Chapter 806 If You Want a Long Life, stay away from men
Yanis listened to Bonnie's words with some speechlessness and rolled his eyes, "Someone like you still
needs assassination? You don't even dare to resist when someone just lifts a finger."
Bonnie glanced at her lips and said, "You really know how to talk."
After saying this, Bonnie reached out to Yanis and pats her hand twice, "Okay, I'm fine. I'm just a little
freaked out. I'll spank him when he comes out."
"Why did you hit him?"
"Your honeymoon would not have been ruined for him."
Yanis cannot refute Bonnie's logic.
"By the way, Ivan asked me to tell you that he won't be able to come back for now. He'll see you when
he comes back later," Yanis whispered.
Bonnie made a sound of affirmation, "He sent me a message."
When it comes to Ivan, Bonnie looked at Yanis and asked, "What's going on between him and
Phoebe? Is there something there?"
"It's a bit uncertain. Ivan is not in the right state of mind at the moment, so the hope may be slim."
Bonnie listened to Yanis and pursed her lips. "Actually, when it comes to matters of the heart, others
really can't interfere. It's up to them to handle it themselves."
Yanis nodded and said, "So let's just go with the flow."
In the evening, Wendy asked Linda to bring over some food.
When Linda saw Yanis in the hospital room, she was also shocked. "Didn't Yanis go on a honeymoon?
Why is he here? Am I seeing things?"
Yanis stepped forward and took the thermos from Linda's hand. "How about I help you make an
appointment with an eye doctor?" he suggested.
Linda shook her head and said, "It's not that bad."
After speaking, Linda looked at Bonnie and asked, "Boss, what did the doctor say? When can you be
discharged?"
"Maybe I'll have to stay here for a few days, what's wrong?"
"It's okay, I'm just asking. Don't worry about the store. I am a mature adult now and can handle
anything that comes my way!" Linda said seriously.
Bonnie chuckled, "I thought you were going to stay and take care of me."
Linda waved her hand and said, "No, I can't take care of a pregnant woman. If it's just taking care of
you alone, then I have no problem with it. But if you want me to take care of your little darling in your
belly as well, I'm definitely not capable."
"You have such limited potential."
"Your mother is roasting you."
After hearing Bonnie's words, Linda nodded vigorously and said, "Yes, yes, I also feel like she is
criticizing me. As long as I eat well, drink well and sleep well in my stomach, why is it so difficult to take
care of me? She must be finding fault with me."
Yanis helped Bonnie serve her food before continuing, "Your mother must have had a lot of discomfort
when she was pregnant with you, right?"
After hearing Yanis' words, Linda shook her head and said, "My dad told me that when my mom was
pregnant with me, she could eat three big bowls of food a day and jump around like a monkey. He
thought she was reincarnated as one."
Bonnie stared at Linda as if she were a fool.
"What's wrong? Did I say something wrong?"
Bonnie shook her head and said, "No, I just feel like there's suddenly a little monkey here." Text © by N0ve/lDrama.Org.
Linda finally realized, "Oh, how pitiful I am. My father doesn't love me and my mother doesn't care
about me. They are hinting that I should quickly find someone to marry and stop bothering them."
Bonnie took the spoon Yanis handed her and said to Linda while eating, "Aren't you in a hurry now?"
"In a hurry? What's the rush? I've finally tasted the sweetness of being single, why would I be in a hurry
to jump into the grave of marriage?" Linda said disdainfully.
Then she looked at Yanis's face, "Besides, there is no second Mr. Lawrence in the world, and I am not
Yanis, so what happiness is not with me, if I really get married that day, not to kill each other is my
kindness."
Listening to Linda's words, Bonnie was shocked. "You weren't like this before. You used to feel like it
was the end of the world if you didn't have a boyfriend. What happened now? Did you suddenly see
through the world overnight?"
Linda nodded and said, "I have seen through the world of mortals. They say if you want to live a long
life, you should stay away from men."
"Are you planning to be alone for the rest of your life?" Yanis asked.
Linda nodded and said, "Don't be too happy alone. I like being with someone."
Bonnie reached out and pulled Yanis aside, "Don't mind her. She's just going through a three-minute
commitment-phobic phase before jumping back into the marriage trap."
Linda pouted, "Boss, I'm telling you, I'm serious."
Bonnie glanced at her and said, "Don't take it too seriously. We all get scared when you do."
Yanis suppressed a smile and helped Bonnie pick up some food, "Eat more."
After finishing their meal, Yanis turned to Linda and asked, "How did you get here?"
"I took a taxi. My electric scooter ran out of battery," Linda replied.
Yanis glanced at the time and said, "You should go back now. I'll stay here."
"It's not urgent. I'll go back later," Linda said. She preferred staying there in peace rather than going
home where her family would nag her.
Zane arrived after 8 pm with a lot of things in his hands, including fruits.
When Bonnie saw Zane carrying all those things into the house, she was as surprised as when Yanis
first came over.
Especially seeing Zane holding two bags of fruit made Bonnie want to laugh out loud.
Yanis was also surprised and asked him, "Where did you get all these fruits from?"
"My grandma gave them to me," Zane replied nonchalantly while putting down the bags on one side.
No wonder! If it were someone else, Zane would have given them a cold stare instead of bringing
anything over like this for them.
Bonnie had wanted to tease Zane earlier but hearing what he said made her swallow her words
instead. "Please thank your grandma for us."
Zane looked at Bonnie when he heard that and asked teasingly, "Aren't you thanking me too?"
"Why should I thank you?" Bonnie glared at him before realizing something suddenly. "Oh right! Thank
you Mr. Lawrence! When I'm discharged from the hospital please let me treat you to dinner!"
"And please don't forget about Mr. Lawrence too," Yanis added with a chuckle.
After hearing what Bonnie had just said, Zane looked at her again and asked playfully , "Is that all?"
"What else is there?" Bonnie looked puzzled by his question.
"Tonight Yanis lent it to you so no need for thanks?"
Bonnie tried hard not to retort but managed only this much: "Okay then. Thank You Mr. Lawrence. You
are such a kind person."
Hearing their conversation, Yanis couldn't help laughing out loud saying ,"Alright, you two keep talking
like this, and soon enough, you will be fighting each other."
Whispering under breath, Bonnie muttered ,"I am already itching for it now".
