Thirteen

Summer was not far and that would mean the team would need to work really hard if they wanted to qualify. 3 days until we finally head to America so before they get too excited, I was drilling skills into their bodies.

I stood by the pool and watched bryony swim. She was determined I could see that she was putting in extra hours and it was showing.

“you wanted to see me “jenny said coming over to me.

She stood there with her hair tied up in a bun and a green juice in a cup. This is one conversation I wasn’t looking forward to.

“yeah, how’s everyone doing what’s the locker room chat like” I guess you could say jenny was my spy for what I don’t see or hear.

“nervous and excited, we’re all pretty excited to go to America but also kind of nervous hoping we don’t make a fool out of ourselves” she tells me.

I guessed right.

“I’m sure they will appreciate a word from you” she says beginning to get up and leave. I finally turned to her only to find her smirking at me.

“it’s weird but it doesn’t have to be coach. I’m just glad my brother is smiling again” she tells me patting my back before leaving me and getting ready to get into the pool.

I just stared at her shocked. That was a lot easier than I imagined it to be.

Its been 3 weeks since the kiss and we’ve talked about it but nothing too serious, he’s been spending time in my office more than often which is something that everyone has noticed.

Including Michelle.

Mad is an understatement. Theo is too busy giving me dirty looks and messing with me to notice the hard looks that Michelle is giving him.

“oi boys stop messing around “I snapped at Jordan and Scott as they were play fighting in the pool. They quickly started swimming before I forced them to do laps.

God do these guys hate doing laps.

“you say something Tom ” I said glaring at one of the twins as he snickered after calling out something.

He shook his head. Good answer.

“Right guys I know I’ve been drilling you these last few days, but you know its cause I want to help you out. America is less than 24 hours away so I know you will want to start organising your stuff. Its America you’re allowed to be excited.” I raised my eyes to dan when I saw his lip move.

His brother smacked him urging him to shut up.

“you aren’t competing you’re just going to meet with professionals. You will have plenty of time for fun but when you’re with the team I want you to behave alright” I told them. I had planned a few fun activities for bonding time.

I heard the door slightly open and guessed it was jenny coming back in.

The guys smirked over at me. before I could turn to see who, it was, I found the eyes of Theo as he stood there in his glory. Not one word could escape as he grabbed my hips and threw me into the pool.

Everyone burst out laughing as I was catapulted into the pool.

“Do you even know the meaning of fun, Elle” he said smirking at me as I swam up to the surface. I glared at him, but a smile was slowly appearing on my lips.

I made my way up to the side of the pool pushing out of the pool. My t-shirt was sticking to my body like a second skin and that earned a lustful look from Theo as his eyes moved to my slightly see-through shirt and shorts.

“that backfired” bryony commented.

I laughed as I went to grab a towel in my office and pat myself dry. I knew that he followed me inside from the side of the door closing shut.

“you can’t just barge into my training sessions” I said to him. He had done it twice this week the first time he was here to pick up jenny because she had a doctors appointment.

I successfully embarrassed her when I asked her if she was pregnant.

Let’s safely say that I jumped to conclusions on that one.

“you said you finished at 3, its 3 now” he said walking up to me and wrapping his arms around me pulling me into his body. “already wet for me I see” he whispered kissing the side of my neck.

I pushed him roughly away from me “you’re disgusting” I said.

He was right though it was 3 and he had suggested that we go see a movie together.

“alright well now I need to shower and change so were going to have to go in an hour” I told him putting my hair into a ponytail.

It really did backfire.

“didn’t know it was bring your boyfriend to work day” I heard the sarcastic tone of Michelle, she stood outside my door dressed in her usual gym attire.

Is it normal for her clients to see her tits hanging out like that?

“Maybe you just didn’t get the memo” I retorted back seeing as though she woke up wanting to be a bitch.

“He only wants you because you have connections. You just wait until he realises, I’m better in every way” she says proudly like any of that bullshit made sense.

If only she knew.

“when that day comes let me know” I said swinging my bag over my shoulder and barging past her. Why can’t she just accept it.

