Chapter 820: Yanis, You Shouldn't Fight Me for Him
In Yanis' call history, the second-to-last call was from Linda. After Yanis opened it and without scrolling
down, she immediately made the call. The two of them continued to struggle at the door, hoping that
Linda would answer the phone quickly.
After a few rings, Yanis felt her phone vibrate in her hand.
"Phoebe, South Park, call the police!" Yanis shouted into her phone amidst the struggle.
Neve slapped Yanis directly in the face and then violently tore at her, snatching the phone away and
throwing it aside. Content bel0ngs to Nôvel(D)r/a/ma.Org.
Yanis was momentarily dazed from the slap but quickly regained her senses, wanting to confirm if
Linda had heard her previous words.
However, Neve didn't give her that chance.
As the fire on the sofa spread and smoke filled the living room, Yanis began to cough. But Neve
seemed relentless. "Yanis, you shouldn't fight me for him!"
Yanis couldn't stop coughing and took a moment to catch her breath. "Neve, do you really want to die?
After Adam went through so much trouble to save you, don't you want to live a good life?"
Listening to Yanis, Neve burst into laughter. "Yanis, do you really think Adam would want to save me?
He only helped me to use me against you, to divert Zane's attention towards you so that he can take
advantage from elsewhere and replace Zane's position in Manchester City!"
Yanis thought that the Bennetts were truly insane. Only the Bennetts would do such crazy things for the
sake of status and position.
Watching the flames grow larger, Yanis tried to coax Neve. "Neve, you don't have to do this. You're still
young, and there's a long road ahead of you. You can..."
"Shut up!" Neve interrupted Yanis before she could finish her sentence.
Yanis' words halted. "Neve!"
"Yanis, I know what you're about to say. You're afraid of death, aren't you?" Neve suddenly distanced
herself from Yanis. "You're afraid, but I'm not. I'm not afraid at all!"
As Neve spoke, she turned and walked to the center of the living room, throwing everything that could
catch fire into the flames, intensifying the fire.
Yanis tried to stop Neve, but before she could reach her, Neve had already grabbed her wrist and
pulled her into the bedroom.
"Neve, calm down!" Yanis pleaded.
Neve seemed to ignore Yanis' words, forcibly dragging her into the room.
As Yanis was pulled inside, she noticed that the bedroom was filled with Zane's photos. From his
childhood to the present, almost every picture was enlarged and plastered on the walls.
Even though they were in danger, Yanis couldn't help but be captivated by the photos that covered the
walls.
Neve's love for Zane had truly reached an extreme, evident from the countless photos of him in her
room.
Before Yanis could snap out of her daze, Neve pulled her further into the room and closed the door.
"Yanis, we both love him. Let's take this chance to look at him a little more."
Yanis tried to break free from Neve's grasp, but Neve held on tightly. Yanis struggled for a while but
couldn't free her hand from Neve's grip.
She even felt a sudden weakness throughout her body, as if her energy had been drained in an instant.
Neve noticed Yanis' reaction and, seeing her feeble frown, spoke, "You drank the water earlier, didn't
you? Even if I let you go now, you won't be able to leave. So, Yanis, stop struggling. None of us can
escape today!"
After saying this, Neve suddenly let go of Yanis and lay down on the bed.
"I won't hide it from you. I actually envy you," Neve said while lying on the bed, her eyes filled with
Zane's image. "I envy that he holds you dear, and I envy that no matter what others instigate, he still
loves you."
Though Neve was locked inside, she had heard about Lana's situation from Nancy.
So, Neve felt both envy and resentment towards Yanis.
Outside, the fire had spread to the bedroom door, and the crackling sound of things being burned could
be heard.
The entire space was filled with thick smoke because all the doors and windows were sealed shut. The
room had turned pitch black due to the smoke.
Yanis wanted to pull Neve, who was lying on the bed, but she couldn't summon any strength. She even
felt a difficulty in breathing...
At the same time, in the studio.
Alfie handed the phone to Linda. "Sister Linda, call the police quickly!"
Linda looked at the phone in Alfie's hand. "Calling the police?"
"Sister Yanis said to call South Park," Alfie replied.
Linda didn't quite understand what Alfie meant, so she took the phone from him. "Alfie, did you answer
a call just now?"
Alfie nodded. "Call the police quickly!"
Linda's phone was locked, and despite Alfie's efforts, he couldn't dial the number.
They had no choice but to seek Linda's help.
After unlocking her phone, Linda called Yanis first, but the phone kept ringing with no answer.
"Are you sure Sister Yanis meant to call the police?" Linda asked Alfie.
Alfie nodded. "Yes, I'm sure!"
Linda hesitated for a moment before dialing the emergency number, providing the address as Alfie had
mentioned. "There's an incident at South Park!"
The person on the other end of the line asked for details, but Linda couldn't explain.
Feeling a growing unease, Linda assured them once again that something had indeed happened and
requested them to send nearby patrolling officers to check.
After hanging up the call, Linda almost instinctively wanted to call Bonnie, but she quickly canceled the
call, realizing Bonnie's situation.
Finally, Linda dialed Stella's number and asked for Zane's contact information.
Stella quickly sent Zane's phone number, and Linda dialed it right away.
After several rings, someone finally answered the call. "Mr. Lawrence, Yanis might be in trouble. She
went to South Park to meet a client, and she suddenly called me, asking me to call the police!"
Linda quickly recounted what Alfie had told her to Zane.
After hearing Linda's words, Zane didn't say anything and hung up the phone.
"Albi, go to the southwest hospital!" Zane exclaimed.
Albi was in the middle of organizing files when Zane's sudden shout startled him, but he quickly
responded and caught up with Zane's pace.
