We were standing out of the mansion, bidding Vanessa and Lorenzo goodbye as they were leaving the island.

“Please take care of yourself, Pen,” Vanessa said while hugging Pen,

“I will, and you both take care of each other and also my Milly and our little Lorenzo here,” she said and everyone chuckled at her words including Nikolai. I glanced at him and noticed him looking at Vanessa, his eyes watching her in admiration.

We waved our hands at them as they drove off.

As I was walking inside the mansion, I noticed Penelope walking beside me and turned to her. She gave a smile and I couldn’t stop myself. “Pen, can I ask you something?”

“What is it…. Between Nikolai and… Vanessa?” I asked,

She sighed before turning to me, “Well… They had a thing back then,” She said and hearing her, I felt my heart sink.

“But… It wasn’t mutual, She was already married to Lorenzo… so Nik didn’t have a chance and he knew it from day one,” she continued and told everything that happened between them.

I can’t believe what’s been happening to me these past few days.

What have I gotten myself into?

I had slept with a guy who loves someone else and treats me like trash, now I’m pregnant with his child. All these things were pushing me to leave this mansion soon for good. They were adding in and giving me a strong reason to disappear from this mansion and as well as Nikolai’s life for my sake and also my child’s.

Shutting my mind, I rushed to my room. I sat down on my bed and counted to ten.

I rose on my legs and rushed out of my room, without grabbing anyone’s attention. I walked to the backyard of the mansion, since I had gained everyone’s trust, the bodyguards stopped putting their attention on me as they did at the beginning.

Last night, I discovered a shortcut to the yacht and decided to go on that route. If I use this route, I could reach the yacht before them. My heart was pounding inside my chest as I made a run into the woods. I was sweating and out of breath, I stopped and pressed my back to the tree trunk for a minute before running again.

I reached the yacht and watched the crew waiting for Lorenzo and Vanessa on the other side, looking like they hadn’t reached it yet. The crew were a few meters away from the yacht and were busy with themselves. I took the opportunity and sneaked into the yacht.

I carefully sneaked inside the room I placed my bag last night and locked the door. I sat on the bed and released a breath of relief as I was successful in my plan. Now, I have to wait until this yacht moves and leaves this island.