I honestly thought we could be good friend’s, but she clearly didn’t see eye to eye.

“god she’s a bitch” bryony said standing outside my office with her gym bag.

I didn’t comment because that would be very unprofessional of me and I knew I didn’t need to be in any trouble.

“I’ll pretend I didn’t hear that” I called over to her as we both got into our cars.

I drove back to my place to shower and get ready for my night out with Theo. I made sure to wash my hair getting rid of all the chlorine.

Stepping out I quickly did my makeup and hair before searching through my wardrobe for some sexy outfit I could wear to maybe taunt Theo a little bit.

I found a small box of sexy clothes I had bought online. I grabbed a pair of skinny high waisted black trousers with a lace leotard. I decided to wear my slightly big red leather jacket and high heeled boots.

I can do both. Either dress comfortable and casual or dressy and sexy.

When I was finally ready to go, I walked down my stairs and heard the sound of Theo pulling up in his car.

As soon as I opened the door, I faced a very handsome looking man I was glad that we were both going for a less casual look and we clearly meant business.

“Jesus Elle you are looking amazing” he said taking my hand and forcing me to turn for him. I laughed tilting my head back and giving him a little turn.

I found myself leaning into him, my hand over his chest feeling his hard muscles just underneath.

“oh god help me” Theo said when I removed my jacket and he could clearly see the top I was wearing.

Its his fault for having the heat on full blast, did he expect me to sit here and sweat.

“just drive you weirdo” I said laughing at him. He put the car in reverse and got out of my driveway and drove us into town.

He had a podcast playing in the car, it made the ride more enjoyable as we laughed to some of the things that were said.

“already making plans for our next date I see” Theo said when I had asked him what he was doing this week.

I wanted him to come with us to America, it would be great help if he was there, I don’t know how I will manage 9 students in a brand-new country. It not like it was France or Spain it was the states.

“of course, I’ll come, obviously i’d have to rearrange my time with Dillan but ill be there” he said placing his hand on my knee giving it a comforting rub.

“thank you, that makes me less nervous knowing that you’ll be there” I said to him honestly.

I asked Ryan this morning about it and he said it shouldn’t be a problem.

It wasn’t long until we arrived at the cinema. Theo went over to pay for our tickets whilst I was in charge of getting us snacks. I grabbed two boxes of popcorn with drinks and also a pack of skittles since why not.

I guess today is my cheat day.

Theo joined me not long after as we went up to screen 8 and got into our seats. It didn’t take long before the movie was starting.

Throughout the movie Theo would occasionally comment on the movie by whispering in my ear. He was a tough film critic let’s just say that.

“I’m telling you Elle it’s the best steakhouse in the whole of the city c’mon” Theo said dragging me in the direction of some fancy restaurants.

He asked me what I wanted to eat but I told him countless times I wasn’t bothered until I said steak and he was instantly dragging me over to this place.

I followed behind him as we were led to a table in the back where there was a small booth.

We slid inside and ordered drinks.

“so, what made you come to England, you obviously were pretty good in the us” After we ordered Theo diving into a conversation about America and now about my life in general.

I took a sip of my lemonade. “yeah, I had it pretty good in the states, but I saw that Ryan was looking for a new swimming coach. Here and my step dad was here so I though why not” I told him.

I loved the way Theo would lean forward as he listened to me, it made me feel really important.

“your step dad? What does he do” Theo said with a smile?

Like you don’t know.

“shut up he saved both of our asses” I said referring to the whole accident.

I knew that they had met, and I don’t really want to know what type of conversation they had.

“he did. He’s a lot like you very serious and straight to the point” it was like he was remembering some part of the conversation. I was interested but I didn’t want to push it.

“yeah I definitely got that from him”

Sooner rather than later our food had arrived. The steak was still sizzling on the hot plate as it laid on top of a bed of onions.

He was right it did look amazing.

“well regardless I’m glad you took that job” Theo said as he had his arms around my waist as we sat comfortably.

I nodded “me too”

I smiled when he gently kissed my cheek finally letting me dig into the food, so I can be the judge of this so-called amazing food.
