“I…” a voice muttered and everyone’s eyes moved towards the direction where the voice came from and to their surprise, they all saw Hannah looking so beautiful in her dress.

Brandon swallowed hard as he stared at her. He was almost lost in her beauty, he had seen lots of beautiful women in his life, but this woman in front of him, there was something about her beauty that made a strange feeling arouse in him.

“What the hell?” Grandma Elizabeth muttered with shock in her eyes.

“You asshole!” she muttered as she stared at Hannah who walked towards her kids and kissed them on their cheeks.

“The driver will take you guys to school. I’ll come to pick you guys up when you close from school” Hannah said as the kids stood up from the chair they were sitting on.

“It’s fine Mommy, you should focus on your work, you can ask the driver to pick us up from school,” Jayden said and she smiled at the same kids. She didn’t know what she could do without them.

“Bye Mommy, we love you” The kids waved at them and ran out of the house but just then Jayden came running back to Hannah.

“Honey, is everything alright?” Hannah asked and Jayden smiled at her.

“Good luck with your new job. Prove to them that you are the queen of the Mackenzie Empire” Jayden said and hugged Hannah.

“Thank you, honey,” Hannah said as she felt tears gather in her eyes. Jayden smiled at her and then walked out of the house to the car.

Meanwhile, Elizabeth and Brandon have been staring at the mother and kids. Elizabeth didn’t know why but she felt so jealous of Hannah and her kids. While Brandon on the other hand stared at Hannah strangely, he admired the way she mothered her kids.

Elizabeth stared at Brandon and noticed the way he was staring at Hannah. She’s never seen Brandon stare at any woman that way. It was like there was something else in his eyes while he stared at her.

She wondered what Hannah might have done to her son, she thought.

Hannah turned to Brandon and noticed he was staring at her, she smiled at him and Brandon quickly looked away from her.

Elizabeth frowned and stood up from the dining table. She wasn’t going to sit and watch those two stare at each other with love in their eyes, she needed to do something before everything got out of hand.

Hannah watched Grandma Elizabeth walk away angrily. She sat on the chair and started eating.

“I see you know how to get my grandma angry,” Brandon said as he gulped down the water from the glass cup. Hannah hummed without staring at him.

Brandon stared at her, all he wanted to tell her was how beautiful she was looking, but he quickly shook off the thoughts. He didn’t want to let his pride down.

“We would be going to Mr. Donald’s party this evening, ” Brandon said as he stood up from the chair and Hannah nodded.

“The driver will bring you to the company, you should be in the office before 10 am. There is gonna be a board meeting, I want you to attend so I can introduce you to the board members” Brandon said and raised her head, staring deep down into Brandon’s eyes.

“Okay,” she said and looked away from him and then continued eating her food.

“Okay? Hmm weird!” Brandon thought as he scoffed and walked out of the house. He hopped inside his car and drove out of the compound.

Immediately, Hannah heard his car leave, she stood up and carried her bag. She walked out of the house and entered the car while the driver drove her to the office.

The driver opened the door and Hannah alighted the car.

She was wearing a red gown, her lips were as red as blood, with a sunglasses on.

“Mrs. Mackenzie” she heard someone call her name and she turned, to her surprise she saw Liam, Brandon’s PA. Has he been waiting for me outside? she thought as she smiled at him.

“Mr. Colby asked me to wait for you outside. I’ll show you to your office and I employed a new personal assistant. If you need anything you could ask me or the personal assistant” Liam said and Hannah nodded as they both walked inside the company, lots of eyes staring at them.

“What about Brandon?” Hannah asked as they both entered the elevator.

“He’s in the boardroom, the board meeting will start in the next five minutes, you should join them,” Brandon said and Hannah nodded in response.

The elevator stopped on the last floor, and Hannah recognized the area very well. It was on the same floor as Brandon’s office.

“Your office is next to Mr. Colby’s office,” Liam said and Hannah stared at him surprised. She thought Brandon’s office was the only one on the last floor, she didn’t know there was another, she thought.

She walked past Brandon’s office and entered her office, there she met a lady sitting down but immediately the lady saw Liam and Hannah walking in, she stood up at once.

“This is your new Personal assistant, Kara Derrick,” Liam said

“Hi ma’am” Kara muttered and Hannah smiled at her.

Liam stared at the woman, he wondered why she was always smiling. But if there was one thing he wouldn’t lie about was that the lady was very pretty.

“Ma’am I prepared everything you need, I didn’t know what you like so I got you a hot coffee and I cleared all your schedule for today because you gonna be attending the party with Mr Brandon and the board meeting is gonna start in two minutes,” Kara said calmly and Hannah raised her eyebrows,

Not bad, she was sure she’s gonna enjoy her time with Kara because she seems so good at her job.

“If you need Anything, ma’am, I’ll be right beside you,” Kara said Hannah nodded and walked out of the office to the board room where the meeting was being held.

Immediately she entered the board, everywhere went silent at once, all eyes were on her.

“Who is she?” The board members thought, whispering among themselves.

Meanwhile, Brandon who was on his phone raised his head immediately after he saw Hannah and asked her to sit down.

“Attention everyone…” Brandon said and everywhere became as silent as a graveyard.

“As we all discussed in the previous meeting, I told you guys I was going to bring in a new COO since my grandma is no longer fit for the job… and yes of course, I kept to my word…. Meet my Wife, Cinderella Mackenzie, the new COO of BRC. CO” Brandon said and the board members opened their mouths wide in shock.

“What?!” The board members muttered in shock. They had thought maybe he was gonna bring in his sister as his new COO, but he brought in a woman who he claims to be his wife, it was shocking to them all.

“Oh don’t tell me I missed the meeting!” A voice muttered as the door burst open, everyone turned to see who it was and to their greatest surprise, it was Grandma Elizabeth.

“What are you doing here? I thought I….”

“I’m still a member of the board, remember?” Elizabeth said, cutting off Brandon’s speech.

“This meeting is adjourned. Everyone out!” Brandon said and all the board members stood up and left and Of Course except Elizabeth, Hannah, and Brandon.

“No matter how hard you try Brandon, you cannot force me to stay away from this company, it’s mine…..”

“Point of correction, the company is mine and mine alone,” Brandon said angrily, Elizabeth became calm immediately after he saw the angry look on Brandon’s face.

“Brandon, honey, can’t you see this woman is trying to get between us? She’s only after your money” Elizabeth said and Brandon shot her a deadly glare.

“Yeah, I can see that, same way you tried coming between my mom and dad…” Brandon said and Elizabeth swallowed hard.

“You think I don’t know the truth? You know what? Leave this company or the guard will help you out” Brandon said and with that, he walked out of the boardroom.

Meanwhile, Hannah sat down watching the whole scene without uttering a word, immediately Brandon left, she stood up and was about to leave but Elizabeth pulled her by her hair.

“You Bastard!” Elizabeth yelled

“Let go of my hair!” Hannah said as she pushed Elizabeth away, making her fall to the ground. Hannah wondered why the woman hated her so much.

“How dare you push me, you whore,”

“Oh Grandma, you know I’m not a whore, I’m your son’s wife and your new boss, you should start addressing me as your new COO,” Hannah said and was about to walk away when Elizabeth spoke, making her pause.

“Oh yeah, COO Hannah Rodriguez, I’m sure your Ex husband Jeff Mickelson doesn’t know you are married to his stepbrother,” Elizabeth said and Hannah turned to her swiftly.

“Jeff and Brandon are Brothers?”
