Richest Mogul

Richest Mogul 1106

40 minutes later, Helena helped the half–drunken Jeremy into Hughes Residence.

The place was empty, and there was no maid around. She initially planned to leave him at the door, but noticing the absence of help, she asked Jeremy which floor his bedroom was on.

However, Jeremy was too drunk to answer her. She had no choice but to guide him upstairs. After pushing open a door and finding a bedroom inside, she decided to put him on the bed, regardless of whether it was a guest room.

Just as she was about to leave, Jeremy’s heavy body pinned her down. “Mr. Hughes? Mr. Hughes?”

She tried pushing him away, but he wouldn’t budge. She was silenced by a kiss just as she was about to say something.

The room was still dark, and the lights weren’t turned on. In the dim glow, she could make out Jeremy’s deep–set eyes gazing at her intently. His look was so full of emotion and compelling that she felt trapped in it.

Helena’s heart raced as she forgot to speak or push him away. The next moment, Jeremy spoke softly, “You’re finally back…”

The rest of his words were lost in a passionate kiss.

The next morning, Helena woke up, blinded by sunlight. For a moment, she was disoriented But as she focused her eyes, she saw Jeremy standing by the window.

Suddenly, the events of the previous night flooded back to her.

“Mr. Hughes-”

Last night, they had crossed a line.

Jeremy didn’t turn around when he heard Helena call out. He held a cigarette in his hand, took a puff, and released several smoke rings into the air.

Just from his silhouette, it was clear that Jeremy exuded an air of loneliness. There was none of the warmth or tenderness one might expect after the night they had shared.

Helena sensed this change, her face paling as she recalled the scenes from the previous night. In those moments, it seemed he had said to her, “You’re finally back.”

At that moment, she hadn’t thought much of it. But now, it was clear that his words were meant for Natalie.

So, when he woke up and found that the woman from last night had changed from Natalie to

her, he must have felt disappointed.

In that instant, Helena’s face burned as if she had just been punched.

“Name your price. Let’s just pretend last night didn’t happen,” Jeremy finally spoke, but his words caused Helena’s expression to shift dramatically.

She forced a self–deprecating smile and replied, “How about 10 million?”

“Deal.”

Ten minutes later, Helena got dressed and prepared to leave. Jeremy remained with his back to her, standing at the window. “There’s no need to see each other again,” he said.

Helena felt her body stiffen. She bit her lip and replied, “Okay.”

Three days later, after settling Viola’s funeral, Skylar spent a few more days with Gloria at Pearlhall Residence. Exclusive © material by Nô(/v)elDrama.Org.

There had been no updates during this time regarding Viola’s brother, Kevin Zindel. This man seemed to exist only in traces, yet he was nowhere to be found.

He was in Jipsburg City, but they couldn’t locate him.

Skylar and Joe were well aware that he would likely make a move soon.

Harvey had been busy preparing for his college entrance exams in the past few days, and Skylar had promised to take him on a trip for a few days once they were over.
