I ran to hug Gwen so hard but I think she wasn’t in a good mood. Who wouldn’t be in a good mood when they see their sister? How weird.

“Have you been”

“We are all doing well.”

“I’m so glad to see you. Greet everyone, I miss you guys so much.”

Gwen gave a fake smile. “Where is Carson?”

“He didn’t come with me.”

Her face totally changed until I heard benson’s voice behind me..”ma’am, I was giving strict instructions you don’t communicate with anyone.”

“Opps, I’m so sorry give me a Moment.”

“Ma’am I was strictly told to not allow you talk to anyone. I’ll have to take actions against.”

“Who’s this? ” looking at me curiously.

“Carson’s right hand man.”

“Time to leave ma’am.” Benson said, looking at me, but I didn’t do anything; this was just so unfair. Benson pointed to the hallway leading out the mall. “But I don’t want to go.”

“It’s an order strictly from Carson.”

“Carson isn’t here to dictate what I do Yunno.”

“Ma’am, it’s an order for carson.”

“Nobody is touching me.”

“Emmm, I think you should go Val.”

“I wanna talk to you.”

“Val just go, I even need to get to a conference. It’s alright.”

Was she pushing me away? She didn’t look like she was in a rush. Firstly she didn’t smile at

Me when she saw me and she asked about Carson rather than asking me how I’m doing. I nodded and left the shop. The security guard opened the door for me and I sat down inside the car.

“We would go to another shop to get you something.” “Don’t tell Carson about my encounter with my sister.” “Yes ma’am.”

“Promise!”

I could see a little smile pop up at the corner of his lips. “Promise.”

I felt a little relieved. He wasn’t going to tell Carson about this, I just hope he doesn’t. We got to the next location for shopping and I picked different jewellery and a lot of accessories, shoes, perfumes and I got a plushie for Janet. I’m sure she would be so glad.

We arrived at the mansion after a long day of shopping. The guards carried the bags to my room.

“Little rabbit you’re back.”

“Why are you still at home? Shouldn’t you be out doing work like always.” I said rollover my eyes.

“So I shouldn’t spend time with you?” He said, crossing his legs, looking at me. “Why should you wanna spend time with me?”

“Because I want to.”

“Spend time with nature.” I said walking away from him. I walked up the stairs to my room and I saw all the large boxes filled with Accessories on the floor. I jumped on my bed. Finally back to my big bed. “Today drained me, honestly.”

“It really did.” Carson said, walking into my room and closing the door. “What exactly do you want from me?”

“To spend time with you.”

“Why do you want to.”

“To make up for last time. ”

He smiled and walked over to me and sat at the edge of the bed.

“Can you leave?”

“It’s not like I’m gonna harm you, I’m guessing you still think I’m a bad person.”

“Who wouldn’t, you wouldn’t let me leave this mansion, I don’t have my phone, I can’t talk to my parents.”

“It’s all for your good.”

“My good you say, being poisoned is for my good? Nothing is for my sake. You’re just selfish, that’s what you are! A selfish man who just wants to use gir-”

“Say one more thing Valerie!” He raised his Voice at me.

“Why shouldn’t I say another word?”

He looked down at the red carpet under my bed. He was slowly calming down. “You wanna go?”

Wait, was he asking me that question? “I do.” “Alright pack your stuffs.”

He said standing up and walking out the room. I feel something left me. Why was I so weak and helpless? I got down from my bed. Why did he just casually say I should leave? He didn’t want me anymore. I looked up to see Janet run to help me balance myself

“Are you fine my lady?”

“Ya, ya just tired.”

“Let me arrange your stuff, you should rest, ma’am.”

“Nope, I’m not doing that. I got you something.” She looked at me with so much curiosity. I walked up to the biggest mall bag I saw there. I checked around for the plushie. Luckily I found it sooner. I bought out the big plushie and hid it behind my back.

“Close your eyes.” She held her eyes with her hands. I walked over to her “Open your eyes now.”

She opened her eye and she saw the plushie in my hand. “Is this for me!” She said so excitedly

“Yes it for y-”

“Thank you thank you ma’am.” She hugged me so tight. The first time I felt so glad after about 2 months in this hell pit. She smiled so widely as she released from the hug.

“The first time I’m getting a gift, I’m honestly grateful.”

“It’s not a big deal, alright.”

She nodded with a visible smile on her face. “Now let’s pack up this stuffs.”

We began arranging the room and setting things in order. I packed my bags too. Janet was so confused about me packing. I didn’t have the courage to tell her about what happened between me and Carson.

“Carson had a girl in his life?” I asked folding the laundry.

“Yes ma’am. He certainly had so many girls in his life.”

I paused looking at her”so you’re saying his a fuck boy?”

“I wouldn’t know? But it’s been two years now and he hasn’t brought any girls into the house again.”

“Do you know what made him stop bringing women home?” Janet kept quiet looking at me.

“Janet c’mon tell me”

“I’m strictly not to let anyone know.”

“Ma’am please I d-”

My heart stopped beating for a second, I felt so terrible hearing it.

“I was certainly surprised to see you stay for more than 2 months in this mansion and my boss really likes you. Never seen him do so much for just anyone.”

I dropped my clothes in my wardrobe “I don’t think so, if he did love me why lock me up?”

“Because, he would think you would run away like his mum did to his father. She ran away for another man, and she killed him too.”

I see why he didn’t wanna talk about his mum anymore that day.

“It’s such a pity he had to go through all this when he’s such a nice man, he deserves all the happiness in the world.”

“Indeed he does.”
