Penny regained her senses. She wanted to speak up but was interrupted by Ava.

"Is that the right attitude to invite Mrs. Cross to participate in the investigation? You're clearly treating her like a criminal. How dare you even mention the handcuffs? Come on, I'd love to see who is so brazen to arrest Mrs. Cross."

Enrique was Erwin's most capable subordinate and most trusted righthand man.

He was infamous for his ruthlessness, a person who never made any allowances for anyone for any matter. Apparently, he had lived a poor life after graduating from university. It was his wife who had to take up two jobs to be the breadwinner and support him on his arduous journey of becoming a civil servant.

Fortunately, he got the position he wanted. He served under the leadership of a good superior, and his rank skyrocketed since.

At his command, over ten men immediately pounced on Ava and Penny.

Ava was enraged by their actions.

In return, she raised her leg, and with a thrust, her foot dug into one of the men's chests.
