I checked if someone was there before climbing onto the yacht, it was beautiful and quite big. I was in a hurry and I didn’t want to get caught so I made it quick. I walked inside the yacht and made my way to the backside of it which is the Crew quarters. I carefully crossed the engine room and entered the Crew quarters.

I slowly turned back and saw nothing, the sound was made by the wind. I sighed deeply while placing a hand over my chest, “Thank god, it’s nothing,” I muttered before turning back.

There were multiple rooms but some of them were locked, I chose the unlocked last room and rushed inside it. It was a cosy place, it had a soft bed, beside it a desk and cupboard.

I opened the cupboard and placed my bag inside and locked it. I wish I would come here on time and everything goes according to plan. I wanted to stay here and wait until Vanessa and her family arrive here and leave the island on the ship but it would be a bad idea. If I don’t come to bid her goodbye when she’s leaving the mansion, Vanessa and others would notice I was missing and this ship wouldn’t leave.

It’s best if I go back now, only then I can execute my plan.

I immediately rushed out of the yacht and got back to the mansion. I see all the bodyguards who were guarding the mansion changing their positions and it was the perfect time to enter the mansion. Since there would be five to ten minutes time for the other shift to start. Without grabbing anyone’s attention I entered the mansion and I was walking through the living room, suddenly I heard two bodyguards walking towards the living room. I panicked and rushed into the kitchen and hid behind the counter. “Well, I don’t know about that,” One of the bodyguards said to the other, “I’m sure that was the reason why the boss went there,” the other one said, “Perhaps,” I don’t know what they are talking about but they were surely referring to Nikolai. After they both left, I quickly went back to my room and locked the door as soon as I stepped inside.

I rushed towards my bed and laid down, “I wish this night comes to an end soon,” I muttered before closing my eyes and slipping into a slumber. ***

Knock***

I woke up as I heard a knock on the door, yawing, I got up and made my way towards the door. Pen was standing outside, a smile appeared on her lips as her eyes landed on me. “Good morning,” she greeted before getting in, “Morning,” I greeted back, “I got something for you,” she said while sitting on the bed, “What?” I asked, walking towards her while shutting the door. “This,” She said while showing a pregnancy kit, “What?” I was shocked and stared at her in surprise, “Well, I noticed that you’ve been vomiting a lot lately, and… when did you have your period?” As she asked me that, I realized, I missed my periods. Holy fuck! I stared at her with a horrified look on my face, I was scared. “By that look on your face…. You missed them, didn’t you?” She asked, I nodded my head at her while gulping hard. “I knew it,” she smiled, “Well, I knew you two were banging each other, Julia,” She said, noticing the look on my face, with a cunning smile on her lips.

“I’d notice the tension between you two from day one,” I sighed while sitting beside her. “Take this,” she said, putting the kit in my hand. “I’ll be here, go and check,” she urged me. I slowly got up from the bed and made my way to the bathroom. ***

I was in the bathroom, staring at the red lines of the kit. This was the fifth one I used and all of them showed two lines indicating I was indeed pregnant. My legs were shivering and I was tensed. I don’t know how to react.

Happy? Sad? Angry? Scared? Dissapointed?

I don’t know what I feel. Penelope had a huge smile on her face as she stared at the lines, standing at the door. She looked happy but was I? What should I do now? I’m pregnant with Nikolai’s Child, the man who fucked me for pleasure and threw me away like a used tissue. “Congratulations, Julianna, You are pregnant,” She jumped and hugged me, “Thank you,” I replied and hugged her back, I don’t know what I’m feeling right now, but there is fear of losing this baby. What if Nikolai doesn’t want this baby and forces me to abort it?

I had tons of questions running wild in my head. “I will inform, Nik about it,” Pen said and turned back, “No, wait,” I said grabbing her hand. She looked at me in confusion, “I will tell him,” I said with a forced smile, “It would be a…. surprise,” I added. “Please don’t tell this to anyone until then,” I requested, “Don’t worry, my lips are tight, your secret is safe with me,” She promised while holding my hand. “but… I’m very happy for you, Julia,” she said while holding my hand, squeezing them. she walked out of the room, leaving me with my thoughts. I want this baby, I always wanted to be a mother but I’m scared for the future of this baby. I guess, this adds one more reason for me to leave this place. I will never, ever let my child grow in a place where his/her mother has been kidnapped and held captive. I sat down on the bed and placed my hand on my belly, “I will take you far away from your awful father and never let his shadow fall on you, baby,” Tears were rolling down my eyes, “All my life, I craved for my mother’s love but she always preferred my sister over me, she loved her more than me… but I will not do that to you, I will love you more than anything,” I wiped my tears, “I promise, I will never ever let anyone hurt you” I promised. This is the promise I make to you, my dear baby.
