Chapter 803: He Listens to Me

"Brother, over here, sister-in-law." Phoebe called out as she watched the two of them enter.

Yanis glanced over and walked over with Zane. "When did you arrive?"

"While you were in a passionate embrace," Phoebe said, moving aside to make room for Zane and

Yanis to sit. "I thought you two would be embracing each other forever."

"We wanted to," Yanis replied with a smile as she sat down.

Phoebe pouted, "I just ate a lot, and now I can't eat another bite."

Yanis chuckled, "When we go back to Manches City later, do you want to join us?"

Upon hearing Yanis' words, Phoebe was shocked and asked, "Are you two going back to Manches City

today?"

Yanis nodded, "Your brother asked Albi to book the plane tickets just now and asked if you wanted to

go back too."

Phoebe looked at Zane, who was sitting next to her, and asked, "Brother, what's going on? Weren't you

here for a honeymoon trip? Why are you going back so soon?"

"There's something going on," Zane replied concisely.

"What could be more important than sister-in-law? Isn't there Albi to handle company matters? And if

not, there's still Dad. You finally came out to take sister-in-law on a trip, and now you're going back just

like that?" Phoebe was extremely shocked by Zane's actions.

Yanis timely spoke up to explain for Zane, "It's not a company matter, and it has nothing to do with your

brother."

Phoebe knew Zane quite well, so when she heard Yanis' explanation, she naturally thought Yanis was

covering up for Zane. "Sister-in-law, don't spoil him. If it's a company matter, I'll have Dad go and

handle it with Albi. You guys just enjoy yourselves."

As she said that, Phoebe picked up her phone and prepared to call Dylan.

Yanis reached out to stop Phoebe and said softly, "It's not a company matter, nor is it your brother's

problem. It's something on my end." NôvelDrama.Org holds text © rights.

Phoebe met Yanis' serious gaze and asked, "What happened? Why the rush to go back?"

Yanis didn't hide anything from Phoebe and explained truthfully, "Bonnie fell down, and I'm a little

worried about her, so I discussed with your brother about going back to check on her."

Phoebe was naturally aware of Bonnie's pregnancy, so after hearing Yanis' words, she didn't say

anything else. "Alright, can we book tickets now? If we can, I'll go back with you guys."

Yanis looked at Zane and asked, "Is everything booked with Albi?"

Zane picked up his phone, "I'll ask."

Because of the rain, several flights were temporarily suspended here, so buying tickets would definitely

be a bit tight.

However, Albi was quite efficient in handling matters, and he quickly booked the tickets directly.

The timing was a bit tight, with the flight departing at 2 p. m. in the afternoon.

"Let's pack our things first, and later we'll have the hotel send us to the airport." Zane looked at Yanis

and Phoebe after hanging up the phone.

Phoebe raised her hand and looked at the time, "You and sister-in-law go pack your things. I don't have

much to pack, I'll be ready in a moment. I'll go out first."

Without waiting for Zane and Yanis to say anything, Phoebe hurriedly left.

Yanis watched Phoebe's hurried figure and turned her head to look at Zane, "Do you think they have a

chance?"

Upon hearing Yanis' question, Zane softly replied, "Let nature take its course."

Yanis nodded, "But I still hope they both find someone to be by their side."

Zane nodded and stood up, then handed his hand to Yanis. "Go pack your things."

Yanis stood up with Zane's support. "I'll let Ivan know later."

"Okay."

But before Yanis could make the call, Ivan's call came in first. "I heard you're going back this

afternoon?"

Yanis responded, "Bonnie had a situation, and I'm worried, so I want to go back and check on her. It'll

put my mind at ease."

Ivan asked, "Did your significant other say anything?"

"He listens to me," Yanis replied.

Upon hearing Ivan's words, Yanis chuckled lightly. "That's good. I'll come over later to send you to the

airport. What time is your flight?"

"Two in the afternoon. It's fine, the hotel can arrange transportation for us. If you're busy, don't bother

coming all the way," Yanis replied.

Ivan responded, "I don't have anything to do this afternoon either. I'll come and send you guys. By the

way, has Darin contacted you?"

"Not yet. What's up?" Yanis asked.

"No big deal, just curious. He said he wanted to share some good news with you, but he didn't tell me

what it was," Ivan explained.

"He hasn't contacted me yet. He's probably busy," Yanis said, pausing for a moment before continuing,

"Did Phoebe come to see you?"

There was a few seconds of silence before Ivan responded with a "Hmm," followed by saying, "Yanis,

you know I don't have the patience for that right now. Can you talk to her?"

Yanis sighed helplessly and said, "Do you think it's appropriate for me to intervene?"

"I think it is," Ivan replied.

Yanis said, "But I think it's not."

"Yanis..."

"Ivan, you don't have to do this. Phoebe is not the type to be pushy. You can talk to her calmly and

directly, so it won't cause any trouble. Do you understand what I mean?" Yanis suggested.

After listening to Yanis' words, Ivan nodded. "I understand. I'll have a good talk with her later. I'll come

to send you guys to the airport."

Yanis didn't refuse and responded, "Alright, you can talk first."

Ivan acknowledged with a "Hmm."

After hanging up the phone, Yanis sighed. "Looks like Phoebe is facing some difficulties."

Zane stopped what he was doing and looked at Yanis, asking, "What did he say?"

"He said he doesn't have the patience right now and doesn't want to delay Phoebe," Yanis explained.

Zane placed the neatly folded clothes into the suitcase and said, "Then let him talk to Phoebe directly."

Yanis nodded. "That's what I said too."

...

In the city center of M Country, at a café.

Phoebe sat by the window, watching the bustling traffic outside.

After waiting for about fifteen to sixteen minutes, Ivan's figure finally appeared in Phoebe's line of sight.

Just like the scene when she first saw Ivan years ago.

The first time Phoebe saw Ivan was in a dessert shop across the street from their school.

She was sitting by the window, waiting for Neve.

And Ivan entered her field of vision just like that.

At that time, Ivan was a bit youthful, and young boys always liked to wear white shirts. It was raining

heavily that day, just like today.

He walked over with an umbrella, and no matter how you looked at it, Ivan at that time seemed to be

carrying a ray of light. Her eyes were instantly attracted to him.

It felt like her surroundings were all dark, and Ivan was the beam of light that broke in. It was something

she didn't want to look at, but it still drew her in.

She didn't quite understand the so-called love at first sight between people until it happened to her.
