When Zane returned home, it was already close to dawn, and Yanis was fast asleep.
After taking a shower, Zane climbed into bed.
As soon as he lay down, Yanis turned over and snuggled up to Zane, hugging him tightly. She
mumbled sleepily and then drifted back into a deep slumber.
The next morning, Yanis woke up early but didn't find Zane next to her.

When she finished freshening up and went downstairs, she saw Zane entering from outside.
"Did you just come back, or did you go out in the morning?" Yanis descended the stairs and walked up
to Zane.
Zane handed Yanis the breakfast he had brought, "I went out in the morning. You were asleep when I
got back last night, so I didn't wake you."
Yanis reached out and took the breakfast from Zane's hands, "And what about Auntie?"
"I didn't let her come today, so I went out to buy breakfast for you. You eat first, and after you finish, I'll
take you to the store," Zane explained.
Yanis nodded and turned to arrange the breakfast, "Shall we eat together?"
Zane glanced at the time on his wrist, "You go ahead and eat. I'll make a call to Albi and arrange some
things." After finishing his conversation with Yanis, Zane turned and headed upstairs.
Yanis watched Zane go upstairs and didn't think much of it. Since it was already getting late, she
quickly finished her breakfast.
By the time Yanis finished eating, Zane had just come downstairs, "Done eating? I'll drive you to the
store."
Yanis glanced at Zane's face and asked, "Are you busy at the company today?"
"Not really. Just need to handle a few things and I'll definitely be there tonight," Zane replied, stepping
forward to tidy up Yanis' stray hair. "Let's go."
Yanis nodded and followed Zane out the door.
When they arrived at the store, Bonnie and the others were already there.
The entrance was adorned with flower baskets.
"I'll head to the company first," Zane helped Yanis out of the car, "Today, Albi will stay here. If you need
anything, just let him handle it."
Upon hearing Zane's words, Yanis furrowed her brow slightly, "Isn't Albi coming with you?"
"No need. I'll take care of the company's affairs myself. He'll stay here to assist you," Zane explained.
The store was indeed busy today and needed extra hands, so Yanis didn't argue with Zane. She left
Albi behind to help.
After bidding farewell to Zane, Yanis turned and entered the store.
Bonnie approached and glanced towards the entrance, "Mr. Lawrence isn't giving you face today?"
Yanis replied, "There are some matters at the company he needs to handle. He asked Albi to stay, so if
Boss Cooke needs anything, just let him know."
Bonnie nodded, "That makes sense. I won't hold it against him, then."
Yanis smiled and said, "Why did you come so early? Didn't I say I would come early today?"
"No worries, I'm not a delicate person, and there's no heavy work for me to do," Bonnie said, pulling
Yanis to the entrance. "These two rows of flower baskets were sent by Haider and his group."
"Ivan still hasn't heard anything?"
Bonnie shook her head. "He hasn't replied to your message either?"
Yanis nodded. "I sent him a message this morning, but there's been no response."
Bonnie sighed. "Aunt Baxter has put too much pressure on him."
"Let's go inside," Yanis said, not dwelling on the topic. She entered the shop with Bonnie.
The grand opening ceremony today was lively, as it was the opening of two stores together. Besides
their mutual friends, many other people had come.
"Yanis."
As soon as Yanis greeted Mila and the others, she heard someone call her name. Yanis looked over
and saw Nancy standing on the side. She walked over and said, "I thought you had given birth
already."
"It's a few more days until the due date." Nancy handed Yanis a gift box. "I didn't know what you liked,
so I bought this. You and Bonnie can have one each, and they'll make a matching pair."
Yanis accepted the gift box. "Let's go inside and sit."
Nancy nodded.
Nancy hadn't been here for a long time because of Neve's situation. Originally, they had planned to
have the wedding, but due to Nancy feeling unwell recently, they decided to postpone it for the sake of
the baby. So after that incident, Nancy hadn't visited this place much.
There were many people who came today, but when Yanis saw Adam unexpectedly, she couldn't help
but furrow her brow.
"Yanis, do you know... Mr. Bennett?" Nancy naturally knew Adam.
Although Adam hadn't been in Manches City for a long time, they were still the Bennetts. Sometimes
he would come back, and Nancy had seen him a couple of times.
After hearing Nancy's question, Yanis answered softly, "He rear-ended my car on the road before."
Yanis stood up and said, "Please have a seat for now."
Nancy nodded. "Alright."
Adam walked in from the outside and made his way towards Yanis. At the same time, Albi appeared
next to Yanis, seemingly out of nowhere.
Yanis glanced at Albi and before she could say anything, Adam spoke first, "I didn't expect Mr.
Lawrence to be so guarded against me."
"Mr. Bennett misunderstood. Albi is staying here today because the store's opening is a bit busy, and
it's not because we are on guard against Mr. Bennett," Yanis explained. "Besides, we didn't even know
Mr. Bennett would come."
Adam smiled and said, "Miss Thompson..."
"Mr. Bennett, as I've said before, I don't mind if you call me Mrs. Lawrence," Yanis interrupted him.
Before Adam could finish his sentence, Yanis continued, "Considering that Mr. Bennett and I aren't
familiar, his repeated appearances in front of me have caused me some trouble. Shouldn't Mr. Bennett
think I have a reason to be upset?"
The smile on Adam's face didn't diminish because of Yanis' words. "I heard it was Mrs. Lawrence's
store's opening ceremony today, and I just wanted to come and give my regards. I have no other
intentions. Please don't mind."
"Thank you, Mr. Bennett," Yanis responded.
Yanis then looked at Albi. "Albi, give Mr. Bennett the hotel address later. Don't neglect our guest, Mr.
Bennett."
Yanis could be quite resentful at times. Last time, because of a few words from Adam, she was
distracted the whole day. So now, seeing Adam, she felt a strong aversion towards him.
Adam spoke up, "No need, I have something to do tonight, so I won't go."
With that, Adam handed the items directly to Albi and then looked at Yanis. "Congratulations on the
grand opening, Mrs. Lawrence."
Yanis nodded. "Thank you."
