Richest Mogul 1118

The next day, Skylar and Paul were preparing to return to Jipsburg City. Lizzie would also be heading back in a few days, and she had made plans with Skylar to have dinner together once she returned.

Herman, who had already freed himself from his troubles, felt refreshed after a night’s rest. He accompanied Lizzie to the airport to see Skylar and Paul off.

Carl and Winona even prepared a large bag of local specialties for Skylar.

When the plane landed, Skylar was surprised to see Joe waiting to pick her up. Instinctively, she glanced around, feeling a wave of caution wash over her.

Noticing her reaction, Joe chuckled and said, “They wouldn’t dare send anyone to follow me now.”

“That’s a relief,” Skylar sighed.

There had been no updates on Kevin’s whereabouts, so she couldn’t let her guard down.

As they drove away from the airport, Skylar took a bottle of water from Joe and sipped it before speaking. “The negative items in Herman’s possession and those appearing in Jipsburg recently aren’t from the same source.”

Joe’s expression grew serious. “That person’s reach isn’t that extensive. Their target is a few families in Jipsburg.”

Skylar nodded in agreement.

While looking at Joe sitting beside her, she suddenly recalled the words Viola had spoken in her dream yesterday and the letter she had left behind. A heavy feeling settled in her chest.

“Missing me?” Joe teased, noticing Skylar’s lost gaze.

Skylar quickly glanced at Paul in the passenger seat, a new appreciation for Joe’s boldness dawning on her.

She quickly turned her head to look out the window. “It was clear and sunny yesterday. Why is it so overcast today?”

The gloomy weather weighed heavily on her heart. The dark clouds seemed to threaten a torrential downpour at any moment.

Joe glanced out the window as well. “The weather forecast says it will rain in about an hour.

“Are you still going to the office?” Skylar asked as she glanced at the time.

Joe simply replied, “No.”

He could sense that Skylar’s mood was off today.

Sitting in the passenger seat, Paul noticed that his presence might be too much of a third wheel. He glanced at the road ahead and said, “Mr. Martin, I can get out here. There’s a mall nearby, and I need to buy some skincare products for my mom.

He had a two–day holiday to use. Though this location was close to the office, it wouldn’t be a problem if he missed two days.

With the boss not heading to work, he felt no need to go either and decided to use both days off. Joe simply replied with a noncommittal grunt.

Lucas pulled over after checking the traffic conditions, allowing Paul to get out. 20 minutes later, Joe and Skylar arrived home.

Skylar had eaten lunch on the plane and wasn’t hungry yet. After showering, she noticed Joe was conducting a video conference in the study.

She didn’t want to interrupt him, so she headed to the kitchen to brew two cups of coffee. By the time the coffee was ready, Joe had finished his meeting.

Neither of them liked to add sugar to their coffee. Living together had unconsciously familiarized them with each other’s habits.

Before they could finish their coffee, Joe pulled Skylar against the table and kissed her deeply. They made their way from the living room to the bedroom. Original from NôvelDrama.Org.

In such matters, Joe always took the lead. However, they knew each other’s bodies well, and their chemistry was undeniable. They lost track of time, and it was quite late when it was finally over.

As Skylar drifted in and out of sleep, the aroma of food wafted through the air.

The differences in physical stamina between men and women were quite apparent. After their intimacy, she felt too exhausted to move, while Joe seemed as energized as ever.
