Chapter 755: You Deceiver
Yanis looked at Bonnie and her eyes involuntarily welled up with tears.
As Bonnie covered her face, she lost her strength and suddenly crouched down. Her suppressed sobs
left Yanis at a loss for comforting words.
Instead, Yanis just stood there, watching Bonnie cry.
Yanis tried several times to reach out and pull Bonnie up, but each time she withdrew her hand.
When Zane arrived, Bonnie was already lying on the ground.
"Bonnie!"
Yanis reached out, wanting to help Bonnie up, but she didn't have enough strength.
Zane quickly stepped forward and lifted Bonnie from the ground. "Yanis, go find a doctor."
Yanis responded and hurriedly went to call a doctor.
It was the second time Bonnie was taken to the emergency room in a short period.
This time it took a little longer than the previous time.
After a series of examinations, confirming that Bonnie was fine, Yanis finally felt relieved.
Haider was handling things on Myles' side.
The traffic police checked the surveillance footage.
Myles was hit by a speeding truck while saving a child. He was seriously injured at the time.
In fact, his vital signs were already weak when he arrived.
However, the doctors made every effort to resuscitate him, although they couldn't save him in the end.
When Bonnie woke up, the traffic police had just finished explaining the situation.
"Bonnie?" Yanis was the first to notice Bonnie had awakened.
Bonnie's gaze was somewhat empty as she lay on the bed, looking at the white ceiling above her.
After a while, Bonnie reached out and grabbed Yanis' hand. "Yanis, take me to see him."
Yanis murmured, "Okay."
Myles' body was now in the morgue.
Haider was still dealing with other matters.
Yanis accompanied Bonnie to the morgue.
The cold space made everyone shiver involuntarily upon entering.
When Bonnie approached and lifted the white cloth covering Myles' face, she remained exceptionally
calm.
Yanis didn't approach to disturb her, gently closed the door, and stood at the entrance, waiting for
Bonnie.
Zane approached and pulled Yanis into his arms. Although he didn't say anything, it made Yanis feel
extremely reassured.
Bonnie stayed inside for twenty minutes before coming out.
Her calmness made people feel that Myles' death had no impact on her at all.
"Where's Haider?" After Bonnie came out, she looked at Yanis with a hoarse voice.
Yanis looked at Zane.
"He went to handle the procedures. He should be here soon," Zane replied.
Bonnie nodded, then looked at Yanis. "Yanis, are you going back? I want to go back."
After hearing Bonnie's words, Yanis was momentarily stunned. "Bonnie, you..."
"We've already broken up. Haider will handle his affairs," Bonnie interrupted Yanis.
Yanis opened her mouth but didn't know what to say.
"Maybe you and Zane should go back. I'll take a taxi by myself," Bonnie said, stepping past Yanis and
Zane, heading outside.
Just as she reached the door, Haider walked over from outside and stopped when he saw Bonnie.
"Bonnie."
Bonnie nodded and said, "Haider, I'm going back first."
Without pausing, Bonnie walked outside.
Haider wanted to say something, but the words got stuck in his throat.
Yanis called Bonnie several times from behind, but there was no response.
Yanis jogged to catch up with Bonnie. "Bonnie..."
"Yanis, can I have some time alone?" Bonnie looked up at Yanis. "I want to be alone for a while."
Yanis looked at Bonnie with concern. "But you're in this state now, and I'm worried."
"It's okay. I just want to go back and get some rest. I'm a bit tired," Bonnie said, lifting her hand to
release Yanis' grip. "You go with Zane. I'll go back on my own."
Yanis wanted to step forward but was stopped by Zane's outstretched hand. "Let her be alone for a
while. I'll drive you later."
Yanis looked at Bonnie's receding figure. "But she's pregnant and alone. I'm really worried."
"Eventually, she needs some time to accept it," Zane said softly.
Yanis listened to Zane's words in silence for a few seconds before nodding.
The two of them quietly followed Bonnie and watched her get into a taxi at the hospital entrance.
"I'll go get the car. Wait here," Zane said to Yanis in a low voice.
Yanis nodded.
Yanis thought Bonnie would go back to the Cooke Residence, but the car kept driving to the small villa
where Myles and Bonnie used to live together.
Bonnie got out of the car and went straight into the villa, never coming out again.
Yanis and Zane waited in the car until evening. Yanis ordered takeout before finally getting out of the
car to ring the doorbell.
After a long while, Yanis finally opened the door.
"Why did you come over?" Bonnie asked.
"I brought some food for you," Yanis entered directly. "It's all your favorites."
Yanis placed the bags she was carrying on the table. "Let's eat something first."
Bonnie nodded and grabbed the chopsticks, starting to eat.
Yanis watched her eat a considerable amount, feeling slightly relieved.
"Yanis, the guest room is over there. You can stay here tonight, and let Zane go back first," Bonnie said
softly after finishing the meal.
Yanis nodded. "Okay."
Bonnie stood up. "I'm going to bed. I'm a bit tired."
Yanis didn't have a chance to say anything before Bonnie had already turned and gone upstairs.
Yanis watched Bonnie go upstairs before turning to leave.
"How is she?" Zane asked as Yanis hugged him.
"She seems fine on the surface, but I'm sure she's struggling internally. I'll stay here with her tonight.
You go back," Yanis said.
Zane gently caressed Yanis's head. "Call me if anything happens."
Yanis nodded. "Okay, you go back."
"I'll go check on the Hughes family," Zane said.
Yanis nodded again. "Okay."
After Zane left, Yanis entered the house and went upstairs to check on Bonnie. Seeing that she was
asleep, Yanis quietly went downstairs.
After Yanis left, Bonnie opened her eyes.
Even though she had been crying alone here all afternoon, her tears seemed endless.
Whenever she closed her eyes, all she could see was Myles' figure.
This place was filled with their memories, each one sweet enough to make one sick of it.
"Bonnie, look at me."

"Bonnie, I think you look even more beautiful today!"
"Bonnie..."
Bonnie covered her eyes with her hand as tears continued to flow down her cheeks, soaking the pillow.
Myles' figure was everywhere in this room.
"Bonnie, will you marry me?"
"Bonnie, I love you so much! I want to be with you in this lifetime and the next!"
"Ah!!!" Bonnie suddenly let out a heart-wrenching scream, her voice hoarse, "You deceiver! Deceiver!"
Yanis stood at the doorway with a glass of water, furrowing her brow as she listened to Bonnie's
agonizing cries.
