While Bella was busy scrolling through her phone, Eva was reading for the test she has by Monday.

“Can you please let me focus Bella?” Eva asked sounding annoyed. She haven’t met someone that gets on her nerves as much as her elder sister.

“It’s pay back time. You should be glad I didn’t turn on the music, you wouldn’t be able to stay in this mansion of I do because it will be very loud, more louder than you’ve ever heard” Bella snorted, she turned her head back to her phone as she squealed in excitement over a post.

“Welcome back Mum, you could have let the maids do the grocery shopping for you” Eva said on sighting her Mum. Three of their maids came out and collected the bags from her.

Mrs Karl sat down on the couch, heaving a long sigh of relief.

“I wanted to take my mind off things, it did helped” she said and smiled at her.

“You look tired mum” Bella said and stood up from her chair, ambling towards her Mum. For the first time, the two sisters agreed on one thing.

“Is anything bothering you?” Eva asked worriedly.

“Nothing honey, just a little bit stressed. You don’t need to worry, I will be fine once I take my bath and have a hot tea” she said feigning to be ecstasy about it when she is clearly not.

She was sincerely worried about her husband, she wondered how he is doing in that place she doesn’t know. He wouldn’t take her because he thinks it is dangerous for her to follow him to his home.

“Are you sure?” Bella questioned which made her chuckle. While she is worried about their father, they are worried about her. How ironic.

“Trust me, I am” she replied confidently. Unlike her husband, Mrs Karl is good at hiding her emotions from their observative kids.

“I will prepare a tea for you while you take your bath” Eva said and she nodded.

“And Bella? Inform the maids to serve lunch, it’s time to eat. I will be down in a few” she said, stood up and headed towards the stairs.

About twenty minutes later, Mrs Karl came down looking refreshed. She changed into a simple gown and joined the two sisters in the kitchen. Grilled chicken, nuggets, fries and bacon eggs was served on the table. Just as promised, her tea was also waiting for her.

She gulped the hot tea down her throat first before thinking about the foods in front of her.

“This looks yum” Bella said and Eva rolled her eyes.

“That’s what you know best” she muttered lowly to herself knowing that she will be dead if Bella hears her.

“What did you say?” Bella asked instinctively with a glare.

“Nothing” she quickly replied and their mum shook her head at them.

“No fighting while eating, not now girls” she said sternly, instantly remembering them of their Dad. That’s his favourite statement on the dinning table.

“When is Dad coming back though? His number wasn’t connecting this morning, I wanted to know if he arrived safely” Bella said. Eva also wanted to hear the answer. Her father is the closest person to her, she tells him everything and anything because she is more comfortable with him.

“I believe he is fine, we spoke a while ago. He might be back probably before the end of next week, it depends on how fast he gets done with the project he went for” Mrs Karl lied.

“Now stop asking questions and just focus on eating your meals” she commanded.

“Yes” she replied with sincerity. She feels better because the Alpha king has been of help to her. He has been trying his best to cheer her up of which she is grateful to have him at this point in her life. Having him by her side lessen the pain she felt earlier.

“I don’t want to see that gloomy look on your face anymore, I hate seeing it” he said poking her cheeks with a lour expression.
