Chapter 796: Released on Bail Tomorrow
"Did Albi tell you?" Yanis asked directly.
Zane nodded, "He did. I'll give him the stuff another day."
"Okay," Yanis acknowledged.
After finishing their meal, the group of people planned to go to another place to have some fun. Bonnie
usually enjoyed the lively atmosphere, but due to the current circumstances, they had to return to the
villa after the event ended.
Yanis wanted to talk to Zane about Phoebe, so she asked Stella to take Linda and the others to
continue enjoying themselves while she followed Zane back.
On the way to dropping Bonnie off at the villa, Yanis brought up Phoebe's trip to M Country.
Zane didn't respond immediately upon hearing it.
Bonnie glanced at Zane, who had remained silent, and couldn't help but ask, "What's wrong? Mr.
Lawrence thinks Ivan isn't worthy of Phoebe?"
Zane looked at Bonnie through the rearview mirror after hearing her question and then replied, "No."
"Then why aren't you saying anything?"
"Does Phoebe like Ivan?"
Bonnie looked at him in shock. "You don't know?"
"Should I know?"
Bonnie hesitated for a moment, swallowing the word she was about to say, "Never mind if you know or
not. Do you think Ivan is worthy of your Phoebe?"
"Bonnie," Yanis softly called out, "This is a delicate matter."
After hearing Yanis's words, Bonnie glanced at her face. "It would be a good thing if they were to
become involved, considering they're both single."
"But you thought Mila and Ivan were suitable before," Yanis reminded her.
Bonnie cleared her throat. "Well, I misjudged. Who knew they wouldn't develop feelings for each
other?"
"I'll talk to my family about it, but are you sure Mrs. Baxter won't object?" Zane suddenly spoke up.
Yanis and Bonnie looked at Zane simultaneously upon hearing his words.
"Phoebe is also at the age where she can settle down and start a family," Zane said calmly.
"You want Phoebe to give it a try with Ivan?" Yanis asked, looking at him.
Zane nodded, "Is that not okay?"
In fact, Zane had his own ulterior motives for saying this. Even if Ivan and Yanis would never have
anything again, he couldn't tolerate even the slightest hint. Even if Ivan were to keep his feelings for
Yanis hidden, it wouldn't be acceptable. This issue had to be resolved at its root.
Therefore, if Phoebe could really be with Ivan, then it could be considered a complete "cutting the
grass and removing the roots."
Neither Bonnie nor Yanis could see through Zane's thoughts on this matter.
Yanis remained silent for a moment. "Let's leave it up to their own will. It's not appropriate to say too
much about matters of the heart."
Bonnie followed Yanis's lead and changed her tone. "Let's leave it up to them individually."
In truth, it didn't matter who Ivan ended up with, whether it was Phoebe or Mila. But it all depended on
Ivan's choice. If Ivan wasn't willing, then neither Phoebe nor Mila would do.
Soon, Zane parked the car in front of the villa gate.
Yanis and Bonnie got out of the car. "Let Auntie stay at the house later. It would be more convenient.
When your belly grows bigger, you need someone to look after you. It'll put our minds at ease," Yanis
suggested.
Bonnie responded, "Let's talk about it later. I'm just starting now. We'll discuss it when it becomes
inconvenient."
Although Bonnie had brought Auntie over, Auntie only took care of cleaning the house, and she
couldn't go upstairs. Many things were arranged according to Bonnie's habits.
So once things changed, it felt like a reminder that she had lost the most important person to her and
the person who loved her the most on a certain day in the past.
"Alright, you should go back quickly. I've been causing a fuss all day, and I'm a bit tired now," Bonnie
urged Yanis to get in the car. This content is © NôvelDrama.Org.
Yanis still insisted on watching Bonnie enter the house before turning around and getting into the car.
"Zane, have all the villas here been sold?" Yanis asked Zane after the car started.
Upon hearing Yanis's words, Zane seemed to guess what she was thinking and said in a low voice, "I'll
have Albi contact and check tomorrow. We can buy the one opposite hers so that we can occasionally
stay there."
After Zane finished speaking, Yanis turned to look at him. "How did you know what I was thinking?"
"It's a telepathic connection," Zane replied with a smile.
Yanis chuckled and didn't argue further.
Sometimes, the ordinary and simple things were the most precious.
Having too many demands and desires only exhausted a person physically and mentally.
On the way back, Zane hesitated for a while but ended up telling Yanis about Martin's injury.
"He got hurt? Is it serious?" When Yanis heard Zane mention Martin's injury, she couldn't help but worry
a little.
After all, no matter what, their blood ties couldn't be severed.
"He's fine now. Completely out of danger, thanks to Zane," Olivia softly said, "I didn't go today. I hope
you're not angry."
Having grown accustomed to Olivia's unpredictable attitude, Yanis didn't say much. She simply
exchanged a few words and hung up the phone.
"The water is ready. You should go take a shower first," Zane's voice sounded from behind as soon as
Yanis hung up the phone.
Yanis turned around and looked at him. "Why don't you go first?"
"You've had a long day. Go ahead, I'm not in a hurry," Zane replied.
Yanis was indeed a bit tired today, so she nodded and turned to enter the bathroom.
As soon as Yanis entered, Zane's phone started ringing.
Looking at the caller ID, Zane answered the call. "What's the matter?"
On the other end of the line, Albi's voice came through. "Mr. Lawrence, I just received some news. It
seems that Miss Bennett might be released on bail tomorrow."
Upon hearing Albi's words, Zane furrowed his brows slightly. "So soon?"
