THE LIE: DECEPTION TO THE CEO

A month later

Michelle, preparing again to attack Christopher, met with a group of businessmen to whom she gave relevant information about the company, so that they could take advantage of their negotiations with him and somehow make him go bankrupt.

Nevertheless, Christopher, after the negotiation with Amber, was dedicated to expand his business and to cover other branches that until now were not of his interest, being one of them that of tourism, for which he looked for some travel agencies with which to negotiate and businessmen in Saint Lucia, as well as in its neighboring islands.

During those weeks, he moved to some islands in his private yacht, trying to settle with businessmen to start new activities in this field. With these new activities and his profits, he will try to compensate the losses suffered in the construction area.

At the end of the month and back to Santiago de Leon, Christopher moved again to his parents’ mansion, where he found his family gathered and waiting for him. They were all expecting excellent news, trusting in his skills as a negotiator, visionary and entrepreneur.

For some time now, he had already been working on expanding his field of service provision in other places and other areas.

-Son, how did it go? -asked his father, now more recovered and proud of his son’s achievements.

-Very well, father! And how are you doing? -he asked, observing that his father was looking better.

-Thank God and your mother, I’m doing very well! -He answered with a smile, happy that his son had solved everything.

-Mommy and you, how are you?” he asked, looking at her and kissing her hands on the table.

-Wonderful! Son, and even more when you are here,” she declared with much feeling, so he hugged her with much affection.

-Hello, little brother! -His sister greeted him, approaching him to kiss him.

-Hi, how are you?” he asked, smiling with her, “and Thiago?

-He’s on his way down, he was in the bathroom,” she answered, sitting down in front of her mother.

They had dinner and then went to the intimate living room, where they talked and caught up on family and business matters.

As they retired to their room, Christopher sent a WhatsApp message to his friend Joshua, to find out when he would be back.

[“Hi Joshua! How are you?” he asked, waiting for Joshua to reply].

[“Hey buddy, I’m doing great! Two days ago my secretary passed me a message from you, which apparently she had missed. I called you, but you didn’t have a signal,” he said].

[I was not here, in Santiago de Leon, I was traveling and I’m coming. When are you coming back?”, asked Christopher].

[The day after tomorrow! I already finished everything here, so I should be in Santiago de Leon from nine to ten in the morning. Why? What do you need?”, he asked].

[So, when you arrive, let me know. In any case, I need to meet you, but in your office,” he requested].

[Perfect! I’ll let you know,” replied his friend.]

Three days later

Christopher, arriving at the punctual hour indicated by his friend, to his office in the Hotel Rosal, greeted him and explained him in detail….

-I need to find out what really happened, that fateful day, between Amber and Dylan, in the presidential suite,” Christopher commented, “Hence I wish, please, allow me to see the videos of that day, in the hotel.

-Christopher, that was a long time ago, I can’t guarantee anything, but let’s see what the guys in the system can do for you,” clarified his friend, picking up the handset of his phone.

“The advantage is that it’s just one day, what day was it and what time? -asked his friend, informing his staff.

The latter answered him, giving the exact date and average times, asking him to check one hour before and one hour after, just in case. Upon contacting the system department, his boss reminded him that there were some videos that were lost, two years ago, due to the thefts made by the worker who was fired.

-Oh, gee! That’s right, I didn’t remember that,” replied Joshua. Let’s hope this one will be,” he announced to his employee.

-Okay, boss, let’s see what we can find! What are you looking for? Clearly -insisted the head of the department, intrigued- What time will you give me to get what you are looking for?

-Simply, I am looking for what happened that day, to clear up some doubts and the time you require, but I need it as soon as possible,” added the CEO.

He immediately informed Christopher about what had been discussed with the system manager and asked him to keep in touch.

-As for the rest, as soon as I receive any news, I will call you,” he assured his friend.

Christopher left the hotel convinced that he would be found. Unfortunately, he kept an eye out for it that day, but the call from his friend that he longed for did not come.

One week later

At the Rosal hotel, around noon, the system manager called the CEO and informed him that he had found the recording. He immediately ordered him to keep it safe and close at hand, to call his friend to come at once.Upstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g

Ring, ring! Ring, ring! Ring, ring! Ring, ring!

-Christopher? It’s me Joshua, I need you to come to the hotel immediately. They got the video,” he announced to his friend.

-I’m on my way! -Christopher answered, hanging up the call.

Once he arrived at the CEO’s office, he moved with him to the monitoring area. Upon entering, the system manager inserted the memory into the laptop and started the video playback, he and Christopher and Joshua watched everything that happened.

The video showed that a young man with a suspicious attitude arrived at the hotel and was chatting with someone the whole time. Then, he went out to the parking lot where he began to record or photograph the arrival of Amber and Dylan, who met there, greeted each other and entered the hotel together.

Afterwards, the young man followed them to the event hall. Once there, he removed a tray of food from one of the cubicles and left with it, towards where Amber was with Dylan. Subsequently, the same young man intentionally tripped over her and threw the food on her clothes.

When they went to the elevator, he looked at the marked floor and went up the stairs, and another video shows him running up the stairs. Upon reaching the floor, he again began filming and photographing the two until they entered Dylan’s reserved suite….
