I sighed and looked at my feet, I noticed the crew members leaving the room and closing the door behind. Vanessa sat beside me and took my hand in hers,

As soon as she said that, I couldn’t stop tears streaming down my eyes. I hugged her and began sobbing, I let all my sorrow out. I was holding everything inside and I was at the edge. I couldn’t control myself anymore.

“I can’t,” I sobbed,

I kept crying, the pain inside was so damn intense that it tore me up from inside out. I made myself like a vessel and stored my pain in it but I guess not everything could be stored inside like that.

Vanessa let me cry my heart out before asking me to tell her what happened and I couldn’t stop myself from telling her.

“I… I was kidnapped by Nikolai after we met by accident in San Francisco,” I said,

“Yes, we had a little fight and he kidnapped me and now…. “I”m Pregnant with his child,” I sobbed,

She placed her hand on her mouth in utter shock, “He never physically hurt me nor forced me into anything but I don’t want to stay there and raise my child there…” I clarified looking at her shocked face. I don’t know why I care about it but I can’t let her think of Nikolai as a bad person.

Vanessa placed her hand on my shoulder, “I understand,” She smiled,

“Do you want to stay at my place?” she asked,

“No Vanessa, Thank you for being so kind but I can’t stay, Nikolai will find me…. I have to go to my home in San Francisco and take my things before leaving,” I said while wiping my tears,

“But Julia, where will you go?” she asked with concern,

“I didn’t decide Ven, but I can’t stay there either, But please don’t worry, I’ll be in touch with you from time to time,” I said, “I promise,”

“Ok,” She smiled,

“Max?” She called and a tall guy appeared at the door.

“Take Juliana to San Francisco and drop her at her home, do provide whatever she needs in the journey… take care of her needs and protect her,” She ordered,

“Also, Lorenzo shouldn’t know anything about this, okay?” She said,

“Yes, Mam,” He nodded his head.

“You may leave,” she ordered,

“Please take care of yourself,” she said turning to me, “You have to take care of yourself for the sake of your baby,”

“I will,” I smiled,

The long journey to Los Angeles came to an end. Vanessa bought food and took care of me through the entire journey.

I’m quite grateful for her help.

Max escorted me out of the Yacht as we reached Los Angeles as she ordered. We were now in the car traveling to San Francisco.

Throughout the journey, I thought of ways to raise this child. I don’t have a proper job and now, I’m on a run. I don’t know what future this child holds but I intend to give my baby a happy life.

I will do whatever it takes to give him a good life.

“Miss. Mitchell?” I hear Max’s Voice,

I opened my eyes and looked at him, “We’ve reached,”

Looking at my apartment, I felt tears rolling in my eyes. I opened the door and stepped outside, I turned back to take my bag but Max insisted he’d bring my luggage so I let him.

I was sitting in my office, working on the previous dealings between the Italian and Russian mafia when all of a sudden, Penelope barged into my office.

“Is everything alright?” I asked while standing up from my chair. She looked tense and panicked.

“What happened?” I asked, rushing towards her.

“She’s missing,” She said,

She lowered her with tears rolling in her eyes, “that must explain her disappearance,”

I didn’t know what to say or how to react.
