Frank and Damian were already there when Madelyn and Andrew arrived at Moonlit Restaurant. As for Wilson, he was

Annie approached Madelyn.

“I ordered passion fruit smoothies and lemon cakes for us.”

Annie titled her head and gave it some serious thought.

“I have a great appetite and love sour things, but I feel like throwing up sometimes. Overall, it’s just uncomfortable.”

Was this what pregnancy was like? It was amazing how much it could change a person.

When the food was served, Annie went to sit beside Damian, who carefully attended to her. Almost becoming parents brought about significant changes in them.

“Eat up.”

Andrew placed Madelyn’s favorite food on her plate, and she began to eat silently.

Frank had brought a new girlfriend again, but just like last time, he didn’t introduce her to anyone.

The lady sat demurely beside him, well–behaved and almost

invisible.

The men discussed business matters while Annie shared her pregnancy experiences and pieces of advice with Madelyn.

Suddenly, Damian asked, “Andrew, when will you and Madelyn have kids? Do you have plans to?”

“You guys should continue your conversation,” Madelyn

replied, collecting herself and resuming her chat with Annie.

Andrew was relieved that she seemed fine and continued discussing other matters with Wilson.
