TAMING THE BEAST IN HIM ( His Red Phoenix )

” While doing some research, I came across a book that revealed the easiest way to kill a Dark Genie. The book talked about a particular Golden Dagger. It says the dagger is powerful enough to paralyze a Genie’s power and eventually kills him or her ” Glinda disclosed and Phoenix and Axion beamed.

” Where can we get that dagger from? ” They both questioned.

” According to what I know, there is only one person who keeps and safeguards the Golden dagger ”

” Who? ” The duo stared at her in anticipation.

” A very ruthless wizard… Alastair ”

According to Glinda, Alastair was Melinoe’s first lover and Gianna’s father who abandoned her after accusing her of cheating. He later came back but it was too late as he watched a group of Dark Genie destroys Melinoe’s kingdom. He cunningly stole the Golden Dagger as a counterattack and has been on the run since then. It was years later that Ashley, Phoenix’s mother, crossed part with him and found out the way to his secret hideout.

” How do we get to Alastair then? ” Axion demanded after listening to the story.

” Alastair will rather die than give anyone that dagger. He sealed the dagger with his blood and made it in such a way that if any Dark Genie tries to take it, the dagger will instigate on them and kill them ”

” So the only way to get that dagger from him…” Glinda turned to look at Phoenix.

” Phoenix will have to go ” Axion scowled at her immediately.

” Why? ” He demanded.

” When Ashley was still alive, Alastair was deeply obsessed with her which was why Ashley used that to make him open up about the Golden Dagger. Till date, his obsession with Ashley hasn’t stopped and he isn’t aware that she is dead ”

” I was thinking since Phoenix looks exactly like her mother, she could meet with him under the pretense of being Ashley ” Glinda explained.

” What do you think Phoenix, can you do it? ”

” Of course, I am ever willing to go…”

” No! ” Axion snapped immediately prompting the two to look at him.

” There is no way I am going to let my Phoenix go meet with some obsessed idiot just to get the dagger… never ” Hearing him call her his Phoenix made butterflies swim around Phoenix’s stomach but she was also surprised by his sudden possessiveness.

” But my dear. It is the only way to get that dagger. You can’t go there yourself, you’re a Dark Genie, remember? ”

” I don’t care! She’s not going anywhere ” Axion rasped angrily. The thought of leaving Phoenix with a dangerous wizard sent shivers down him. And the thought of him touching her seamlessly made him fume. Phoenix is his and his alone!

Glinda looked at Phoenix who turned to Axion.

” I’m willing to go, Axion,” She said but only received a glare from him. He huffed angrily and left.

Glinda made to go after him but Phoenix clutched her hand, stopping her.

” Don’t worry aunt, I will go talk to him. If meeting with Alastair is the only way to protect him, then I’d do it ”

” Thank you so much, my dear ” Glinda smiled proudly at her.

” It’s nothing aunt. You should get going ” Glinda nodded and left.

Phoenix went after Axion and met him in his library, ruffling through the shelves of books angrily. She walked to him and wrapped her hands around his stomach, resting her head on his back. Axion clamped his fist, trying to hold back his anger.

He released her hands and turned to face her. She flickered him a cute pout, batting her eyelashes.

” No Phoenix, it’s not going to work. No matter what you say, I’m not letting you go anywhere ” He hissed.

“Com’on Axion, can you not be unreasonable in this? Meeting with Alastair is the only way to that dagger ” Axion scoffed. So she thinks he’s unreasonable?

” I’m being unreasonable? ” He glared at her, pulling her to himself by her waist.

” How do you expect me to just stay and watch you risk your life to get some stupid dagger and you think I’m being ludicrous? ” His voice was a bit high.

” I’m not risking my life, Axion ” Phoenix groaned lightly. Axion carried her off and placed her on the table, caging her.

” You are about to meet with an obsessed and ruthless wizard. What if he does something to you? ” He argued and seeing the anger in his eyes, Phoenix smirked.

” Are you jealous, Axion? ” She asked and he immediately looked away. Phoenix chuckled lightly. It was obvious he was jealous. It was written boldly on his face and eyes.

” I’m not just gonna stay idle and watch another man touch what’s mine ” His voice was deeply hoarse and possessive and that sent sweet shivers down Phoenix. She likes his possessive side.

