The Divorced Heiress’s Revenge

Chapter 2232

Chapter 2232

"Wake up and coax me again."

"Please."

When Bella was crying, the door slowly opened.

Ryan walked in, carrying a bowl of stew. When he saw the scene before him, he froze, his hand holding the bowl trembling uncontrollably.

He had long since had his heart softened by budding love.

The sight before him deeply moved him, stirring an intense urge to shed tears.

Once Bella's sobs quieted down, he calmed himself and walked to her side with light footsteps.

"Bella, have something to eat. I remember you like a stew. I made it for you myself."

For a while, she did not respond.

Ryan glanced sideways and noticed that the breakfast on the bedside table was untouched. His heart ached, feeling heavy with sorrow.

"Ryan... You must hate me now." After a long pause, Bella sat there blankly, her voice quiet and distant." I'm the reason Justin ended up like this. He's your best friend. I didn't take care of him. Instead, I let him nearly lose his life for me. Now he lies here in a coma... Ryan, I know you resent and hate me. Just let it out. You being so calm only makes me feel worse."

"But I don't hate you." Ryan pursed his lips and walked over to sit by the bed. He looked at Justin's pale, bloodless face, and his voice deepened. "Bella, I respect every decision Justin made. No matter the outcome, I won't hate anyone. I'm willing to bear every price and consequence with him."

Bella's heart ached even more. She closed her tear-filled eyes. This content is © NôvelDrama.Org.

"If I'm being brutally honest..." Ryan let out a bitter laugh. "I'm just glad it was him and not you." Bella was stunned and looked at him.

"Bella, Justin isn't as strong as you think he is." Ryan's eyes reddened. "You grew up in a loving family, with parents, aunts, and brothers who doted on you. You've never truly suffered, so you're optimistic, positive, and cheerful. You can face any challenge.

"But Justin isn't like that. He once had nothing. His mother went through hell to restore his status as the second young master of the Salvador family, and since then, he has faced countless schemes. He walked a path filled with obstacles to get where he is today.

"Apart from his grandfather, you're all he has. So, he's far more fragile than you realize because he can't afford to lose. If something were to happen to you, do you believe he'd have the will and courage to keep going? He was diagnosed with depression in his teenage years, and the scars on his left wrist are proof of that.

"So, Bella, you need to stay healthy and strong and wait for him to wake up. Otherwise, Justin's genuine willingness to devote his life to you would be in vain."

Finally moved by his words, Bella trembled as she took the bowl, scooped a spoonful of stew, and put it in her mouth.

"It's delicious." With each bite she took, a tear fell into the bowl.

"Of course. My cooking has my wife's stamp of approval. It's the best!" Ryan forced a smile.

"I want to see Christopher." Bella raised her hand and wiped her tears fiercely, forcing herself to stay strong. "He gave Just in the pills. He must know exactly what he made Justin take!"
