TAMING THE BEAST IN HIM ( His Red Phoenix )

Axion froze on the spot immediately and his brain went dead for a moment. His heart skipped at the feeling of Phoenix’s cold and wet bare body pressed against his back and he felt a weird sweet feeling in his stomach.

” She was here, Axion, I saw her. She almost dragged me away ” Phoenix’s cry snapped him out.

” Oh God, what am I going to do? ” He bit on his lower lip nervously.

” Erm… Phoenix… can you cover yourself with a towel? ” He said.

” No, I’m scared, I don’t want you to leave, Axion ” Phoenix replied. Not knowing what to do, Axion turned to face her, his eyes closed. Phoenix was still clinging on to him and that got his heart beating wildly.

” Erm… Phoenix, let me get a towel to wrap you up so you won’t get a cold, ok? ” He said, and Phoenix nodded, pulling out of the hug. Axion’s stiffened body relaxed.

With his eyes closed, he started looking for the towel hanger and, luckily, he was able to find it even with his eyes closed. He grabbed the towel and reached it out to Phoenix.

” Here, cover yourself up ” He offered. Phoenix took the towel and wrapped it around her chest.

” Have you done that? ” Axion asked just to be sure.

” Yes ”

Letting out a heave, he slowly opened his eyes and his mind relaxed seeing she was covered.

” That was close ” He mumbled.

” Are you ok now? ” Phoenix nodded a yes firmly.

” Can you bath on your own now? ”

” No ” Phoenix nodded negatively, hugging his arm.

” Please don’t leave, just stay here. I promise I’ll make it fast ” Not knowing what to do, Axion let out a groan of frustration.

” Ok ” He gave in and Phoenix beamed.

” I’ll make it quick,” She said and took off the towel. Axion’s eyes widened in shock as her full naked body was displayed before him.

” Holy shit ” He cussed and turned his back on her, his eyes closed. He headed to the door and stood there, backing her with his eyes closed. His heart was beating wildly like it was going to burst out soon.

Throughout the bath, the image of Phoenix naked kept entering Axion’s mind and he tried shrugging the thought off, but it wouldn’t just stop popping up.

” How the fuck am I going to forget about it? ” He groaned.

Soon, Phoenix was done and they both stepped out of the bathroom. Axion made sure to look away as Phoenix dressed up.

Phoenix joined him in the bed, hugging him as she laid down on his chest. Axion wanted to push her away, but remembering she wasn’t in her right senses, he decided to hold it back.

” It’s just for a few days, Axion, you can handle her “These were the words he used to console himself.

” I just hope I’ll stop thinking about that. ”

Kelsey can be seen seated up on the bed with Tamara beside her. She was eating while Tamara watched her with anticipation.

” I’m done ” Kelsey handed the tray to Tamara, who collected it with all happiness.

” You did it, Mom. I told you you’d be able to feed yourself. The medicine aunt Glinda gave you is working ” She beamed.

” Yes my dear, you were right ” Kelsey chuckled lightly.

” I can’t wait for you to be able to walk again Mom. I’ve missed you taking me to the park to play ” Tamara muttered sadly.

” I can’t wait either, my dear. I’ve missed 15 years of your life and all I want to do is make it up as quickly as I can ” Kelsey replied as tears flooded her eyes.

” Come on Mom, don’t cry. I believe you’ll get better soon. Aunt Glinda will make sure of that ” Tamara assured, and hugged Kelsey, who hugged her back.

Just then, the door opened and a maid walked up to them.

” Ma’am, someone is here to see you ” She announced, and the two pulled out of the hug.

” Who? ”

” She said her name was Gianna, ma’am ” The maid answered and Kelsey’s face beamed.

” Of course. Let her in immediately ” She commanded.

” I’ll leave too, Mom. I want to finish my school project ” Tamara said, getting up.

” Sure Tamara ”

” Call me if you need anything ” She added and left too.

