CHAPTER 25- I DON'T LIKE YOU

CHAPTER 25- I DON'T LIKE YOU

When Little Bee heard that he wanted to talk to her she wanted to go hide somewhere; she had yet not

recovered from the shock which was given to her last night and she was sure it won't be good if she

talked to him now. How was she supposed to avoid him now, he was connected on the phone. The

banging on the door intensified and she sunk deeper into her blanket.

She hid under the bed and closed her eyes; yes she can just pretend to sleep. The maid knocked on

the door a few more times before getting restless and pushing the door open slowly to check on her.

The girl seemed to be sound asleep, draped tenderly by the blanket she looked to be dead sleep. Now

she had no idea what to do so she ran down and reported that Bee was fast asleep. Ryan felt as

something was not right, he inquired, "Is she sick?"

The maid remembered how Bee was when she met her in the morning, her face was dull with her eye

bags showing up. She looked worn out and visibly lacked energy; she forgot to check her temperature

but all her expressions indicated that she was unwell. The maid vigorously nodded, “Yes Yes! I think Content property of NôvelDra/ma.Org.

Miss Bee is sick. Really unwell!”

Beep... Beep... Beep... And the phone was hung up without a warning. The maids were confused why

he hung up but knew it for sure that it wasn’t a good news for them. Stella kept the phone back and

looked at Lily who herself was sweating standing there, “Do you think we are in trouble?”

...

Ryan shoved his phone in his pocket and darted his eyes at Jack who was looking at him already,

“What happened, Ryan? Who was it?”

“Bee is sick.” The man directly jumped to the main point. The assistant whose mind was occupied by

thought of food too well up with worry, his expressions turned serious as he asked, “What? How?” The

man couldn’t help but feel restless, he wanted to see her right now. “Get my helicopter ready, I am

leaving right now.”

Jack stood up from his seat and nodding a yes went away to make a few calls. Ryan went back to his

room to pack his stuffs; the girl was the only one occupied in his mind. He was away for few days and

she ended up falling ill. The girl was really stupid, she didn’t knew how to take care of herself.

After he was done with packing his stuffs which were nothing but few clothes and ammunition;

meanwhile the time he was waiting he smoked two whole sticks out of anxiety. It didn’t take long for

Jack to show up, “The helicopter is ready, we can leave right now.”

...

Bee was sitting on her bed flying lazily the paper planes she made; after she pretended to be sleeping

no one showed up nor disturbed her. It was hitting half past twelve, her stomach was rumbling out of

hunger but like before, she had no will to eat. She sat there trying her best to do things and keep

herself distracted from thinking about him. Bee thought to herself that Ryan said that he will be back in

two days to keep her heart, without knowing that the man was already in New Orleans and was just

minutes away from home she stood up on the bed determined.

“No, why am I hiding out? Why am I sad?” She voiced out, “I am not afraid of him; I... I am not

ashamed. Why should I be? I wasn’t in love with him. No... No no no! He is a fool and I can easily

forget him.”

“Yes, Bee... You can...” Bee draped the blanket around her and a kerchief around her forehead. She

jumped off the bed and stumbled on the floor before stabilizing herself; she corrected the draped

blanket and started walking, imagining herself on a stage addressing people holding banners of her

name. She was in the world of her own fantasies, playing to herself, “Prince Charming... No no!

Change the address... Change it... MR. NEGUYEN! Yes, Mr. Neguyen will be only back by the

weekends and I will have plenty of time to forget him.”

She hugged herself and ran around, picked up few paper planes and rolled them into a stick like

structure. Pretending it to be a sword she swung it in the air playing to herself; with a tone as

determined as a knight she said “When he comes I will be one dope girl who moved on. I will look at his

face and say- I DON'T LIKE YOU, MR. NEGUYEN... YOU ARE ONE..."

Kachak... She heard her door being pushed open; with the blanket still draped around her and her

'sword' still up in the air she threw a devil may care glance at the familiar figure which was standing at

the door. She must say she felt the Earth being pulled off her feet when she discovered his handsome

physique standing at her door.

Ryan's ride landed just ten minutes ago and without wasting another second he drove himself as fast

as possible back home. He didn't even change his shoes as he directly headed upstairs to check on

her. He was told that she was ill and thus he chose not to knock on the door and disturb her sleep but

little did he know that he would witness her doing all fine.

The two like the other day stopped and stared at each other; while one was calm and collected the

other was having a mental breakdown. Bee felt her whole body go numb, why was he here. Wasn't he

supposed to be in Houston and even if he was coming back... Didn't he say he will be back in two days

which is tomorrow; why was he here now?

Bee was unable to decide how was she supposed to react- was she to get angry, start crying or just be

her happy go lucky self. She had not yet even practiced her expressions properly...

While the girl was squeezing her head to find a way out the man had his eyes scanning the whole room

thoroughly; she and the place she was living both were a mess.

"Why are you wearing a blanket?" He asked in his usual emotionless tone. Bee looked at herself and

snapped back to reality, she was making a total fool out of herself and that was the matter of her

biggest concern. She dropped her sword and started pulling herself off the blanket, complaining, "Mr.

Nguyen, don't you know how to knock? That was... Aaah... Really rude of you to come inside without a

warning."

Ryan lifted an eyebrow and saw her struggling to remove her tangled sheet, he took a step to help her

saying, "Let me help..." But to his surprise the girl stepped away from him. He stopped on his tracks

and threw her a questioning glance. Bee avoiding to look into his eyes replied, "Np, I am fine, Mr.

Neguyen."
