Aziz watched as her body shuddered in his arm and sweat covered her, he pulled her to his chest to stop her from struggling with him.

“When will mom come back to the house?” Lexi scrunched up her brows at him before looking down again.

“They should be here in the afternoon, I told them none of us is around,” his hand stopped its action when she lifted herself off his chest.

She stared at him for so long, that pain creased her features and he could tell she wanted to say something or needed something from him but was too afraid to ask. It was funny how things changed so fast within 3 days.

How they turned from being loving and crazy about each other to being strangers again. He couldn’t even kiss her lip in those three days his life had turned upside-down.

“Lexi,” he called her attention back to his face. “Do you need something?”

She opened her mouth but shook her head again as if she were trying to clear off the thought from her head.

“It’s nothing,” she dismissed.

Aziz grabbed her wrist before she could get down from the bed and pulled her to himself. “I can’t do this anymore, Lexi,” he whispered. “Let’s pretend nothing happened and you didn’t confess your undying love for me. I can’t lose you, babe… I really can’t.”

Lexi stared at him, tears welling in her eyes.

“I will go crazy if I lose you,” he tilted her head up and kissed her lip. “Please babe.”

“I really want things to go back to the way they were before all this started, but I can’t pretend I don’t have any feelings for you nor can I pretend you didn’t say it in your words, that you loved Lena once.”

“Please, Lexi… Let’s try to forget about that and move on with our life…”

“Our life? Whether you feel attracted to me because you lusted over my body or because you love me, all that stops the moment she barged into my office and our home to claim you as her man.

“I can try to pretend but I would be fooling myself, knowing I am in love with a man that would never reciprocate my feelings.”

“I am so sorry this had to happen, I would have prevented it if I knew something like this could break us apart, but–”

“Remember what you said from the start, if something like this happened, I get to choose between two options,” she paused to access his expression.

“Since I can’t pretend that nothing happened at all, then this is the end of whatever we have… This is the end of the bond between us.”

Aziz’s heart dropped at her declaration, he didn’t want things to end between them like this and not so soon, but he knew he would only be deceiving himself.

“I just need one thing from you before we part ways,” she leaned forward and whispered into his ear.

Aziz closed his eyes… This is it, there is no turning back once he accepts her request. “Are you sure you want to give all this up?” He gestured between them and she bobbed her head at once.

She didn’t even think about it for a minute, his heart ached at what he was about to lose. “Fine… then this is really the end,” he leaned forward and captured her mouth in a hot kiss.

Lexi leaned into him and kissed him back just as hard, her hand entwined behind his head as she ran her hand through his silky hair. Tears slid down her cheek and she tasted the saltiness.

Slowly, Aziz itched away her clothing and discarded them across the room as she helped him out of his clothes. No foreplay was needed between them since they were both saying their goodbyes.

Aziz thrust into her and took his time savouring her body, while she moan out his name. He closed his eyes when she pulled him closer and kissed his lip. Her moans rented the air, she cry out his name with each thrust and clung to him.

2 PM THE NEXT DAY.

Lexi woke to the sunlight streaking into her room and she went to move her hand over her face to shield it from the sunlight, when she noticed she was sandwiched between two bodies.

She turn around to see her mother on the left side of the bed and Kira on the right side of her. Being confused would be an understatement for what she is feeling right now.

The two women stirred from their sleep and sat up on the bed to look at her, the look of pain and pity in the depth of their eyes was enough to hint to Lexi that something is wrong.

“Aziz left for England this morning, he booked a flight late last night,” Kira explained before she could ask.

Her body suddenly went numb and whatever they are saying droned past her ears, she didn’t register her name being called by the worried women beside her.

He left!? Aziz really left her after everything they shared together. Had she mistaken the look in his eyes and thought he loved her but just needed a push to realize it?

It was why she took the decision to end their relationship because she thought he loves her and her decision would help him realize it.

Is everything really an act? did she imagine the look in his eyes then?

Unconsciously, she got out of bed and headed for the bathroom, Lexi had barely taken two steps away from the bed when she slump to the ground with Kira and Daphne rushing toward her.
