Richest Mogul 1107
Chapter 1107
Today marked the end of Harvey’s college entrance exams, and Skylar had just returned home. Both Steven and Charles were back as well.
On the other hand, Joe had been swamped with work in the past few days and couldn’t come
over.
“Skylar, you promised me a vacation, right? Anywhere I choose?” Harvey asked.
He held his phone, scrolling through cities and looking at travel guides.
Skylar nodded. “Of course. Anywhere you want to go.”
“I’ll cover all your expenses for this trip. You can spend as much as you want,” Charles said, showing off his wealth. He had recently signed a few endorsements and earned a considerable amount from his acting gigs, so he was feeling quite wealthy.
Steven chimed in with a smile, “I’ll contribute too.”
Skylar added thoughtfully, “We should bring Mom along.”
Over the years, Janine had worked hard to raise them. Lately, she had been busy with her career and hadn’t had the chance to go on a vacation.
With Harvey finishing his college entrance exams and preparing for college, Janine could finally relax. This trip would be a perfect opportunity for her to unwind.
“You two can go have fun. I’m getting old and can’t keep up with your pace. I don’t want to hold you back,” Janine said with a smile.
Seeing all her children happy and healthy in front of her now, Janine felt like her life was
complete.
“No way, Mom! If you’re not going, neither am I. Since Charles is paying, we should all enjoy ourselves.” His tone was firm, almost commanding, leaving no room for refusal.
Skylar nodded in agreement. “Harvey’s right. If you’re not going, neither are we.”
She was genuinely excited at the prospect of a family trip.
Janine couldn’t stop smiling. “Alright, alright. I give in. I’ll go with you two. Now, relax and watch some TV while I make dinner.”
“Mom, don’t bother cooking tonight. We’re eating out. I’ve already booked a restaurant,” Steven said.
Charles chimed in, “I was a little late on that. I wanted to book a restaurant too, but Steven beat me to it.”
Skylar and Harvey echoed in unison, “Thanks, Steven.”
“Everything’s taken care of, huh? Well, that’s perfect. I won’t cook then,” Janine said, her joy evident.
It felt like everything was finally falling into place, and she no longer needed to worry about
her children.
Life had still been kind to her. Despite losing Finn at a young age, Janine had been blessed with four wonderful children. It was the kind of happiness others could only envy.
The five of them took two cars and drove to the restaurant. They arrived at a Wiscadian
restaurant.
Since Janine preferred Wiscadian cuisine and wasn’t fond of other types, Steven made sure to choose a place that would suit her tastes. He had reserved a private room.
Skylar had been here before. She vaguely remembered the restaurant–good food, decent atmosphere.
As soon as they all sat down, Skylar took out her phone, only to realize she had missed a message from Joe a few minutes earlier.
“Did Lizzie contact you?”
Skylar couldn’t help but wonder why Lizzie would need to contact her. She replied, “No. Is there something going on?”
Joe responded quickly, “It’s about her family. She might need you to visit Garza Residence in the next couple of days.”
Skylar quickly replied, “Let’s talk when I get back tonight.”
“Alright. Enjoy your time with your family. I’ll take them all out for dinner one of these days.”
After her brief chat with Joe, Skylar set her phone aside and noticed that Steven wasn’t at the table.
“Where’s Steven?” she asked.
Janine smiled and said, “He went to the restroom. He’s already ordered all the dishes according to what we like.”
“I’ve heard from classmates that this restaurant is the most famous Wiscadian restaurant in Jipsburg. I can’t wait to see if it lives up to the hype,” Harvey said.
He was currently in a growth spurt with a big appetite to match. After finishing his college entrance exams, he felt he could devour the entire menu.
He couldn’t wait to feast. This content © Nôv/elDr(a)m/a.Org.
Seeing Steven, Skylar, and Charles already earning money while he was still in school made him even more impatient. Once he started college, he was determined to earn his own living and become independent.
After Steven stepped out of the restroom and was about to wash his hands, his phone rang.
He exchanged a few brief words with a colleague and was just about to hang up when someone bumped into him.
Just as he was about to say sorry, he froze upon seeing the person who had collided with him.
