Chapter 766: Emotional Breakdown

How is it possible to forget someone so easily?

Falling in love with someone only takes a glance, a moment, but if you truly want to forget someone

who has taken residence in your heart, it takes more than just a few days.

They say time is the best remedy, but perhaps time wasn't long enough for him to completely let go.

However, he knew deep down that there would never be a possibility between him and Yanis in this

lifetime.

Teddy sighed, "But you know deep down that there's no future between you two. She's with Zane now."

Ivan nodded, "I know, and I never intended to do anything. I just don't like being forced into doing things

I don't want to do."

Taking a deep breath, Teddy comforted him, "Let's not dwell on these upsetting matters for now. Since

we're here together, let's clear our minds and save the rest for tomorrow."

"Come on, let's have a drink!"

"Cheers!"

Tonight, Ivan had the intention of getting drunk, so he welcomed any drinks that came his way.

Everyone present had a few rounds.

People are strange.

When they want to get drunk, no matter how much they drink, they can't.

But when they don't want to get drunk, just a couple of glasses are enough to knock them over.

Others had already rushed to the restroom or collapsed on the couch, but Ivan remained unusually

sober.

Teddy had also had a bit too much to drink but managed to hold himself together.

The two of them leaned against the couch. "What should we do? Should I go to your place tonight?"

Ivan rubbed his temples with his hand. "No, they'll definitely come looking for me there. Right now, I just

want to find a place where no one knows me, be alone with my thoughts, turn off my phone, and let no

one find me. Only then will I feel like an independent individual, alive. Otherwise, I always feel like

everything I do is controlled by others, even my breathing. When they tell me not to breathe, I have to

hold my breath."

Teddy couldn't come up with beautiful comforting words, so he simply reached out, embraced Ivan's

shoulder, and patted it to show his support.

...

In the end, Teddy decided to call Yanis.

Because in Manches City, besides Bonnie and Yanis, Teddy couldn't think of anyone else who was

close to Ivan.

"Yanis, it's me."

Yanis had just come out of Anika's hospital room when she received Teddy's call, ready to get some

fresh air outside.

"Teddy, it's late. Is there something wrong?"

Teddy, with a hint of intoxication, said, "Well, I remember you have a suite in Linen Bay, right?"

Yanis affirmed, "But I let Anika stay there previously. What's the matter?"

"Well, Ivan had a fight with his family and got drunk. I didn't want to leave him alone in the hotel, so I

thought of finding a place for him to sleep. Naturally, I didn't dare disturb Bonnie, so you were my only

option."

After a brief pause, Teddy continued, "Originally, I wanted to bring him to my place, but he absolutely

refused."

Upon hearing Teddy's words, Yanis hesitated for a few seconds. "Wait a moment, let me make a call,

and then I'll get back to you."

Teddy responded, "Okay, no problem."

Yanis ended the call and immediately dialed Zane's number.

Zane picked up the call quickly, "Yanis?"

"Have you arrived home yet?"

Zane had only been on the road for about ten minutes after leaving the hospital.

"Not yet. I was stuck in traffic for a while. What's going on?"

"Well, Ivan had too much to drink and had a fight with his family. Can you pick him up and find a place

for him to stay?"

After hearing Yanis' words, Zane fell silent for a few seconds. "Where is he?"

"Starry Bar."

Zane said. "Got it, I'm heading there now. Oh, is Anika asleep?"

"Just fell asleep. I'll take a walk outside and rest in a bit," Yanis replied.

"Get some rest. I'll come over tomorrow morning. Auntie will prepare breakfast, so you don't need to go

out and buy anything," Zane whispered.

"Alright. Take your time driving and send me a message when you reach home," Yanis murmured.

"Sure."

When Zane arrived at Starry Bar, it was already past eleven, the prime time for nightlife. The hall was

packed with people.

Upon receiving Yanis' message, Zane headed straight to the upstairs private room.

Teddy looked at Zane as he pushed the door open, slightly sobering up. "Mr. Lawrence?"

Zane walked up to Ivan and glanced at him. "How much has he had to drink?" he asked.

Teddy replied, "He drank most of this bottle."

Zane frowned slightly and reached out to pull Ivan, who was slumped to the side, up onto his feet.

"Ivan?"

Ivan opened his eyes and looked at the person holding him, but it took a while for him to recognize who

it was.

"I'll support you, but you have to walk on your own. If you stumble and fall, it's not my responsibility,"

Zane said, lifting Ivan up.

Watching this, Teddy also stood up and followed suit. "Mr. Lawrence, should I go with you? Where are

you taking him?"

Zane replied calmly, "Taking him to a secluded place to kill him."

Teddy stuttered, "That doesn't sound good."

Ignoring Teddy, Zane grabbed Ivan and headed towards the exit.

Teddy stubbornly followed them to the doorway, watching as Zane pushed Ivan into the car. "Mr.

Lawrence, are you really..."

"You can call the police right now," Zane interrupted.

Teddy hesitated, "No need. He's not a little girl, and I'm worried you might take advantage of him."

Zane closed the car door and looked at Teddy. "Don't drive if you've been drinking."

"No worries, I'll get a designated driver," Teddy replied.

Zane nodded. "Then I'll take him back first."

After saying that, Zane got into the car directly.

Teddy asked with a slight delay, "Where are you taking him back to?"

But instead of responding to Teddy, the sound of the engine starting drowned out his question, and the

car swiftly drove away.

Zane brought Ivan back to D-king Castle.

"Mr. Lawrence, this..."

"Make some sobering soup for him," Zane calmly interrupted Auntie, then carried Ivan into a guest

room on the first floor.

He laid Ivan on the bed and was about to turn around and leave when Ivan suddenly vomited.

Zane stopped in his tracks, looked at Ivan, and said in a deep voice, "If you dare to vomit on the floor,

I'll make you clean it up!" All content © N/.ôvel/Dr/ama.Org.

Ivan had been jostled during the ride, so it was impossible for him not to vomit.

He supported himself and stood up. "Where's the bathroom?"

Zane pointed in its direction.

Ivan immediately got up and went to the bathroom.

Zane stood still, listening to Ivan's retching sound. He furrowed his brow slightly, then walked to the

doorway and knocked. "Need any help?"

After a long while, Ivan's voice came from inside, "No, thanks."

Zane whispered, "Auntie made some sobering soup. Drink some later before sleeping. There are new

clothes in the wardrobe. Make do with them."

Having said that, Zane didn't wait for Ivan's response and turned around to leave.
