” Well, obviously, the young man agreed due to his greed without even thinking about the consequences of striking such a deadly deal with the devil ”

Axion was already more than confused at this point.

” Why are telling me this story? ” He questioned.

” Exactly the query I was expecting to hear from you ” Cruella smirked.

” Now down to the explanation part. Oh my, I so much love this part ” She squeaked and stood up, walking to Axion.

” The young man in my story is none other than your father, founder, and owner of SKYHIGH… Sebastian Rivera ” Axion gave her a deadly glare immediately.

” And the woman is your mother, Kelsey Rivera. The firstborn child meant to be sacrificed here is none other than you, Axion… Axion Rivera ” Cruella finally dropped the bomb. The first thing that struck Axion was an electric shock, an electric shock of disbelief.

” What the fuck are you blabbering? Are you out of your fucking mind?! ” He howled at her.

” I’m not out of my mind, Axion. I’m spilling the freaky truth! ” Gianna snapped.

” You are the heir and next King of all Dark Genie. You are a Dark Genie, Axion… the devil’s son! ” The next thing that left Axion’s lips was a snort, a loud snort of incredulity.

” You’re kidding me, aren’t you? You just made up this whole shit just so you can turn me against my own family and you think I’m too naive to fall for that? Unbelievable ” He puffed and immediately grabbed Cruella’s arm, dragging her closer while glaring dangerously at her. Cruella gulped down hard as her knees became weak but she tried holding them. If there’s someone who she is terrified of after the King of all Dark Genie, then it is Axion because he is almost as powerful and deadly as him.

” Listen to me. If you don’t have anything reasonable enough to waste my time… then fuck out of here before I lose my cool on you ” Axion bellowed at her.

” Denial, that is the first reaction I expected you’d give. But it still won’t change the truth, Axion ” Cruella managed to reply.

” But I’m not through yet, there is more where that came from ” Axion let go of her arm with parted lips.

” Your father sacrificed you to my master which means you’re his possession, you’re his son and you belong to him. When you turned ten, it was finally time for your father to hand you over. But then, your mother, Kelsey, found out about the deal and ran away with you that night…

” The King of all Dark Genie became engaged and killed Sebastian instantly. He then placed a curse on you and Kelsey. You were cursed to turn into a beast every night of the full moon because it was on that night, that Kelsey committed that horrible mistake of taking you away…

” Your childhood memories were erased which is why all you can remember, even up till now, was when you first turned into a beast when you were fucking ten. Kelsey was struck with a sickness that landed her in a coma for 15 miserable years. Now tell me Axion, am I lying? Where do you think your cruelty, arrogance, and hot-temper came from? ”

By the time Cruella was done, the shock in Axion ran up to his brain and he froze on the spot. Everything was now starting to make sense to him. Realization began drawing to him.

So his father, the man he loved even though he never knew him, handed him over to the Devil even before he was yet to be born. He was cursed because of his father. He lived his whole life finding a cure for himself… for something that was in no way his fault, something that was caused by the greediness of his father. And his mother, aunt Glinda, and Lola kept it all from him for 27 years?

A sharp pain, sharper than anything I can think of, pierced straight and stabbed his heart. The shock he was feeling vanished instantly. Anger, hate, rage, and furry began circulating his whole body. He clenched his fist and his jaw tightened as he breathed out heavily, his breath extremely hot.

Cruella’s eyes protruded in horror when she saw a thick, black, and inked veins run through Axion’s body. She stepped away from him immediately, her legs shaking uncontrollably.

” Oh, heavens. What had she done? ” She swallowed nothing.

Axion’s anger has reached its peak and he was boiling in fury. The anger in him was gradually awakening the real monster inside him. No, not the beast in him… but a Dark Genie… the Devil’s bloodline inside him.

” I want to tell him the truth but I’m just scared of what his reaction will be. What if he never forgives us? ” Glinda said and she was talking to Phoenix who let out a slight groan.

” But he has the right to know who he truly is, aunt. He needs to hear it from us before an enemy tells him about it. I’m having a bad feeling Gianna might try to tell him. He will hate us, aunt, particularly you and ma’am Kelsey ” Phoenix tried reasoning with her. Glinda couldn’t deny she was right.

” I need to tell him, Phoenix, but how? ” She wondered.

” He doesn’t want to listen to me but he will surely listen to you. You should be the one to tell him ” Phoenix replied.

” No one is saying anything to anyone, Phoenix ” A voice came up and they both turned. There at the end of the stairs was Kelsey who scowled at Phoenix as she walked up to them.

” And who the heck are you to interfere in my family matters? ” She demanded but Phoenix didn’t seem to be intimidated by her glare.

” I’m sorry if you think I’m intervening, ma’am but Axion truly needs the truth from us before an outsider does the job for us ” She uttered.

” And who are you to tell me what to do with my son, huh? ”

” We’ve been hiding the truth from him for a long time and my family is functioning just fine. So keep what you think to yourself and know your boundary! ”

” For how long are you going to keep hiding it from him? ” Phoenix threw the question at her with folded arms.

” Forever? Maybe you’ve forgotten that lies won’t keep being lies. One day the truth will prevail. You just can’t keep lying, ma’am ”

” Axion is my son and only I have the right to decide to tell him or not! ”

” Kelsey calm down, please. I think we should listen to Phoenix. Axion deserves the truth ” Glinda tried making Kelsey understand.

