Jeremy and Helena had probably just come out of the mall as well.

Skylar nodded toward them. “I just went to the mall to pick up a few things.”

Helena didn’t know what to say for a moment.

She had planned to take a walk under the night sky with Jeremy but didn’t expect to run into

Skylar so unexpectedly. It felt a bit like being caught with a secret.

She had reconnected with Jeremy over a year ago, through a twist of fate.

Helena had let go of him, knowing that there was no future for them. Jeremy’s heart had always been with Natalie. Yet, she couldn’t control her feelings.

Recently, she realized that she wasn’t just attracted to Jeremy as a person but also to the opportunities he could bring her.

With that thought, she found even more reasons to keep pursuing him. However, she knew that Jeremy probably didn’t want to run into Skylar either.

After all, Skylar was Natalie’s best friend, and seeing them together would make it clear to Natalie that they were involved with each other.

She glanced at Jeremy, who spoke to Skylar, “Natalie’s café is nearby. Are you here to see her?”

If he hadn’t run into Skylar, he might have forgotten that one of Natalie’s cafés was nearby. Lately, he’d been so caught up with other matters that he had pushed that detail out of his

mind.

Skylar nodded and said, “I’m leaving tomorrow so I wanted to see her before I leave. I’ll let you two be and won’t disturb you further.” Then, she picked up her shopping bags and walked away briskly.

Jeremy stood there watching her leave, lost in thought. Helena noticed his reaction and felt uneasy. So she asked, “Do you think seeing us together will affect your relationship with

“Let’s go,” Jeremy interrupted.

Helena was momentarily stunned, and a strange thought crossed her mind. Perhaps he wasn’t interested in Natalie anymore, and maybe that was why he didn’t care if someone saw them together.

At the thought of that, Helena couldn’t help but smile and reply softly, “Okay.”

As soon as Natalie got Skylar’s message, she ran out of the café, sprinting toward her.

“They’re still filming inside, but my scenes are done. Let’s go sit over there. I made two cups of hot milk tea, perfect for this weather!” Natalie said excitedly.

They sat on a park bench nearby.

The night breeze was a bit chilly, but the warmth from the milk tea in their hands provided comfort.

“This is good,” Skylar said, taking several sips. She felt the warmth spread through her chest.

Natalie grinned with pride. “Of course it does! I made it myself, carefully adjusting the recipe!”

“Are you thinking of opening more shops?” Skylar asked with a smile.

Natalie nodded eagerly. “That’s exactly what I’m planning! You always know me best.”

“I could tell back in college that you would become a successful entrepreneur one day. Looks like I wasn’t wrong,” Skylar teased.

Natalie laughed as well. “I also said I wanted to open a flower shop. Maybe I’ll do that next. When you come back, I’ll have fresh flowers delivered to you every day, whatever you like!”
