TAMING THE BEAST IN HIM ( His Red Phoenix )

” Hello… little brother ” These words were like waves of shock that struck Axion’s brain and his jaw almost lowered to the ground.

Little brother? How? Who is this man standing before him and why do they look exactly alike?

” So nice to finally meet you after 27 years of waiting ” Corbin’s grin was an evil one that had so many emotions lurking behind it.

” By the way… I’m Corbin and I’m back ” He reached out his hand for a shake but Axion only gaped at him like he was so sort of a mad man. Corbin frowned in disapproval but then, he scoffed.

” Oh, I forgot. You don’t even remember me… do you? ” One could see and feel the pain and disappointment behind his scoff as he snarled at Axion with all the hatred he has for him evident in his dangerous gray eyes.

Ever since he was born, Medusa had always tormented and inflicted pain on him in that dungeon whilst instigating him against Axion. And now all he yearns for is to rip Axion apart right away but… not so fast. First of all, he has to make sure he makes Axion go through all the suffering he endured at the hands of Medusa for 27 years.

” Who the fuck are you? ” Axion finally broke the silence and heated glare between them. Corbin let out a wry laugh.

” You’re so good at pretending Axion but… I’m not surprised at all ” He shrugged.

” What? ” Axiom grimaced in confusion.

Phoenix who was still waiting in the car for Axion was startled to hear him talking to someone.

Who is he talking to?

” Axion ” She called, carefully stepping out of the car. The instance she did, her eyes landed straight on Corbin and they increased in size.

Wait, hold one. What the heck is going on here? How are there two Axions existing right before her eyes?

Her brain went into great confusion as she glanced at the two men with parted lips. Her eyes locked with that of Corbin and she noticed something odd about him. She saw a spark in his eyes, the same spark she saw in Medusa’s eyes when she attacked her and that made her uneasy.

This man is certainly of no good, she is sure of that. But who is he?

On the other hand, the moment Corbin saw Phoenix, his pupil dilated greatly and his heart leaped. It started throbbing fast as he surveyed her from head to toe.

” Good gracious, who is this damsel before me?! ” His dark inner self exclaimed in approval. Though he had been in that dungeon for relatively all his life, Medusa didn’t fail to entertain him with different ladies whom he fuck mercilessly and slew right there in the dungeon.

But shit! He hasn’t seen a woman as beautiful, pure, and innocent in the eye as Phoenix, and damn it, he wants her. He could feel his hardness bulge in his pants, using his eyes to already strip Phoenix naked.

Axion on seeing how Corbin was scanning Phoenix, his eyes filled with lust as he bit on his lower lip became jealous and immediately held Phoenix’s waist, tugging her to himself whilst sending daggers at Corbin who couldn’t help but snort.

” Oh, she must be his girlfriend, huh? Well, that won’t stop me from having a taste of her ” He thought.

” Axion, who is this? ” Phoenix finally ask, her stomach turning due to how uneasy she was feeling.

” I don’t know but we need to get out of here ” Axion replied.

” Oh, did I forget to introduce myself? ” Corbin inches closer.

” I’m Corbin, and I’m here to take back all that is rightfully mine ” Phoenix caught a glimpse of Corbin’s eyes turning purple before swiftly going back to normal and that made her flinch a bit.

It was then that her doubts were clarified. The man standing before her was a Dark Genie and with the way he was glaring at Axion, it’s obvious he wants him dead.

Using his powers, Axion fixed the tires of the car and Corbin only watched with a grin as he and Phoenix entered inside. He wasn’t planning on going after them. It wasn’t time to attack yet. He had everything already plotted out for 27 years and when the right time arrives, he is going to strike.

Axion hit the road at full speed. He couldn’t stop thinking of Corbin calling him his little brother. Why will a stranger appear out of God knows where claiming to be his brother? What relation does both of them share that made them look like twins?

There is only one person who is capable of clarifying his confusion and he is heading to that person… now.

The car came to a halt right in front of Axion’s family house and without waiting for Phoenix, he came out and scurried inside. He met Gianna one the way who flashed him a smile that he ignored heading upstairs.

” Huh, what’s wrong with him? ” Glinda frowned deeply.

Axion stopped getting to Kelsey’s room and barged in without knocking. Kelsey who was standing before her dressing mirror, combing her hair, smirked sensing Axion behind her. She has been waiting for him and it was ultimately time to begin her acting. Wiping the smirk off, she turned, keeping a sad expression.

” Axion, my dear ” She pretentiously beam and rushed to him. She widened her arms to embrace him but Axion signaled her to stop right there. Her beam whipped off immediately.

” Who is Corbin? ” Axion tossed the question right to her instantly and she gasped, faking dismay.

” My dear, what… are… you… talking about? ” She stuttered, avoiding Axion’s gaze. She was really good at her acting and Axion was already falling to it. He ended up believing she was hiding something.

” Who is Corbin, mom and why is he calling me his little brother? Why do I look exactly like him and what relation do we share? ” He demanded and Kelsey stared down in shame. She started whimpering and that annoyed Axion.

” Answer my question mom, who is Corbin?! ” He roared.

” He is your twin brother Axion! ” Kelley finally spilled out the truth and Axion went stiff.

” Twin brother? ” He mumbled and Kelsey broke down in tears.

” Why… why didn’t you tell me about it, mom? ” Tears wailed up Axion’s eyes but he fought them back immediately.

” I’m sorry Axion. I didn’t mean to hide it from you ” Kelsey wept and what she said made Axion laugh hysterically. He was hurt and shocked but not surprised at all. I mean, Kelsey hid a more crucial truth from him so… this is definitely nothing compared to it.

