Unwanted Wife – English

Jewel POV

I just arrived in Baguio, even though my eyes were still swollen, I really tried to leave and get away from my husband’s house. I don’t know where I’m going as long as I can find something that can be rented here is fine with me.

I want to be able to think first because right now my mind is confused and I want peace of mind. As I was taking a walk I bumped into a woman with luggage. “I’m sorry, I didn’t notice you.” I apologize.

“It’s okay dear, I didn’t notice you either because I was not  looking either . Looks like you’re looking for someone or something.” She asked me.

I scratched my head. “Ah eh, there it is, I’m looking for a place to rent.” I answered.

“Are you new to this place?”

“Yes.” I answered

“You can come with me, there’s still a vacant room in my house there but it’s not big and if you want there’s a hotel in the other barangay.”

“Do you really have a vacancy? That’s okay. I’m not looking for a big one, the important thing is I have a place to stay.” I said.

“Then you can come with me, so that I can show you to decide if you will stay or find another,”

“Do you have a son or daughter?” I ask.

“She’s not my real child, she had an accident before and my husband saw her so he helped her. And later we decided to just adopt her and treat her like a real child.”

I nodded to the old woman and went with her because she was also going home. Not far from their house where we were, we just rode a tricycle to get home immediately.

“Come inside Jewel, don’t be shy.” She said, in fact their house is nice and clean. She is not as big as our house but it is enough for one family.

“Where is your husband, granny?” I asked because I remember she mentioned earlier that she had a husband,

She smiled at me. “He died a year ago so Marga and I are the only ones together now.” I was momentarily stunned by the name she mentioned.

“Oh do you have a problem?” she asked me when she had noticed my reaction.

“Nothing, I just remembered the name you mentioned. I also have an acquaintance.” I answered.

“Ah, is that so?  Where is she now?”

I suddenly felt sad. “She’s dead, I was with her in an accident and I was the only one who survived.” I said.

“That’s why your face is so sad when I mention her name. Anyway, I just feel at home here. I’ll just cook what we can eat and soon Marga will be here too, maybe she is just wandering around . ”

I nodded and went straight to the room where Granny pointed out so that I could fix my things as well. I didn’t bring much, just enough for me. I can buy some anytime if I want..

I just took out a bag I was carrying my clothes and arranged in the cabinet and then I lay down on the bed first because I felt drowsy.

I just woke up when I heard a knock on my door so I woke up to open it.

“Hey sis we will eat —” the woman in front of me stopped in what she would say when she saw me and I also reacted the same way when I saw her.

I never thought I would see her alive because I thought she was long dead.

“Margaaa.” I said softly.Belonging to NôvelDrama.Org.

“Big sister Jewel.” almost tearful tears of her promise.

I quickly hugged her tightly. Knowing that we hadn’t been able to talk properly before when the accident happened and since we thought she was already dead I can’t quite imagine seeing her now.

“Oh kids, what’s going on with you there? I ordered Marga to call that so we can eat already.” Granny suddenly gasped.

I immediately told her that what I had told her that I knew and Marga who is with us now is the same. She could hardly believe that the day would come when Marga would find one of her acquaintances because she was ashamed to approach her parents so she chose to stay here with Granny.

We ate together while chatting. And then Granny said that she would take care of it and Marga and I would just talk because she knew we still had things to talk about. So the two of us just went to the veranda where my beautiful view was overlooking.

“How are you?” I asked her..

“I’m totally fine.” she replied smiling.

“I didn’t know you were just here, I thought you died in the accident.” I said.

“That’s also what I thought, it’s just a weed. Maybe I really didn’t die, but I believe more that my brother Daven saved me, he was my guardian angel at that time. That’s all I lost one of my one feet , but it’s okay the important thing is I’m alive. ” she said sadly.

“What did the doctor say? You can still walk, can’t you? You can still put metal to serve as one of your legs.” I suggested.

“It’s okay big sister, of course I can but I didn’t continue because it took too much money for that to happen.”

“Why didn’t you let your parents know you were alive? They suffered a lot when they found out you were dead.” I said..

She smiled bitterly. “I didn’t do it sister because I’m ashamed of them, of all the things I’ve done that ruin our family’s name. I don’t know how to face them anymore.”

“You know that aunt and uncle love you very much and they will accept you no matter what you have done wrong because you are their child. You are the only one they have.” my insistence.

“I hope it’s that easy, sister, but I believe that we will also come at that time when I will face them again and apologize. What about you, why are you here? Where is Kuya Thunder and Storm?”

I bowed down because of her question, less than a day later I missed my husband and child but I can’t go back there. I will tell Marga what happened and why I ended up here.