” But, it’s the only way ”

” No. There should be another option available ”

” There are no other alternatives… ”

” I should be the one protecting you Phoenix, not the other way round! ” Axion yelled in frustration.

” And if the only way to get that dagger is letting you risk your life then I’d rather die in the hands of Medusa…

” Axion! ” Phoenix snapped him off, placing her index finger on his lips to sush him. What he said made her heart almost pop out in scare.

” How dare you talk about dying?! If something happens to you, do you think I’d be able to bear it? ” She snapped as tears flooded her eyes. Hearing that Axion’s eyes softened. He cupped her face, wiping the strand of tears that fell.

” Then what about me? If something happens to you, how do you think I’d feel? You’re all I have now, Phoenix and I don’t want to lose you. Alastair is heartless, he might try to kill you if he figures out you’re not Ashley ” Staring intently into his eyes, Phoenix could see the sincere fear in them.

” Then I promise, I’d be careful ” She pouted and Axion rolled his eyes. Damn it! Why is she so stubborn?

” Phoenix…” He grunted at her adamance.

” Please Axion, let me do it for you ”

” Do you even care about yourself? ” He groaned in frustration.

” If protecting you means putting my life at risk then it’s nothing because I love you ”

Axion stared at her with parted lips. He was stunned. How can she even love him this much? What’s so special about him that made her love him?

” Can you stop loving me then? ” He didn’t realize when that left his lips. Phoenix chuckled at his silly question. Wrapping her hands around his neck, she nudge him closer and brushed his lips lightly.

” Fine ” He gave in and Phoenix beamed.

” But on one condition ”

” You have to promise to be extra careful. I don’t trust that wizard. Don’t let him touch you in any way and if tries doing anything stupid, don’t hesitate to show him his place ” He listed and Phoenix gaped at him in amusement. He sounded just like a father forewarning and cautioning his daughter.

” That’s actually three conditions, Axion ” Phoenix couldn’t hold back her laughter anymore.

” I’m not done yet ” Axion snarled making her laugh even more.

” Make sure to keep in touch with me. If you ever need me, don’t hesitate to call my name, ok? ”

” Yes, Master ” Phoenix jested.

” Promise? ”

” Promise ” She nodded firmly.

” Don’t forget, ok? ”

” Yes, Daddy ” She pouted and hearing that Axion’s heart skipped.

” What did you just call me? ” He glared at her and she smirked, reaching out to his ear.

” Daddy ” She whispered seductively. His body reacted greatly to the feeling of that word in his ear making him groan huskily. Why does every little thing she does turn him on?

He held her neck and nudged her face close, claiming her lips in a hungry and demanding kiss.

Corbin can be seen standing by his bathroom mirror. He just finished bathing and had a towel tied around his waist. He was no longer staying in the dungeon since Medusa freed him.

But then, he was thinking about Phoenix. He wasn’t just thinking about her but was daydreaming about f**king her. The image of her naked was playing in his mind and that thought alone made him hard and one could see the huge bulge down there.

He grabbed his manhood, rubbing it while groaning and moaning in pleasure, imagining Phoenix doing that.

Damn it! How can a woman he just met beget this much effect on him? He needs to have her… badly or else he might lose his mind fantasizing about her.

” Sorry Axion but I think I will have to take your mate from you too. Besides, doing that is the easiest way to cause you intense misery ” He grinned evilly.

SOMEWHERE UNKNOWN

A man can be seen standing before a table in an abandoned dirty clan. He was dressed in a long, flowing blue robe that reached down to his feet with an extra cafe that fitted the black boots on his legs. He had a loose belt around his waist and the robe had a cup that covered his hair.

There were different bookshelves and a really big mirror behind him. And on the tables were tubes and beakers of magic potions. His face couldn’t be seen but in his right hand was a glowing wand and he was reading out some magical words from the book in his left hand.

But then, he was interrupted when an ash-colored owl flew to him and perched on his shoulder. In-between the beak of the owl was a letter. The man dropped his wand and book, collecting the letter from the owl. He opened it and it reads;

” My dear old friend and lover, Alastair. It is with great happiness that I write this letter to you. I had desired to meet and see you again and this letter is to inform you about my intention to visit. I hope we would see each other sooner enough ”