” Never! I will never let another mistake ruin my family!…

” So it is true? ” A hoarse and angry voice echoed prompting the three to turn, only to see Axion standing by the door, his eyes bloodshot and dark purple in anger. The black, thick veins were now all over his face, and seeing that made the three women jolt up in fear.

” Axion ” Phoenix murmured and was about to go to him but Glinda held her hand and pulled her back.

” No Phoenix. I think he knows ” She said and Phoenix’s eyes widened.

Axion slowly walked up to them, his breath heavy and hot with his fist still clenched.

” Axion, my dear. What happened to you? ” Kelsey chuckled nervously but flinched when Axion shot her a deadly glare.

” You…all…lied to me. You…hid such a crucial…matter from me…for…27 fucking…years! ” Axion roared and Kelsey gasped in shock.

” What crucial matter are you talking about, my dear? ” She tried playing dumb and that only made Axion’s anger triple.

” And you are still lying, mom! ” He hollered making Kelsey flinch. Phoenix held Glinda’s hands which were shaking in fear, squeezing them gently.

” My whole life, you’ve done nothing but lie to me, mom, both you and aunt Glinda. All my life I lived, hating myself because of the lie you told me. You told me I was cursed because I refused to help an old lady who begged for my help when I was little. You told me I insulted the lady, you told me I laughed at her and mocked her. You told me I was cursed because I was a heartless, cruel, and insensitive little child and I lived my whole life believing that! ”

Tears already flooded Kelsey and Glinda’s eyes as they both looked down in shame. Phoenix on the other hand could feel the pain in Axion’s eyes.

” You and aunt Glinda also told me that my father was killed by a stripper. You made me believe a stripper ruined our family, you made me believe a stripper took him away from us. And I… lived my whole life with a deep-rooted hatred for them…” Axion’s eyes clouded in tears as the pain in his heart worsened. He was deeply hurt.

” Because of you, I…I hated my Phoenix and rejected her the first time I found out she was a stripper. I kept on insulting, hurting, and belittling her every fucking day for something she didn’t even have a hand in. And despite everything she did, despite how far she went to protect me, I still hated her and it’s all because of the hate you cultivated inside me! ”

Phoenix couldn’t hold back her tears anymore and she let them fall freely. So Axion hated her because of this?

” Axion…please…let me explain ” Kelsey who was already shedding tears pleaded.

” I loved that man. I was ever ready to do anything for him even though I never got to know him. The same man that ruined my life. The same man who gave me off willingly, without any hesitation to the devil. And you never told me about it and never intended to even up till now. I had to find out from her…an enemy. An enemy who told me the truth that the people I call my loved ones hid from me! ”

” Axion please forgive me, my dear. I was just scared. I was scared you will hate me and your father if I had told you about it. I just wanted to keep you safe ” Kelsey mumbled, holding Axion’s hand who immediately shoved her off.

” Don’t you dare touch me ” He spat with so much hate in his eyes.

” That man should be who I hate not Phoenix! ”

” He ruined my life. I’ve lived in pain and it’s all because of my father ” He mumbled as a strand of tears rolled down his face.

” I hate him now.. more than anything. He can never be my father and I can never be the son of the Devil! I am not a Dark Genie! ” He bellowed.

” And I hate you too now Mom, especially you, aunt Glinda ” He spat pointing at Glinda who was crying uncontrollably, her head bowed in shame as she couldn’t even look at Axion in the eye. She deserves his hate, all of it.

” Axion, please don’t say that. I love you so much, my dear. Please forgive me ” Kelsey pleaded, trying to hug him but Axion pushed her away forcefully and if not that Phoenix caught her, Kelsey would have banged her head on the tiled floor.

Glaring at the Kelsey and Glinda with hatred and pain in his purple eyes,

” I will never forgive you two for this…never! ” He spat and stormed out of the house.

” Axion…please ” Kelsey made to go after him but slipped, falling to the ground and letting out a loud whimper, her tears rolling down, uncontrolled.

” Ma’am ” Phoenix rushed to her and helped her stand up.

” Are you ok? ” She asked in worry but to her surprise, Kelsey pushed her off angrily.

” This is all your fault, you shameless slut! ” She yelled at Phoenix whose lips parted in shock.

” Ever since you came into my son’s life, nothing has gone right. Your nothing but a curse, a misfortune to him and all of us! ” Phoenix let out a scoff of disbelief.

” I’m sorry if you think this is my fault but the fault is actually yours. If only you didn’t hide the truth from him, he wouldn’t be this hurt and broken now. So instead of you to try shifting the blame on someone else, what should matter to you now is Axion. He might end up doing something stupid to himself ”

” Excuse me ” She added and left, going after Axion.

” Did you see that, Glinda? Is she the so-called Red Phoenix, huh? ”

” Enough, Kelsey! ” Glinda snapped her off, looking up with her tears still flowing. Kelsey was shocked.

“This is your one problem, Kelsey. Even after everything, you still don’t want to accept our mistake. We are the ones who lied to him, not Phoenix, and if he hates us now then we deserve it. We should be the people he despises not Phoenix because she has nothing to do with this! ”

” She was only looking out for what’s best for him and not being selfish like us. And instead of you worrying about Axion, all that matters to you is yourself!. You are definitely no different from my brother. The both of you are selfish! ”

With that Glinda stormed off upstairs, leaving Kelsey, who broke down in uncontrollable tears…
