Married At First Glance: I Am Not Ugly

Wedding Shopping (2)

The driver closed the car door, and they set off for their shopping trip. During the ride, Marissa decided to strike up a conversation.

“Hey, um… I know this might sound a bit strange, but do you know what type of clothes Alexander likes for the upcoming events?” Marissa asked, wanting to understand his fashion taste better.

The driver looked at her in the mirror and thought for a moment. “Well, ma’am, Mr. Alexander prefers classic and fancy clothes.

He usually goes for formal outfits. But it’s also a good idea to pick something that matches your own style. You both should look comfortable together.”

Marissa understood and appreciated the driver’s advice. She realized that finding a balance between their clothing preferences was important for making their fake marriage appear genuine.

“Will you help me choose an outfit that you believe Mr. Alexander would like?” she said.

“Of course, ma’am. I’d be happy to help you select something that aligns with Mr. Alexander’s style,” the driver replied with a friendly smile.

“I would be so grateful.” she said, smiling back at him.

Marissa and the driver arrived at the shopping district. The area was filled with various boutiques and stores, all offering an array of clothing options.

Marissa stepped into the first boutique, a high-end store with a selection of elegant dresses and suits. As she browsed through the racks, she began a conversation with the driver.

“I’m not exactly sure what Mr. Alexander’s style is, but I want to find something that will match his preferences.

Do you have any specific recommendations?” Marissa said.

“Certainly, ma’am. Mr. Alexander usually prefers formal and classic outfits. He tends to go for fancy and well-tailored clothes.

But it’s also essential that you choose something that aligns with your personal style. It’s important to look comfortable and confident together.”

Marissa nodded, appreciating the advice. She started to explore the dresses, picking out a few options that caught her eye.

“What do you think of this one?”

“That’s a lovely choice, ma’am. It’s elegant and could be a good fit for the upcoming events.”

Marissa continued to try on different outfits, seeking the perfect one for the fake wedding and other social gatherings.

The driver assisted her in selecting outfits that matched both her style and Mr. Alexander’s preferences.

After visiting several stores and boutiques, they finally found an outfit that Marissa felt confident in.

It was a well-tailored dress that exuded elegance and would complement the image of a happily married couple.

She was determined to make this fake marriage appear as authentic as possible, and the successful shopping trip was a step in the right direction.

Marissa and the driver got back into the car, the chosen outfit carefully stowed away.

As they drove back to the mansion, Marissa felt a mix of emotions. She was relieved to have found an outfit that met Mr. Alexander’s taste while still reflecting her own style.

The driver, seeing her contemplative expression, decided to start a conversation to lighten the mood.

“I must say, ma’am, you’ve made an excellent choice. Mr. Alexander will surely be pleased with your selection.”

“Thank you. I hope so too. This whole situation is quite overwhelming, but I’m determined to make it work.”

“I believe in your ability to pull this off. You’ve shown great adaptability today.”

Marissa offered a grateful smile. The driver’s words of encouragement were a welcome reassurance.

She knew that the success of their fake marriage was crucial for both her and Mr. Alexander.

“I appreciate your help and guidance today. It’s been a learning experience.”

“It’s been a pleasure assisting you, ma’am. If you ever need further help or have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask.”

Their conversation was filled with a sense of mutual support.

As they approached the mansion, Marissa felt a growing determination to make this fake marriage convincing, regardless of the challenges that lay ahead.

When they arrived back at the mansion, the driver helped Marissa with the shopping bags and then opened the door for her.

She stepped out of the car, feeling a newfound sense of confidence after successfully selecting an outfit that met Mr. Alexander’s taste.

As she entered the mansion, Marissa was surprised that Alexander was already home.

“You’re around? I thought you won’t be home anytime soon.” she said as she dropped her shopping bag.

“Yes, I don’t really have much to do so I decided to return home to rest.” he informed me while sitting on the chair watching Television.

“And before I forget, how did the shopping go?”

“Well…. It went well… I managed to find an outfit for the upcoming events.”

“Really…. that’s nice.” he said, still focused on what he was watching on the Television.

“Do you want to see it? So that it would go with your taste?” she asked, handing over the shopping bags to him.

He looked at the outfit she had chosen. A smile formed on his lips and he nodded in approval.

“The outfits are nice and I must say you have quite the taste for clothes.” he complimented. All content © N/.ôvel/Dr/ama.Org.

She looked at him in shock.

He looked at her with a confused expression.

“Why are you looking at me like that?”

“Because I’m shocked that you complimented me.” she said.

“Well… I do sometimes when I see something good.” he said as he sat down to continue what he was watching on the TV.

“Well thank you for the compliment.” she said.

“And I’m glad you like the outfits I picked because I asked your driver and he really helped me with the picking of the outfits to match your sense of style.”

“Oh really?” his face surprised at what I said.

“Mmm-mmm” she nodded.

“Well, he goes with me to the mall when I need new outfits or sometimes I want to get Jessie some new clothes to surprise her.

So I guess that was how he knew my sense of style.” he explained while pressing the remote to change the channel.
