Albi responded, "I'm not entirely sure. It seems Adam found someone."
Zane nodded, "Keep an eye on Adam."
"Okay."
The news of Neve's sudden release spread the following day.
After all, she used to be an A-list celebrity, and her original seven-year sentence was successfully
overturned in less than a year. Such news caused quite a stir in the industry.
Early in the morning, Yanis received several phone calls.
The previous incident had caused quite a commotion, so now that Neve was out, Sandy called to ask
about Yanis's situation.
"I'm fine. She can't possibly come looking for trouble with me just after getting released, right?" Yanis
replied.
Sandy huffed, "Well, she's a villain in my book. Yanis, you be careful."
Yanis reassured her, "Don't worry."
"Has Mr. Lawrence said anything? After all, you had a major scandal with him before, and you could be
considered his rumored girlfriend, right?" Sandy gossiped on the phone.
"Mr. Lawrence hasn't shown any reaction so far. It seems this so-called rumored relationship doesn't
matter to him anymore," Yanis stated.
After hearing Yanis's words, Sandy chuckled lightly, "That's good. If Mr. Lawrence dares to misbehave
even a little, I'll take care of her!"
"Take care of who?"
"Neve, of course. Do you think I can take care of Mr. Lawrence?" Sandy laughed.
Yanis chuckled softly, "Alright."
After ending the call, Yanis asked Sandy about her recent situation.
Sandy sighed, "I just have to endure for one more week, and then I'll be free. But first, I need to go to
Viteto and see Brandon. After seeing Brandon, I'll come back to you guys."
Yanis nodded, "Okay, after you're done, come and see the house."
"My sister showed me, and I'm starting to look forward to how it will be once it's fully renovated," Yanis
said. "In a little over a month, it should be complete, and you can move in during the second half of the
year."
"Perfect! Most of my projects in the second half of this year are in the vicinity of Manches City, so I can
stay there," Sandy replied.
At this point, Sandy let out another sigh. "Yanis, can I ask you a question?"
"What is it?"
"In the future, should I settle in Viteto with Brandon or have Uncle come over here?" Sandy had been
contemplating this since Aunt Bruton mentioned it earlier.
Although Brandon's idea was to follow Sandy, she wasn't a reckless person either.
The Hawkins family's foundation was in Viteto, so if Brandon were to come to Manches City, they would
face various challenges.
And her considerations for going to Viteto were relatively fewer compared to before. Exclusive © content by N(ô)ve/l/Drama.Org.
However, Sandy couldn't stop worrying about Stella. If she really went to Viteto, then there would only
be Sandy left in Manches City.
"Have you asked your sister about this question?" Yanis asked in return.
Sandy responded, "She told me not to worry about her, but how can I not think about her? She is my
only family in this world. I don't want her to be alone all the time. If she meets someone who genuinely
cares for her now and has someone by her side, then I will definitely go to Viteto. But for now, she is
alone. So I don't know whether to stay in Manches City or go to Viteto. And my sister is definitely not
going to go to Viteto with me."
"Sandy, you can think about this question again. Whether you stay in Manches City or go to Viteto in
the end, it's your decision. Your sister definitely wants you to take care of yourself," Yanis said.
Sandy listened to Yanis' words and murmured softly, "I'll think about it again."
They talked for a while before finally hanging up the phone.
When Yanis went downstairs, Zane had already gone to the company.
"Mrs. Lawrence, you're up. Mr. Lawrence said to have breakfast first before going to the store, and he
asked you to go to the study before leaving," the maid whispered as she saw Yanis coming down.
Yanis replied, "Okay."
After finishing breakfast, Yanis went straight to the study.
In the instant she pushed open the door, Yanis immediately froze in place.
The room was decorated warmly but not romantically.
There were gifts and flowers.
On the floor, a heart-shaped arrangement was set up. Zane, wearing a suit, held a bouquet of flowers
and stood in the middle, looking at her with deep affection.
"Yanis, happy birthday," Zane said after a long pause.
It took Yanis a while to regain her voice. "Didn't you say you were going to the company?"
Zane reached out his hand towards Yanis and led her into the heart-shaped circle. "Not today. I'm
staying with you."
They had talked about how to celebrate her birthday yesterday, but Yanis only casually mentioned a
few words. In the morning, she had completely forgotten about her birthday. She hadn't even had a
chance to check the dozens of messages on Facebook.
So she forgot about her birthday.
Zane handed the flowers to Yanis and then whispered, "Yanis, turn around."
Upon hearing Zane's words, Yanis turned around.
The first person to come in with the gift was Bonnie. "Yanis, happy birthday."
Yanis didn't have a chance to speak to Bonnie yet when Stella came in behind her. "Yanis, happy
birthday."
"Happy birthday, Sister Yanis! Forever young!"
Following them were Wendy and Alfie.
Behind them were Linda, Stanley. "Yanis, happy birthday! May you be forever happy!"
In the back were Haider, Iris, MitchReed, Evan, and Allan.
"Yanis, happy birthday! Surprised?" Sandy came in and handed Yanis the gift.
Yanis was genuinely shocked when she saw Sandy. "Aren't you filming?"
Sandy chuckled and imitated Zane's tone. "Not today. I'm staying with you."
Yanis couldn't help but smile. "Thank you."
Mila and Aurora also came in.
When Anika entered last, Yanis couldn't hold back the tears that had accumulated in her eyes.
"Sister-in-law, happy birthday, may you always be happy."
Anika seemed to be in a better state than before, and she was willing to speak.
Yanis approached Anika and hugged her. "Thank you."
"When did all of you come? Why didn't I know anything?" Yanis asked.
Bonnie nudged Zane with her lips. "Ask your Mr. Lawrence. I wasn't even awake yet, and the door was
almost broken!"
"What time?"
"Five o'clock!" Bonnie yawned. "Don't you consider my special situation right now?"
Yanis looked at Zane. "Why so early?"
"Catching a flight later," Zane replied.
Just as Zane finished speaking, Albi entered. "Mr. Lawrence, everything is arranged. The flight is
scheduled for 10 o'clock."
Zane acknowledged, then looked at everyone. "Alright, you can leave now."
"Your way of crossing the river by destroying the bridge is a bit too obvious, don't you think?" Bonnie
couldn't help but say.
"I'll have Albi take you back later."
