Chapter 97
Chapter 97
Thud!
Qemal was sent flying like a ragdoll, hurtling through the air before rolling across the ground and coming to a painful stop.
“Ah! Ouch! It hurts like hell! Mom, that witch Celena actually let that brute hit me! You have to make her pay!”
Qemal’s face was beet red as he clutched his stomach, sweat streaming down his face as if caught in a downpour. The kick to his gut had felt like a sledgehammer swinging at him.
Sherah, hiding behind Yafe, rushed to her son’s side when she saw him take the hit. She helped him up, gently dusting off his clothes where the dirt was barely visible.
Her face flushed with fury, she spun to face Calum and bellowed, You had the nerve to hit my son? Did Celena put you up to this? You think you’re tough, acting like a big shot? Just wait, I’m calling the cops on you!”
Calum looked at Sherah’s clueless rage mockingly and stepped
forward. He gave the mother and son duo a frosty look as they leaned on each other. He said icily, “Seems like you don’t want to leave. Guess I’ll have to help you out!”
Then, Calum tossed the two out of the door, followed by the shrieks and yelps of Sherah and Qemal. They were tossed out the door as if they were nothing more than garbage.
Yafe, who had been silent and standing aside, walked out with a scowl. He glanced at Sherah and Qemal sprawled on the ground and said with a disdainful sneer, “What an embarrassing mess! Are
you going to leave or not?”
With those words hanging in the air, Yafe strode toward where the cars were parked.
Liam stood at the second-floor window of the manor, his gaze fixed on the scene unfolding below. Inside, Celena and her daughter Jovie were lost in a world of games and giggles, their laughter a sweet melody in the air. Liam’s eyes softened as he watched them, a contented smile playing on his lips.
Celena paused and looked at Liam. “Liam, do you really think my grandfather and dad will come? If Grandpa does show up, having him apologize to me in front of everyone… I just can’t bear it. He used to
be so fond of me, and I…

Liam walked over, gently taking her hand with a reassuring smile.
Don’t worry, the Stones wouldn’t miss this chance for anything. They’ll

Celena was too kind, always putting others, even the Stones, who had
caused her so much pain before herself.
“Stop worrying about them. They’ve always underestimated you, right? It’s time they realized what they’ve lost and came begging for you to return,” Liam said calmly.
Celena nodded, though her face still wore a trace of concern.
At that very moment, Yafe sat in the Stone family’s home in heavy silence. Sherah and Qemal were beside themselves with grief, tearfully sharing the ordeal they had just faced at Jade Manor.
After Calum had given them a beating and tossed them out the door, Qemal and Sherah were a mess of bruises and scrapes. On the way home, Qemal even stopped by a clinic to get bandaged up so much that he looked like a mummy. Then, they stood in the grand hall, a pitiful sight, weeping about how unfairly they had been treated.

Qemal, with tears in his eyes and a quivering lip, pleaded to Reginald, ” Grandpa, I really did mean to say I’m sorry! However, who could’ve guessed Celena would set us up, having her goons block the door and not let me in? Then that security guard walloped me good! Grandpa, just look at the state my mom and I are in!”
