Chapter 736: Ivan's Charm is Still Unfading
Hearing the voice, Ivan stopped and turned to the woman. "Is there something else?"
"Can I have your contact information? If there's any problem in the future, I can reach out to you
directly," the woman boldly approached, causing Yanis to raise an eyebrow.
Ivan remained composed and looked at the woman. "The staff here will provide you with the contact
information. They will assist you with any maintenance or repairs. I'm not responsible for that."
After speaking, Ivan nodded at the woman and turned to Yanis. "Let's go."
Yanis nodded and followed Ivan inside. When she finished chatting with Ivan and came out, he noticed
the woman sitting on a chair outside.
Yanis glanced at Ivan and said, "Ivan, your charm is still as strong as ever."
Hearing Yanis' words, Ivan chuckled softly. "So, Bonnie possessed you too? You're starting to make fun
of me?"
Yanis smiled. "Honestly, if I were given that set of accessories, I probably wouldn't have let that lady
buy them. It would have been a waste of money. It's clear that she's not well off."
"She's pregnant," Ivan said.
Yanis nodded. "That's why she feels justified in taking advantage of others."
"People come in all shapes and forms. There's more than one person like her in this world," Ivan said,
looking at Yanis. "Let's go."
The cashier was about to greet Ivan, but he raised his hand to stop her and left the store with Yanis.
"Should I drop you off?" Ivan asked Yanis.
Yanis looked at the time and raised his hand. "It's not far from here to Stella's place. I'll go see her, you
go ahead."
Ivan nodded. "Alright, I need to stop by the company."
They parted ways at the door. After Ivan left, Yanis walked directly to Stella's place. © 2024 Nôv/el/Dram/a.Org.
They had previously agreed to have Aurora work at Stella's store, but due to Maya's recent health
condition, they had postponed it until things stabilized a couple of days ago. Only then did Aurora start
working at Stella's store.
When Yanis arrived at the store, he found only Aurora there, looking at clothing sizes.
"Aurora," Yanis called out.
Upon hearing her voice, Aurora turned and looked towards the door. "Yanis?"
Yanis walked in. "Why are you the only one here?"
"Stella went to get some food. She'll be back soon," Aurora pulled over a chair. "Sister-in-law, have a
seat."
Yanis nodded and her gaze fell on the notebook in front of Aurora. "Still keeping records?"
Aurora responded, "I'm afraid I'll forget, so I go over them on my hand to reinforce my memory."
"Are you getting used to it?" Yanis asked.
"It's alright. If there's anything I don't understand, Stella teaches me," Aurora replied.
As they were chatting, Stella returned with a takeaway box in hand. "Yanis, when did you arrive?"
"Just now. I was at Ivan's shop, took care of something, and came here right after," Yanis said.
Stella put the takeaway box aside. "Did you have lunch? Let's eat together."
"I was just about to call you to have lunch together," Yanis said.
Stella said, "I bought a lot of food, enough for the three of us. Let's just eat whatever."
Yanis didn't refuse. "Alright, then I'll treat you guys tonight."
"Okay," Yanis had lunch with Stella and stayed for a while before returning to the store.
As Yanis got off the car, she happened to see Bonnie getting into a white car and driving away.
Watching the car disappear into the distance, Yanis entered the store.
"Yanis, you're back," Linda greeted, looking at him. "Where's Bonnie?"
"She left with a handsome guy," Yanis replied, glancing at Linda. "They said they're having dinner
together tonight."
"Myles?" Linda shook her head. "No, someone named... Phillips... I think."
Stanley chimed in, "Lane!"
Linda nodded. "Yes, yes, Lane!"
Curiously, Linda leaned closer to Yanis and whispered, "Yanis, do you think our boss is having a new
love affair?"
Yanis raised his hand and lightly tapped Linda on the head. "Don't talk nonsense."
Linda cleared her throat. "It's been a long time since Mr. Hughes came here to see the boss."
"Don't ask about the boss's personal matters. Get back to work," Yanis told her.
Linda acknowledged and turned to attend to her own tasks.
Yanis moved aside and decided to send a message to Bonnie: [Having dinner tonight? I made plans
with Stella.]
Bonnie's reply came quickly: [Can't make it, I already have plans.]
Yanis hesitated for a few seconds before asking: [With Myles?]
[No.]
Yanis wanted to ask who she was with, but before she could send the message, Bonnie's reply came:
[No, it's Lane.]
Reading Bonnie's response, Yanis decided not to ask further and simply replied with a simple "okay."
In the evening, Yanis arranged to have dinner with Stella, Aurora, Wendy, and initially planned to go for
cheese hot pot. But since Sandy also returned and wanted to join, they changed their plan and decided
to go for a private dining experience instead.
When Yanis saw Sandy, she almost didn't recognize her. "Did you lose weight?" Yanis asked as she
looked at Sandy.
Sandy sighed. "I starved myself. The food they served on the variety show was really hard to swallow,
and I had to pretend it was delicious. If we hadn't finished recording early, I would have quit."
Stella handed the menu to Sandy. "Come on, tonight you can order whatever you want. Let's make
sure you're well-fed."
Sandy took the menu. "Thanks, sis!"
Then Sandy looked at Yanis and asked, "By the way, where's Bonnie? Why isn't she here?"
"She had something else tonight, and she didn't know you were back," Yanis replied.
Sandy nodded. Then, noticing Aurora sitting next to Yanis, she asked, "Who's this?"
"Aurora, Zane's sister," Yanis introduced.
Sandy nodded and smiled at Aurora. "Hi, I'm Sandy."
Aurora had been staring at Sandy since earlier, her gaze never leaving her.
"I know you!" Aurora said to Sandy. "I've watched you in 'Bone King,' it was great."
Sandy smiled. "Thank you."
"Is Aurora a fan of Sandy's?" Stella asked Aurora.
Aurora nodded. "Yes, I've been a fan for a long time. I..."
Aurora interrupted herself, rummaging through her bag and pulling out a small notebook. She looked at
Sandy and asked, "Can I have your autograph?"
Sandy laughed. "Of course."
Sandy handed the menu to Stella. "Sis, you can take care of the orders."
After that, Sandy moved closer to Aurora, and the two of them started whispering and chatting.
There was a sense of instant connection.
"No way! You can't ship me with him!" Sandy suddenly raised her voice.
Yanis and Stella looked at Sandy simultaneously.
Sandy coughed lightly. "You guys talk about your thing! We'll talk about ours!"
With that, she pulled Aurora closer and whispered, "They're the real couple! Don't make a mistake!"