The door of the room opened as Tamara left, revealing a beautiful lady. Her dress was neat and cooperative like she worked in her own company.

” Gianna ” Kelsey exclaimed happily.

” Aunt ” The lady, Gianna, walked over to the bed and hugged Kelsey, who hugged her back.

” You recognized me, aunt ” Gianna chuckled happily, pulling out from the hug. Kelsey cupped her face, smiling broadly at her.

” Of course I do. Tamara showed me your picture. You’ve grown so much, Gianna. The last time I saw you was when you were 8. Now, look how beautiful and elegant you’ve become ” Kelsey expressed.

” That’s all thanks to Axion, aunt. He made sure to take very good care of me. Can you believe… he made me his business partner ” Gianna chuckled.

” Really? ” She nodded firmly.

” I’ve missed you so much, aunt. I never knew you were awake. Tamara was the one who informed me yesterday and I came rushing over today. Maybe Axion was so busy with other things that he forgot to tell me. ”

” So tell me, how is your relationship with Axion now? Has he confessed? ” Kelsey teased and Gianna looked down shyly.

” Not yet aunt. We are just still friends ” She answered and Kelsey’s face dropped in disappointment.

” Just friends? Really? For 15 years now, why? ” She demanded.

” Well, that’s because he was so busy getting a cure for you that he didn’t have time for any relationship. ”

” Even so? That’s not an excuse, Gianna. You two have been together for 15 years now. At least, he should have confessed and proposed by now ” Kelsey replied.

” I just don’t want to rush him, aunt. Besides, I’m ready to wait till he is ready. That’s how much I love him ” Gianna replied.

” No Gianna, you’ve waited enough. 15 years isn’t 15 days. I have to do something ” Kelsey insisted.

” First thing tomorrow morning. You are coming with me to his house. I want to see him and ask him how he could have kept you waiting for so long. ”

” I don’t think that’s a good idea, aunt. You are still recovering, that will be stressing yourself ”

” No, I am visiting him tomorrow and you are coming with me. That’s final ”

THE NEXT MORNING

Phoenix was the first to wake up with a satisfied smile on her lips. She had never slept so peacefully as she did last night. Looking up at Axion, who was still sleeping made the smile on her lips broader.

” My boyfriend is so sweet ” She smiled to herself.

She started studying every inch of his face and doing that, a realization drawn to her… Axion was handsome. She isn’t in her right sense. Maybe that’s why she suddenly finds him handsome.

Her eyes drifted to his slightly plump lips and her heart skipped. A weird urge to taste those lips came and, without hesitation, she started bringing her face closer. Her lips were about to meet his when Axion snapped his eyes open and they widened a bit on seeing how close Phoenix’s face was to his.

He almost pushed her away if not, that he remembered, and withdrew his hands.

” What are you doing? ” He asked instead. Phoenix’s cheeks flushed immediately and she looked down shyly.

” I… want… to… kiss… you ” She muttered, but Axion heard it and his eyes almost popped out of their sockets.

” What?! ” He exclaimed and sat up.

” I want to kiss you ” Phoenix repeatedly, staring at his lips dreamily.

” Are you nuts?! ” Axion snapped, startling Phoenix, who started shaking in fear.

” I’m… sorry. I… didn’t… mean… to make you angry ” She muttered and started crying.

” Oh goodness, what is this? ” Axion groaned.

” I’m sorry ”

Exhaling,

” Shush, I’m not angry at you Phoenix,” Axion said, and Phoenix looked at him with teary cute eyes.

” Really? ” She asked, pouting sadly.

” Yes,” Axion forced a smile on his lips. Phoenix sniffed back her tears.

” Can I kiss you then? ” She asked. Axion felt like knocking her whole teeth out but swallowed back the thoughts.

” Erm… I think… that… ” He stammered, trying to come up with an excuse to give.

But to his greatest shock, Phoenix shut him up by claiming his lips immediately in a passionate kiss. Once again, Axion’s brain went dead and his body stiffened in great shock.
