SLAP
The whole Enchanted moon pack looked up in anticipation for their soon to be Luna. The castle especially bustled with life.
As everyone was busy making preparations to ensure that day was a success.
The castle was being adorned with beautiful decorations. Everyone had something to do as they were all busy settling things right.
Carla pursed her lips as she stood in the huge hall where the coronation was going to take place. Nolan had assigned her to make sure everything was perfect there.
Something she very much hated to do but had no choice but to agree.
She lost to Layla and there was nothing she could do about it. Not only were her plans ruined, her mate died and it was all because of Sarah. If she had gotten done with what she asked her to do and poisoned Layla. She would have been in the dressing room, getting ready by the maids, not in the hall supervising.
She was slowly looking around the hall for any mistakes which she couldn’t afford to happen because Nolan would kill her, when her eyes caught a little boy holding a basket of ribbons.
She had heard that Layla brought in a child to the palace but she never had the chance to look into it, as she was so busy making sure that her coast was clear after what she attempted. This belongs to NôvelDrama.Org - ©.
“Who’s he?” Carla asked a maid who was scrubbing the walls as she pointed at Malcolm who happened to be walking towards them.
“That’s Malcolm..” the maid replied.
“Malcolm?” Carla’s brows furrowed in confusion as she’s never heard of the band before.
“Yes. He’s the son of Sarah. The Luna brought him in..” the maid informed and Carla felt her fist clench.
“Get back to work..” she said to the maid and quickly charged at Malcolm.
His mother was the reason her plan failed. She caused everything.
Then a plan crossed her mind. Just when Malcolm was about to walk past her, she placed her leg in the way, which caused Malcolm to fall on the ground, the flowers that were contained in the basket scattering all over the place.
“Come here you little slave..” she smiled in a cruel way as she yanked his little wrists. She was going to use that as a medium to punish him for his mother’s son.
“Oww..” Malcolm winced, feeling Carla’s tight hold on him.
“Please let me go….” He struggled with her as she was holding him too tight.
“Shut up!!” She fired at him.
“Look at what you’ve done. I’ve been watching you since you came in here and you’ve been so clumsy now you’ve ruined the flowers meant for decoration. I’ll teach you a good lesson today..” she accused and began to drag Malcolm away.
“Please let me go. It was only an accident. Something seemed to have gotten in my way and I slipped..” he cried out in his tiny voice but Carla was hell bent on making the little boy suffer.
“You’re still talking back huh. I show you how to talk to your elders..” she snickered and sent a hot slap right across his face that sent him flying to the ground.
Even the maids in the hall began to whisper on how cruel she was. He was just a kid who made a mistake.
“Take him to the dungeon, I’ll deal with him there” Carla instructed a guard. He was about to approach a crying Malcolm when a loud voice rang in the hall and they all turned to see who it was.
“Don’t you dare!!!”
“Who dares interrupt my orders..” Carla mumbled as she turned also only to see Layla walking towards her.
Layla had witnessed all that happened. She came in just when Carla slapped Malcolm, she slapped him so hard that the sound of her slapping him vibrated in the hall.
She quickly ran to Malcolm who was crying on the ground, his hand holding his face where Carla had slapped him.
“Are you okay?” She asked in sympathy as she helped him stand up on his feet.
She then removed his hand from where Carla slapped him and her blood immediately began to boil at the sight of that.
Her finger marks were showing on his face , it even left a sore as a blood stain was at the corner of his lips.
“Layla what are you…” Carla walked towards them in anger but was interrupted by a loud slap.
She felt a sharp pain right across her face. Layla had slapped her.
“What did you just do?” Carla yelled, holding her face in anger and embarrassment.
“Giving you a taste of your own medicine. You should at least know how it feels to be slapped..” Layla snapped at her. Malcolm was just a kid and look at what Carla did.
“How dare you lay your finger on me?” Carla charged angrily at her.
“I don’t mind hitting you again Carla. Look at what you did to a kid, don’t you have compassion..”
“I do whatever I want Layla, I punish whoever I want to!” She fired at Layla in anger. If not for Nolan, she would have fought back at Layla and made sure she lost that thing in her womb, she was holding back because Nolan would kill her for trying to harm Layla.
“Not in my palace Carla..” Layla uttered in a firm voice.
“I don’t believe this,” Carla chuckled in disbelief.
“You hit me because of a mere slave..”
“He’s not a slave. He’s my guest and I don’t care to know what he did to deserve this. He’s just five years old..” Layla deadpanned. How could Carla hit a five year old to the point of him getting an injury.
“Well Layla, your guest is going to leave this place today. Besides, he’s just a guest..” Carla scoffed.
“I guess you’re forgetting you’re also a guest Carla..” Layla reminded her She just didn’t get Carla at all. Couldn’t she get her own life to live.
Layla noticed Carla’s hairstyle and it was the same as hers, the length and the way it was styled. What was Carla seriously trying to archive?
“What did you just say?” Carla squinted her eyes in disbelief.
“That you’re forgetting you’re a guest also. You seem to be overstaying your welcome. If Malcolm should leave, I think you should also, besides I don’t mind throwing you out!” Layla confessed, what Carla did made her so angry.
“I can’t believe you said this. Wait till I tell Nolan…”
“Nolan, Nolan, Nolan..” Layla interrupted in sarcasm.
“It’s always Nolan. If you tell Nolan what do you think he’s going to do to you?”
“And it seems you’re forgetting that Nolan is my mate! He’ll listen to me more than anyone, not even you!” Layla fired with a stoic look on her Face.
“Layla!!!” Carla called as she fumed in anger.
“It’s your highness. Show some respect!” Layla held Malcolm by his wrist as she spoke.
“Come on let’s get that treated..” she walked away with Malcolm leaving a raging Carla in the hall.