” Does aunt know about it? ” He asked and Kelsey nodded negatively. He let out a scoff of disbelief staring at the woman before him who called herself his mother but does nothing but lie to him continually. He didn’t know how to react. Not wanting to waste another minute with her, he just left, heading back downstairs.

” Axion ” Kelsey called going after him. She caught up with him and held his hand.

” Please let me explain ” She pleaded and Axion stopped, turning to face her. He snorted loudly, folding his arms.

” Sure, start explaining, ” He said and Kelsey was more than shocked at his comeback. Why isn’t he bursting out in rage like she planned him to?

” I… was just scared Axion. When I gave birth to the two of you and found out about your father’s deal with the devil, I didn’t want to lose both of you, so I hid Corbin from everyone so the King of all Dark Genie won’t find him…

” But you willingly gave me off as the sacrificial goat. Wow, mom… wow ” Axion cut her off giving her some applause. Deep down he was burning in anger and hurting badly but what’s the point of showing it? It still won’t change the fact that Kelsey lied to him and will keep lying to him.

” Good job on that ” He mumbled and left not giving her the chance to say anything further. He walked past Phoenix and Glinda without sparing them a glance, heading to the car, and driving off.

Phoenix came back home and after searching for Axion, she finally found him in the garden, seated on the bench and staring at nothing. She let out a sad sigh, sitting beside him.

” Axion ” She called and he turned, looking at her. Phoenix could see the brim of tears he was trying to fight back and that made her veer closer to him, placing her hand on his which was on the bench, and squeezing it reassuringly.

Axion stared into her comforting lovely eyes and he finally allowed the tears to fall. He pulled her into a tight hug and Phoenix hugged back. Sniffing in Phoenix’s scent was all Axion needed to cool his brain and he relaxed.

Phoenix pulled out of the hug, cupping his face whilst using her thumb to brush it lightly.

” There is something else you need to know about your mother, Axion,” She said and that made him frown deeply. With the way she said it, Axion knew it wasn’t good news. What else could his mother be hiding from him?

” I’m sorry for not telling you about it. I was just scared of how you’d react but since you already found out about your twin, it’s of no use hiding it from you ”

Earlier after Axion left, Phoenix confronted Medusa who laughed and told her everything about Corbin. That made both her and Glinda realize there is no need to keep Axion in the dark because Medusa is never going to change.

” What is it Phoenix? ” Axion said and that was all Phoenix needed to speak up.

” Kelsey isn’t who she pretends to be ”

” What do you mean? ”

” Your mother is a Dark Genie, Axion. She has been working for the King of all Dark Genie and wants to kill you ” Phoenix finally dropped the bomb and Axion sprang up, sending her a hard glare.

” What? ” It came out faintly and Phoenix too stood up.

” What nonsense are you talking about Phoenix? Why will my mother want to kill me? ”

” Because she wants to be the queen and next ruler of the Dark Genies. But you were chosen to take over that position and now she thinks you’re a hindrance to her success. Believe me Axion, she told me everything herself ”

Axion nodded negatively.

No, it’s not possible. His mother loves him with everything in her and even though she has lied to him time and again, it doesn’t mean she wants to kill him.

” No, Phoenix. There must be a misunderstanding here ”

” There is no misinterpretation here Axion. It was her that attacked me, she killed Gianna right in my face. Her real identity is Medusa and not Kelsey ”

Phoenix took out her phone and played a voice recording on it. It was the recording of the confrontation between her and Medusa earlier. Unknown to Medusa she was recording everything she said, including how she exposed herself.

The shock that hit Axion listening to his mother revealing how she wants him dead was indescribable. Pain, anger, furry, and every type of mixed emotion went down him. He tightened his fist as hot tears ran down his face.

His eyes grew dark and turned purple and the thick black veins started coming out of his body. He wasn’t just angry… he was enraged.

” How dare she?! She used me, she lied to me!! ” He bellowed and cold chills went down Phoenix as the ground vibrated at Axion’s uproar. She stepped back a bit, gulping down hard.

” I am going to make her pay, I’m going to tear her apart!! ” Phoenix immediately hugged him from the back, stopping him on his track.

” No, Axion, please ” She pleaded. She turned him to face her, cupping his face.

” Please don’t go anywhere ” She nodded in disapproval as tears flooded her eyes. Seeing her tears was enough to make Axion calm down and his eyes went back to normal.

” Why? Why are you stopping me from ending that traitor?! ” He demanded instead.

” Because that’s what she wants. Medusa wants you to come after her so she and Corbin will use that opportunity to kill you. I can’t let that happen ”

” Then what do you want me to do? ” Axion mumbled already tired. He was tired of the fact that the one person he loved with everything in him was the same person who ruined his life. His mother. Why do the people he cherishes always stab him in the back? What sins has he committed to deserve all this?

” We can strike without having to confront them ” A voice answered and they both turned only to see Glinda who walked up to them.

” Aunt, you knew? ”

” Yes. I was the one who told Phoenix not to tell you yet ” Axiom ruffled his hair in frustration.

” How could she do this to me? ” He couldn’t hold back his tears.

” I know this is hard Axion, but it is the truth. So instead of wasting your tears on her… we need to bring her down ”

Glinda was right. He shouldn’t shed tears for someone like her. She deserves not even a drop of it. Sniffing as Phoenix cleaned his tears, he turned to Glinda.

” Tell me what to do aunt. I am ever ready to make that woman pay…
