Love is the Sunshine

Chapter 562 My Appreciation (Part Two)

Chapter 562 My Appreciation (Part Two)

"Duke, Cathy, you don't have to worry about it! Trust me! My husband is a businessman. He is actually

planning to turn this place into a tourist destination. Don't worry, he can earn back the money he's

going to invest in this place. You can decide to stay in this place or go out if you want. If you'd let them,

Abbey and Bob will be able to go to other places as well! Don't you also think that it's a great idea?"

Carla flatly told them. In fact, she didn't really worry about it at all since she knew that Terence had a

plan.

With the AJ Group's funding, the government would most certainly be glad to improve local economy.

"Are you serious? Then, that means we shouldn't be taking all of these money even more! Improving

and developing this place would be the best thing that ever happened to us! We couldn't possibly ask

for anything more!"

Cathy exclaimed, holding Carla's hand as she was looking forward to these improvements they

mentioned. Turning around to face Terence, she said, "Please take all of these back! We really

shouldn't be taking it!"

"Cathy, this is only a token of my appreciation for you for saving my precious wife's life,"

Terence softly told her.

Realizing that these two wouldn't take no for an answer, Cathy had no choice but to accept the money.

Terence and Carla decided to spend the night in the village.

Actually, Carla intended to head back home right away. She knew that Terence had issues with unclean

environments. But in spite of that, he insisted on staying for the night. He wanted to have an idea of Text property © Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org.

what she had gone through for the last four years.

For that reason, they stayed in the village for one night. During night time, bugs would come out of their

hiding places.

Sally had gotten accustomed to the bugs roaming around, so she never really minded it. There were

times where she would play with them if she felt like doing so. And if she didn't seem to be in a good

mood, she would simply step on them and squish them.

"Carla, when you thought of me back when you were staying here, did you take a seat here as well and

peer far into the distance?"

The dusk seemed to have shown up a bit early.

Terence's arm was over Carla's shoulder. Because there wasn't really anything for them to sit on, they

chose to sit on a relatively flat stone as they watched the beautiful sunset. Half of the golden sun had

disappeared into the horizon.

Carla looked at the picture-perfect crimson sky which had just been tinted yellow by the sunset glow.

"Hmm, not always. But thinking that you were also missing me just as much, I didn't feel as depressed

anymore."

Terence's heart almost melted away by her response. "Carla, I just thought of something! What do you

say we build a house here after the project is complete? We can drop by a few times a year along with

Sally. That way, you'd be able to keep in touch with Cathy as well as your other friends here,"

Terence commented. The scenery in this place was entirely different from that of the Seaview Villa. But

above all else, this place contained four years of her memories. And this was also the place where she

gave birth to Sally.

"I like the sound of that! Let's do it!"

Knowing that Terence would take care of everything else, Carla immediately nodded her head in

agreement.

During night time, Sally had no other choice but to share an old tiny bed with her mommy and daddy

due to the limited space available in the village.

Sally was probably the only one feeling comfortable in that bed as she was lying between her mom and

dad. One of her hands were holding onto daddy's arm while the other was holding onto her mommy's.

Looking as if she was having the time of her life, she couldn't stop giggling.

"Daddy! Mommy and I had slept on this bed for so many nights! What do you think? It's comfy, isn't it?"

Sally couldn't contain the happiness that she felt as her arms were wrapped around Terence's neck and

asked with a big smile on her face.

Terence had mixed emotions brewing in his chest right now. "Yes, honey. It's very comfy!"

He replied as he looked at his precious daughter and smiled.

In truth, he felt that the bed was actually as hard as a rock, while the comforter they were lying in was

much too old and had obviously been in use for a number of years. Although it had been washed, the

moldy smell still remained.

That might have been the case, but his daughter hadn't yet experienced sleeping on a decent bed back

then, so it wasn't surprising for her to think that this bed was comfortable.

When thoughts like these came to his mind, he couldn't help but feel guilty for not being able to find

them sooner. So, he planted a kiss on her cheek. And since Sally had a lot fun playing around all day

long, she soon fell asleep beside them.

It didn't take too long for Carla to fall asleep as well. After making sure that the two of them were

already in deep slumber, Terence got up and went outside. The moon was shining in the dark night sky.

Mist hovered on all of the valleys as the birds chirped from time to time.

It was much too cold to be standing on top of the mountain. Right now, Terence only had a thin shirt on

as he peered at the rolling hills from the edge of a cliff.

A cold breeze blew, causing the tiles of the dilapidated roof to squeak a little.

"Mr. Terence, please take this jacket. It's cold in the mountains around this time,"

Rainer said as he walked over toward Terence to hand over one of his jackets.
