THE LIE: DECEPTION TO THE CEO

Between the time of the food accident and Christopher’s arrival, approximately ten minutes elapsed. Subsequently, the recording shows Amber being taken out of the room by security personnel and Dylan behind her.

At no time in any of the videos was there any affection between Amber and Dylan. She always kept her distance from him. Even in the elevator video, no affectionate gesture was observed. It showed the two of them conversing and her trying to keep her blouse away from her body.

From what was deduced from the videos, she only entered the suite to wash her clothes or in any case, to receive help from Lugo. Unfortunately, for Christopher, this was proof of Amber’s innocence and the plot someone put together to harm her.

Next, the head of security showed another video, when she left the medical services and was escorted by security personnel to her car.

Finally, they show when Christopher’s Ferrari, started up behind her. Finally, they observed the young man who recorded and forwarded the photos, in the parking lot, getting into a car that arrived to pick him up, in which it could not be clearly seen, who was driving it nor the identifying plates of the same.

For Christopher as for his friend, this only meant, that someone plotted everything, to separate him from Amber and succeeded. He fell into the trap. Joshua, observing his friend’s disconsolate face, patted him on the back and sent him the videos to his email.

-I was stupid! I was an asshole! Someone set me up and I fell for it,” Christopher confirmed, clenching his fists tightly to control the anger that welled up in him.

-I think we both saw the same thing,” Joshua confessed, strongly distrusting Dylan.

-Yeah, I guess we thought the same thing, Dylan must have been in on this. Why, how did they know she would be there? Why was he behind the sponsorship of this event? -He asked, looking knowingly at Joshua.

“How did the young man know that by throwing the food on Amber, she would not go to the bathroom, there nearby, but would go with Dylan to his suite? -Christopher continued to question.

He was sure, that somehow Dylan and the young man were related to the events.

-What do you plan to do? -Joshua asked, regretfully.

-I don’t know yet, I should have done this right then and there, but I got carried away by jealousy and anger,” clenching his fists and punching the office wall.

“I must hire someone to locate me, that delinquent,” he asserted, “and get the truth out of him at any cost. To tell me who paid him to do this. I want to know who was behind all this?

-Christopher, I wouldn’t want to be in your shoes,” Joshua added.

-It was a big mistake I made, I should have asked Amber, listened to her, given her a chance to defend herself. It was all a farce -concluded the desolate man- And I fell for it! I played their game!

Tears of regret, began to run down his cheeks; he felt very bad, he had a strong pressure in his chest, in his heart and what hurt him most was to think that she was innocent of the supposed betrayal, everything was a lie….

-I hit her, I insulted her, I chased her!!!!! I caused her accident, I left her injured and passed out in her car and indirectly I am to blame for the death of our son.

-It was my son!!!… Joshua, now I’m sure,” exclaimed Christopher, feeling a strong pressure in his chest, letting his tears run freely down his face, feeling more and more miserable.

“Even though I didn’t pay to have her beaten and miscarried, I am responsible for the death of my first child! No wonder Amber, she hates me so much! I don’t deserve to live,” he confessed, with a totally choked cry.

-Calm down Christopher! You must control yourself – Joshua begged, trying to comfort him, he had never seen Christopher like that, it was amazing, watching him in that state.

-My God, Joshua! How much I hurt her? She is the woman I have loved the most,” he grunted disconsolately, his voice was heartbreaking.

-Calm down, my friend! Show her the video, if she won’t forgive you, at least let her know that it wasn’t your fault that you were cheated on! -Joshua suggested, worried about his friend, who looked really bad.

“Who else is behind this? -I don’t think it’s Dylan alone. But I’m going to find out who they were and they’ll pay me back as my name is Christopher Morillo Wood.

-Ask for forgiveness! -His friend recommended- Show him the videos! We can edit them, to make a single one in sequence, obviously, without touching the original at all, in case you need it judicially -proposed his friend, to comfort him.

-With what face do I ask for forgiveness, Joshua? -He asked, angry with himself, dejected, feeling despicable, trying to control his emotions.

As he left his friend’s office, he thanked him for all the cooperation he had given him, which allowed him to discover the truth that, until now, had been kept hidden, due to his own negligence. Moreover, he recalled that it was his mother who suggested and advised him to look for the video.

Faced with this discovery, Christopher was very sad and disappointed in himself, realizing the mistakes he made and especially the injustices he committed with Amber, with the woman he loved the most and who would give him a son.

“My God, it was my son, I let myself be carried away by jealousy and rage, I am the only one to blame for the death of my own son!” he reflected, letting tears flood his eyes.

“This I will never forgive myself, because of me my son died,” he concluded.

“Now, I do understand, because Lugo never denounced me for the injuries I did to him” he analyzed, reliving the deplorable state in which he left him after the beating.
