Carlos blood dried from his body on hearing the domineering voice coming out of the beastly human approaching him in fury.

With his eyes widened, his mouth agape and his hands shaking from dread, he was mysteriously lifted from Daciana’s body and slammed hard on the wall.

Alpha Connor walked up to them, his eyes mostly fixated on the female laying almost lifelessly on the bed, clad in nothing.

The left part of his body which remained human stared at her. He quickly covered her with the duvet before Dolphus enters into the room, he is outside taking down Carlos’ men.

Seeing her this injured and brutally tortured does nothing but made him burn more in fury.

His eyes snap to Carlos direction who was kept hanging on the wall. Alpha Connor doesn’t like using his power because it drains his energy after turning back into a wolf or human but he doesn’t mind, especially after seeing his female looking so horrible with different shades of marks on her body.

If he had been a minute late, this human could have taken advantage of her. Without no warning, Alpha Connor roared changing his full form into a rouge.

His rouge gets more infuriated when he is angry. Carlos looked up at him, terrified. He has never seen something in this form all his life. He was so scared that he ended up peeing on his body.

The loud roars of the rouge made his building shake which brought nothing but the fear occupying his mind, body and soul.

The beastly rouge dragged him down and he fell flat on the floor. Carlos looked away after meeting it’s eyes, screams erupt within him.

The beast looking creature’s eyes were mixture of dark blue and red. His screams and the roars of the rouge echoed across the room.

Carlos pleaded with his eyes, his screams doubled the moment he felt a sharp and painful bite on his lower abdomen, followed by his stomach and neck.

The rouge’s canine is so sharp that it tore deep into the places it bit him. Carlos groaned while breathing loudly and confused about where it hurts the most.

“I am sorry, please spare me” he apologized not knowing what else to do or say. He needed to survive, he needed to escape from this wild animal staring at him like it is ready to shred him into pieces.

That only got Alpha Connor angry, he growled while hitting his chest. The human did not think of sparing his mate when he was inflicting those pains on her and now, same him wants to be spared? He rushed towards Carlos holding him up by his chest while his teeth remained there and his fangs like hands supporting him.

He threw Carlos across the room and he wind up hitting the other side of the wall. Blood gush out of his head due to the massive hit.

As he laid there on the floor, already weak from being bitten and thrown on the wall. Carlos looked up to see it approaching him again. He shook his head, affright of what might happen to him.

He was scared, he doesn’t know how this thing he is not sure what it is gets to know his whereabouts. Carlos couldn’t place it, this animal is not a wolf, then why is it here to save a female wolf?

Whatever reason it might be, Carlos is not interested in it. At this point, he only want his life to be spared. That’s the only way he can have peace of mind but with the look of things, the animal isn’t done with him.

Alpha Connor ambled towards him, with every glance at Daciana, his anger keeping rising until it reached it’s peak.

His rouge isn’t that patient to hurt someone and leave them, it loved finishing it’s job just like now, the rouge wants nothing but to see Carlos dead. A part of it is beginning to accept that female is its mate. Since there is nothing it can do about it, it is only right to accept her.

The moon goddess should have a reason for making her their mate. It wasn’t just a mistake. All the rouge could hear was “kill and destroy”

With all the pain Daciana must have gone through and still going through, the rouge ran towards Carlos giving him a long bite until he is sure that the human is dead.

Carlos kept shaking, his eyes bulging out and his screams muffled until he stopped. Once again, the rouge beat it’s chest proudly and then roared.

Alpha Connor didn’t waste time in shifting back to his human form, he clinched his hand seeing the state his female was in.

Removing his shirt, he wore it for Daciana even if it was barely reaching her knee and picked her up in his arm.

Her eyes slightly opened, she smiled weakly at him. Glad he is here to rescue her. Knowing what she is about to do, Alpha Connor shook his head.

“Don’t, don’t close your eyes” he screamed at her. Daciana smiled at him again, this will be his first order she will have to defile, she can’t! She can’t keep her eyes opened. At least, she knows that she is safe and she has seen one of the two persons she badly wanted to see again.

And just like that, her vision became more blurry and her eyes slowly closed until darkness clouded her vision.

That moment, Dolphus stepped in.

“I took all of them down Alpha king, is the Luna okay?” He asked.

“Let’s leave here immediately, we need to save her. She is badly injured” Alpha Connor shipped in, ignoring Dolphus’question. He can see for himself that their Luna is not okay.

“Yes Alpha king” that said, they both sauntered out of the room with Alpha Connor holding his female tightly to himself.

Alpha Connor placed Daciana on his bed. They wouldn’t be able to leave New York City today because it’s already too late.

Dolphus had to step outside to give them some privacy and also for Alpha Connor to treat Daciana. They are not humans so taking her to the hospital will be useless.

Alpha Connor felt weak after shifting but he needs to use his power again. The thought of using his power to heal her crossed his mind.

He closed his eyes and took in a deep breath. He needs to be in a good shape before he can do that else, it will be a failed mission.

With his teeth gritted and his hands turning into a fist, Alpha Connor began the healing process but before he could do something meaningful, he felt a sharp headache and his hand he placed on Daciana burned.

This can’t be happening now, his powers can’t stop now that he wants to make a good use of it. Alpha Connor discovered that he has a special power to heal wolves other than himself when he was young.

He had saved wolves with his powers back then but when he wanted to use it on the people that were more important to him– his family, his power failed just like now.

He had lost them because he couldn’t save them. Is the moon goddess planning on doing the same thing to him again? Did she give him a mate just to take her back?
