Chapter 96
Chapter 96
Yafe walked in silence, looking indifferent. The opulent mansion before him did nothing to stir his interest as he made his way to the grand entrance.
However, his emotions were a raging storm inside. He could not believe that his daughter, the one he had always dismissed, lived in a place ten times more luxurious than the Stone Mansion. The task given to him by Reginald then seemed daunting.
Just then, Calum stepped out from the villa’s gate, confronting the trio with a frosty demeanor. “Hold it right there! How did you get in?”
Yafe was momentarily stunned by Calum’s piercing presence and the deadly intent in his eyes. He stuttered, “I… I’m here for my daughter, Celena! I… came to bring her home!”
Calum’s eyes narrowed, his imposing demeanor briefly faltering before he doubled down, eyeing Yafe with renewed force. He glanced at Sherah and Qemal, who were peering around behind him, and retorted, “Oh? From the Stone family, are you?”
Qemal quickly moved forward, all smiles. “Exactly, I’m Celena’s brother. Where is she? Have her come out to meet me!”
Sherah followed suit, grinning as she said, “I’m Celena’s mom. Let her out!”
However, Calum’s frosty demeanor grew more aloof, and he shot back sharply, “Sorry, she’s not here! Go home!”
“What!? She’s not here?? Impossible! Is that little brat avoiding us? Get her out here, now! She’s holed up in this fancy villa and doesn’t even think to invite us to stay! What a little wretch!”
Sherah’s face twisted in anger as she heard the response, her voice rising as she hurled insults at Celena. Then came a sharp slap.
“Enough!” Nôvel/Dr(a)ma.Org - Content owner.
In an instant, Calum’s hand slapped across Sherah’s cheek, sending her sprawling to the floor. His eyes were aflame with a predator’s lethal glare as he fixed her with a hawk-like stare. “You think you can. wail and whine here and get away with it? I’ll gladly show you the door to hell!” he hissed.
Calum had been itching to put the Stone family in their place, and today, Sherah had practically begged for it by crossing him. Tough luck for her! He was not the type to play it composed like Liam.
Sherah was dazed by the slap, taking precious seconds to grasp what had happened as she sat on the ground. She scrambled to her feet, cradling her reddened cheek, and scurried behind Yafe in fear.
Calum stood there, an unyielding force. Even his fleeting look was enough to send shivers down their spines.
“Get out, now! Or if I have to get my hands dirty, I can’t promise you’ll walk out of here breathing,” Calum warned icy.
Yafe stumbled backward, Calum’s fierce gaze throwing him into a panic. He had known it would not be easy to bring Celena back, but not even to catch a glimpse of her?
When Qemal saw his mother getting struck, fury blazed within him. They had come to see Celena, after all. He lunged at Calum in fury. ‘ How dare you hit my mom? Who do you think you are? You
are just a guard dog! Do you even know who we are? Get Celena out here now! How dare she dare shut out her own parents!”
However, Calum snickered mockingly. In the next second, Calum’s figure blurred as he kicked Qemal right in his guts.
