Harvey York heaved a sigh after hearing the news. It seemed like his efforts were futile after all. He was only being painted as the villain, as usual.

"She won't die immediately.

Harvey briefly thought about the situation.

"I know you have people in the family.

"Tell them to draw some blood when the old lady falls unconscious within half an hour. She might survive for the next twenty-four hours after that.

"I'll have time to save her after that.

"That said, she'd be wheelchair-bound the rest of her life."

"And what if her blood isn't released in half an hour?" asked Ethan Hunt tremblingly.

Harvey sighed.

"Then, that'll be it for her."

Ethan went dead silent.

Harvey knew what he wanted to say.

"I know that you have a different identity now. Then again, you have an awkward position in your family since you're still just a bastard to them.

"I understand your concerns, but it'd be better to teach them a lesson, if anything.

"I'm confident your old lady will return to normal, but I need to do it in the next twelve hours when something happens to her.

Ethan froze.

"Why's that?"

"It won't be enough time for Veer to grovel before me."

Ethan was hesitant. He knew Harvey said this not because he was mad.

He was simply solidifying Ethan's position in the family.

If not, he and the people involved with him would be treated like dirt.

"Right. There's no need to be torn about this."

Harvey glared coldly.

"You might not care about what they did to you, but I still remember every single thing.

"If it weren't for you becoming a God of War under me...

"Do you really think you'd still be alive right now?

"You treat them like family, but what about them?

"If they weren't afraid of you in the first place... Heh heh... Harvey let out a cold chuckle.

"This might be the best chance for you to make a comeback. "If you're coming back, I'll support you with all my might." Ethan kept quiet for a long while before finally hanging up.

Harvey sighed before his phone screen. He was not angry at all.

Ethan's father was once the most outstanding member of the family.

But when the family fell because of internal conflicts...
