Annie kicked Damian under the table, making him feel even more aggrieved. He was mad, but he did not dare to speak

out.

Annie turned to Madelyn and said, “Don’t bother with him. He’s just an idiot.”

Annie could tell from her earlier reaction that Madelyn might

have some issues with conceiving.

As such, the emotionally intelligent Annie didn’t bring up the

topic of children again.

The two began to talk about bags and jewelry.

Annie looked disappointed after speaking. Last year, she tried to get each of the four seasonal collections but failed every time.

She had hoped to acquire some this year, but Naomi Palmer hadn’t released anything.

Madelyn smiled.

“Maybe something came up, or perhaps designing isn’t her main profession.”

Annie nodded in response.

“Maybe, but her designs are amazing. Her first collection

even won an award. Everyone was curious about what the designer of ‘Spring‘ looked like, but she didn’t even show up to accept the award. She’s basically a mystery.”

Talking about it made Annie even more disappointed. She

vowed that she must meet Naomi in her lifetime.

Suddenly, she noticed Madelyn’s earrings.

“Wait! Don’t move!”

She reached out and gently removed one of Madelyn’s earrings, examining it closely before exclaiming, “Isn’t this from Naomi’s second collection, ‘Summer Cicadas“?”

Before Madelyn could speak, Annie emotionally blurted, ” How did you get them? This design is my favorite! I tried for two months but couldn’t get them, so how did you manage

to get them?“,

Annie’s repeated exclamations showed how much she loved Naomi’s designs.

Seeing her so excited gave Damian a headache.

“Be careful with the baby.”

“Shut up! If Naomi had continued to make jewelry, I would

have gotten some by now. Why isn’t she releasing new designs?” Annie started to wail.

Seeing how different Annie was compared to before, Madelyn couldn’t help but think that pregnancy affected a

woman’s sense of taste and personality.

Madelyn offered, “I can give them to you if you don’t mind.”

“Really? Can you really give them to me?”

“They’re worn, though!”

“That’s fine. I don’t mind at all.”

Annie held the earring in her hand as if it were treasure,

reluctant to give it back to Madelyn.

The old Annie was a composed person, but the Annie before Madelyn at that moment seemed just like a child.

Madelyn took off the other earring and handed it to her. Annie was so overjoyed she was reluctant to put them away.

“Maddie, I love you. I love you a lot.”

Madelyn was speechless at Annie’s change in personality. She felt that the latter was spectacularly carefree.

The previously joyful atmosphere suddenly turned cold.

Andrew pulled Madelyn into his arms in a domineering display of possessiveness that made everyone gasp but hesitant to say a single word.

Annie excitedly blew several kisses to Madelyn. Upon seeing Andrew’s expression, Damian quickly stopped her. “Stop moving around, dear.”

No one expected that the usually -composed Annie would lose control like this because of something or someone she was passionate about.

After dinner, Frank suggested going to Grandiose Club. Normally, Damian would be all for it.

However, this time, he held Annie and said, “Pregnant women need to sleep early.”

He then took Annie home, ignoring Frank in the process.

Wilson wasn’t interested in places like that, and naturally, neither was Andrew.

Before, only Damian would go wild with Frank. Seeing that everyone was eager to head home, Frank also lost interest and left with his girlfriend.
