The morning sun began to shine, its light entered the room through the curtains. This was the second time Lexi’s cell phone alarm went off, but the man didn’t open his eyes either.

Lexi turned off his cell phone alarm. Then, he changed the sleeping position facing Jessica who was on his right side. He wanted to hug her back but there was no Jessica there.

With both his eyes still closed, Lexi groped the side of his bed.

The side of the bed was empty. His wife was not beside him.

Lexi slowly opened his eyes to make sure. Sure enough, there was no Jessica beside him.

Lexi opened his eyes. He tried to get out of his sleep, and stood. His eyes looked into the bathroom and there was no sound from there.

After that he walked to the bathroom door to check if Jessica was there.

“Jessica,” he called as he opened the door. However, he did not find his wife there.

“You stubborn bastard, I told you to get up at noon and not cook, but you’re always on your own Jessica,” Lexi muttered to himself, thinking Jessica had got up early and cooked for her. It might be Jessica already busy in the kitchen with the maids

Lexi was turning his head, making a movement on his neck. Then he looked at the wall clock. The clock showed 6. 00 am. His gaze turned to his wedding photo with Jessica, even though in only one photo he saw it, it made Lexi even more happy.

In the photo, his wife dressed in a simple kebaya dress, still looked beautiful. Jessica is beautiful, but only recently did he admit it.

The man decided to go to the kitchen. Yes, he thought his wife must have been in the kitchen. She was still sick, he needed to take her back to the room, lying on the bed.

Lexi was in the kitchen. There were only the maids. However, Jessica was not there.

“Where is my wife?” Lexi asked as he looked over the entire kitchen area.

“Miss Jessica is not here sir, there are only the two of us. I guess Miss Jessica is still sleeping upstairs. We woke up at 5 in the morning and Miss Jessica hasn’t been down at all,” one of the maid replied, pausing her activity of wash the dishes.

“No one has woken up yet,” the other maid, who was busy cooking, said. Both of them were wondering, not usually Mr. Lexi who was still wearing pajamas got down and went into the kitchen.

“Are you sure?”Lexi asked to make sure.

The two women, who were working in the living room, nodded.

“Find Jessica now also check in the back garden, also around the house, and all the rooms in this house!”Lexi said to the maids. While he moved quickly up the stairs on the 2nd floor. He checked the bathroom a second time. But Jessica wasn’t there. Then, he went to the balcony of his room. His wife was not there either.

A bad feeling flashed through his mind. Lastly, he checked every room on the 2nd floor. He checked in a little library in this house, but his wife wasn’t there.

A bad premonition was taking possession of his heart.

Lexi came back down the stairs. He met the maid one by one. They all give a report that Jessica was not anywhere.

Lexi began to huff, he grabbed the phone and tried to call his wife’s number. Many times he tried to call his wife’s number, but it was still inactive.

The man again walked the stairs to his room. He wanted to check the CCTV tape.

Lexi started playing the CCTV footage. He was speeding up when the time started at 4 am. There was no movement at all, until 5 am he saw Jessica crossing the living room and out of the house.

Looking at the tape, Lexi’s body trembled. His chest was cramped with pain in his heart.

The tape was moved into CCTV tape in front of the house.

There was a car to pick up Jessica, although it was not clear the license plate of the car. Lexi tried to remember that the white car most likely belonged to Daniel Kim.

Lexi: [Honey, Where have you been? Are you angry? Let’s talk, let’s finish everything. Why did you just leave? Did any of my words or actions hurt you? Do you have a mom or dad who doesn’t care about you? Don’t be angry! Let’s talk. ]

Lexi texted Jessica, then put down the phone and passed to the closet set. He had to change his clothes before he found his wife.

Lexi hasn’t changed her clothes in a minute, faster than usual. He chose comfortable clothes. He checked his phone before leaving the room.

Huft! Jessica’s number was still inactive. His message was still one checklist. That meant his wife had not activated internet data.

Lexi came out of the room. His hair was messy, he didn’t care about her appearance and kept stepping his legs down the stairs.

“Where do you wanna go?” Mrs. Anna asked who had just come out of her room. She was looking at the unusual expression on Lexi’s face.

“Jessica is not at home!” Lexi said without looking at her mother.

“Where is Jessica?” Mrs. Anna asked back. She was shocked to hear that Jessica wasn’t home. “Are you serious Lexi? Jessica is unlikely to go anywhere. Besides, she’s still sick” she said, shaking her head.

“I’m not kidding, mom! Jessica left the house at five in the morning. I saw her from the CCTV camera!” Lexi explained.

“Jessica is leaving?” Mrs. Anna still could not believe it.

“Yes, Mom, I’m looking for her now,” Lexi answered as he walked towards the door.

Only one destination at the moment.

The orphanage. He really hoped Jessica’s there.

“Wait Lexi!” Mrs. Anna stopped him by running small following the son.

“What Mom?”

“Is Jessica really leaving this house?” The elderly woman was shaking her head and still couldn’t accept the information she just heard.

“Yes Mom! Jessica left!” Lexi said with teary eyes.

“Where?”asked Mrs. Anna limp.

“I don’t know Mom, I’ll look for her!” Lexi wiped a tear on the cheek. He was really upset.

“Was Jessica kidnapped?” Mrs. Anna was ready to call the police.

“She went alone Mom, she went out of the house and there was a car to pick her up!” Lexi explained. Then, he rushed to the garage to ride his car.
