My Pretty Sweetheart (Arianna)

Chapter 2053

Chapter 2053

Jordan remained still as though he hadn't heard her. He looked at Hendrix and spoke with a faint smile on his face, "In the time since you've left the company, Jennifer had betrayed their interests several times and even attempted to sell their shares and sought to transfer ownership of it's property. I noticed that you were busy, so I helped out and brought her to you. As for how to deal with her, that's up to you."

I felt a chill run down my spine.

Jordan was terrifying. He didn't just frame Nathan and his wife, but he had also schemed against his own sister.

Obtaining evidence for Jennifer's crimes wasn't done on a whim. He had to have done it flawlessly. I wondered when he had even started doing this.

It was hard to be careful against your own brother.

Jennifer must have never imagined that when she had a chance to achieve her goal by avoiding Hendrix, she would end up falling into Jordan's hands. He always had a very gentle temperament after all. No wonder she looked so unwilling and resentful at him.

Hendrix looked down on the ground and ignored Jennifer. Instead, he met Jordan's cold eyes and said, "If you stop right now, we can all live in peace from now on. Otherwise, you'll have to bear the consequences."

Jordan chuckled. "I don't understand what you're talking about."

He paused for a moment and acted as though he had suddenly realized something. He said, "I understand. Hendrix, you mean to say that, we will have to support the family business from now on. We must defend it and help each other, right? Hendrix, you can trust me when I say that we will always be on the same side. Our blood is thicker than water. Nothing will separate us."

Not only did he have thick skin, he was very good at flattering himself.

Even if he was bent on revenge, Hendrix wouldn't harm innocent people. As for Jordan, he would willingly harm the people closest to him and would use them as test subjects to his experiments.

How could such a person be compared to Hendrix?

Hendrix didn't respond, but it wasn't difficult to tell from his face that it wasn't looking good.

Jordan was smart enough to know that he wasn't welcomed, so he decided to withdraw. "Since no one wants me around, I won't bother you."

"Hendrix," Jordan stretched out his

hand and tidied up Hendrix's suit "You have to take care of the gifts I've sent you. Don't be merciful on my behalf. I believe you'll provide me with some satisfactory results."

After saying that, he cast me a meaningful look and then walked away.Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.

He left with his men, leaving the magnificent living room empty. With the place cleared out, Jennifer, who was still on the ground, stood out like a sore thumb.

Hendrix took a step forward. He said patiently, "Give me a reason to let you go."

After living through half of his lifetime with this family, Hendrix was obviously much more cautious when it came to making decisions.

Jennifer had nearly died in Hendrix's

hands before. But this time, she didn't seem bothered by that anymore. Instead, she looked down at the ground arrogantly and said stubbornly, "There's nothing to say. If you think that women don't deserve a share of the property, call the police. I've done so much for the Marshall family. I don't think I've done anything wrong for taking my share before leaving."

Hendrix squinted, and said blankly, "Your parents have been kidnapped and are nowhere to be found. Yet, you busy yourself by transferring their property over to your name. Where is your conscience? You've truly inherited the Marshall family's values."

"They're missing?" Jennifer sounded surprised, but then continued, "That's impossible. Father is so crafty. Who could have done this?"

She shook her head and thought about it for a moment. Then, she asked Hendrix again, "Are you telling the truth? Father isn't coming back?"
