Chapter 802: Don't Want to See You Sad
Upon hearing Haider's voice, Yanis couldn't help but pause for a moment. "Haider, why do you have
Bonnie's phone?"
"She accidentally fell and is currently undergoing examination. When she comes out, comfort her,"
Haider explained.
After hearing Haider's words, Yanis immediately became nervous. "How is she doing now? Is it
serious?"
"It's still uncertain. We'll know after the examination, but there was a lot of blood when she was brought
in, and I'm worried..."
Although Haider didn't finish his sentence, Yanis understood. "No, Myles will definitely protect her."
Speaking softly, Haider said, "I just wanted to let you know so that you can comfort her when she
comes out."
"Okay, if things don't improve, we'll go back this afternoon. But I don't know when flights will resume
here because it's raining heavily today, and flights have been temporarily suspended."
Haider expressed his concerns. "I'm worried it might be the worst-case scenario. If everything is fine,
there's no need for you to come back. But if there's a real emergency, I'll rely on you."
"No, nothing is more important than Bonnie."
After a few more words with Haider, Yanis ended the call. When Zane came back from his call, he
noticed Yanis looking deeply troubled. "What's wrong?"
Yanis briefly explained the situation to Zane. "I'm worried about Bonnie, Zane. Shouldn't we see if we
can book tickets and go back now?"
Bonnie was important to Yanis, and Zane didn't waste any unnecessary words. He picked up his phone
immediately. "I'll ask Albi to help us book tickets. If we can get them, we'll go back."
Yanis didn't expect Zane to agree so readily. "But you finally had the chance to come out with me."
"We'll have more opportunities in the future."
After instructing Albi, Zane looked at Yanis and said, "You have breakfast first. Phoebe will come over
soon."
Yanis had no appetite now, but to avoid worrying Zane, she ate a little.
Seeing Yanis take a few bites, Phoebe put down her utensils and asked, "Sister-in-law, are you feeling
unwell?"
Yanis shook her head. "I'm fine. You go ahead and eat. I'll go out for some fresh air."
Yanis stood up and prepared to go outside for a walk, and as she did, Zane stood up as well.
"You eat. I'll go with you," Zane said, looking concerned.
"I won't go far, just to the lobby downstairs. Finish your meal and come find me later," Yanis said in a
low voice.
Zane was about to say something when Phoebe interjected, "Brother, you eat first. You can go and
accompany sister-in-law later."
After saying that, Phoebe turned to Yanis and added, "Sister-in-law, you go ahead."
Yanis nodded, turned around, and left the room.
As soon as Yanis left, Zane also stood up. Phoebe looked at him with a serious expression. "You're not
going to do something foolish again, are you?"
Zane glanced at Phoebe with indifference. "Mind your own business."
"Did you really do it?"
Zane took a seat nearby and quickly finished the remaining food. "Just eat your meal. Ask the staff to
clean up later."
With that, Zane turned and left the room.
Phoebe watched Zane's departure, let out a sigh, and lost her appetite instantly. She stood up, tidied
the room, and then headed downstairs.
Yanis stood on the hotel's doorstep, watching the raindrops fall to the ground, feeling extremely
worried.
After a moment's hesitation, she decided to call Haider again.
She dialed the number, but there was no answer on the other end.
Yanis tried twice with the same result, which only heightened her uneasiness. Finally, she dialed
Bonnie's number.
After several rings, the call was answered, and Haider's voice came through. "Yanis."
"Haider, how is Bonnie doing?"
"It's okay. But she'll need to lie in bed and take care of the pregnancy," Haider briefly explained the
situation to Yanis. "I'll have her call you after Bonnie is done."
"Okay," Yanis replied.
Knowing that Bonnie was fine, Yanis instantly felt relieved.
If they couldn't save the child, Yanis didn't dare to think about what Bonnie might do. If she hadn't
known that nothing had happened between Bonnie and that person that night, Yanis believed that
when Myles left, Bonnie would definitely have wanted to go with him.
So, Yanis was even more worried that Bonnie might do something drastic.
As long as the baby was safe, Bonnie would be fine. She didn't even need them to remind her to rest
well; she would carefully follow the doctor's instructions.
"Why are you standing outside?" Zane's voice came from behind Yanis, and she turned to look at him.
"You finished eating so quickly?"
Zane stepped forward, pulling Yanis back slightly to avoid the rain. "I was worried about you."
Yanis smiled and said, "I'm fine. I just wanted to come down and get some fresh air, and I'm a little
worried about Bonnie."
Zane looked at Yanis and asked, "Did you call her? Should I ask Albi to go check on her?"
Yanis shook her head. "No need. I just called Haider earlier. Bonnie is fine, and the baby is fine too."
At this point, Yanis paused for a moment before continuing, "Actually, I'm worried that if something
happens to the baby, Bonnie won't be okay."
When Zane heard Yanis's words, he remained silent without responding.
Because he suddenly thought about whether Yanis had also considered such extreme measures when
the baby couldn't be saved before. Or did she ever think of leaving this world when she was lonely and
helpless in the Hill District of Viteto?
Just thinking about it, Zane felt his breathing become difficult.
"She'll be fine. We'll go back once we hear from Albi," Zane finally spoke.
Yanis was about to say something when Zane's phone rang.
It was a call from Albi.
Zane answered the call directly.
After the call connected, Albi's voice came through the phone, "Mr. Lawrence, if the rain subsides in the
afternoon, flights will resume. Are you sure you want to book tickets to come back?"
Zane glanced at Yanis's face and said, "Yes, go ahead and book them. Also, book a ticket for Phoebe."
"Okay," Albi acknowledged.
Zane hung up the phone and looked at Yanis. "We'll go back this afternoon."
Yanis looked at Zane and asked, "Did you manage to book the tickets?"
Zane nodded. "Yes."
"Zane, I'm sorry. I'm really worried about Bonnie," Yanis said.
Zane reached out and gently pulled Yanis into his embrace. "No need to apologize. I already said it
earlier, we'll have plenty of opportunities in the future. For now, let's go back and check on her. I don't
want to see you sad."
Yanis raised her hand and hugged Zane back, softly murmuring, "Thank you."
Phoebe came out and saw the two embracing each other, so she didn't approach them. She turned
around and headed to the lounge area in the lobby.Property belongs to Nôvel(D)r/ama.Org.
