Before Alekos can finish what he is about to say, a loud noise comes from downstairs. It sounds like things are being broken. An argument follows
"What's Reyes' problem? Does he have a childhood trauma or something like that?" I try to guess
"Something like that," says Alekos. "Shoving food like that in his mouth brings back bad memories."
I bite my bottom lip before getting up from the bed. Moisture runs down my thighs. I might not like what they did to me, but I am not going to fight evil with more evil
"I don't think going to him right now is a good idea. Wait until his demon has calmed," Alekos warns me

I pick up Reyes' t-shirt from the floor and put it on. "If 1 am your hellstar, then I should calm his demon. When Reyes stops trashing the apartment, we will sit at a table and talk. And I will listen to the story about demons and angels."
Not waiting for Alekos to stop me, I leave the room
Chapter 147 Reyes and Stefan are in the kitchen, broken plates and cups were on the floor. Stefan is trying to stop Reyes from breaking even more
"Calm the fuck down," Stefan says
A loud growl comes from Reyes. His eyes are so red they seem to glow
There is so much anger in them it scares me for a moment. The phantom mask I'd seen earlier is back on his face
Why the hell is Reyes so upset over a piece of chicken?
I clear my throat, trying to catch their attention, but they don't hear me. "Reyes," I say calmly
Reyes punches Stefan in the face below his left eye
"Reyes!" I shout and rush to him, stepping over the broken plates. Reyes is about to punch Stefan again when I insert myself between the two of them and wrap my hands around his fist. "Stop," I whisper
Reyes turns his attention to me. His eyes are unfocused. "Mate," he growls in an inhuman voice after taking a deep breath. "You are hurt." He picks me up like I weigh nothing. "If you have cut yourself again, I will punish you."
I run a finger down his chest, hoping it will calm him. "How about we eat, and you tell me the story about demons and angels?"
Reyes walks out of the kitchen, and I glance over his shoulder at Stefan

he looks at me with such anger it crushes my heart. I don't blame him. No matter what I do, I always get them angry
"Are you alright?" Alekos asks when Reyes returns to the bedroom
Reyes puts me on the bed and inspects my feet. "I will be, but I might have punched Stefan." When he finds no new wounds, his eyes return to normal, and he sits next to me. "Now, will you stop making a fuss and be a good girl." I reluctantly nod, not wanting to add more to the drama surrounding me
"Good girl," Alekos coos and kisses my neck
"T should not have shoved the food in your mouth," I say to Reyes
Reyes takes a piece of the sweet pork with the chopsticks and offers it to me. "Do it again, and I will..." He doesn't finish his threat

"Do you want to talk about it?" I suggest
"No!" Reyes growls loudly
I give up. I am not a therapist. Besides, I have no desire to anger Reyes even more. "Aren't we waiting for Stefan? Or checking to see if he is fine? Reyes did hit him pretty hard." Alekos and Reyes start eating

"A punch is nothing to a Lord. Knowing Stefan, he is probably stewing right now and cleaning the kitchen," Alekos lets me know. "We will save some food for him."
I shrug and accept more food from Reyes
"Eons ago," Alekos starts saying while grabbing food with his chopsticks to feed me, "a third of the angels left Heaven because Michael, one of the strongest Archangels, tried to overpower and even kill Lucifer, the only Seraphim created by God. Michael had always been jealous of Lucifer's power and his snow-white wings. Michael's wings were light

"After leaving Heaven, Lucifer created Hell for the angels that followed him. Not wanting to be mistaken for still being an angel, Lucifer had his wings turned black and called himself demon, meaning fallen. Those who had followed him did the same and made Lucifer their king
"Demons and angels continued to coexist and work together. God is the creator of many worlds and has tasked both angels and demons to visit them often
