Skylar was grateful to Mrs. Alisa for saving her from Louis this time. She was grateful to Madison too for choosing now to visit Louis.

Skylar searched for her phone and found it on the bedside drawer. She took it and tried to call Helen or Alice… anyone…

How did his number get to her phone?

“Hey there, Sky, I’m glad you called.”

“Raymond? How did you know it was me?” Skylar couldn’t help but ask.

“I saved your number that day at the party,” Raymond replied truthfully.

“Oh,” was all Skylar could mutter.

She needed someone to talk to but she couldn’t bring herself to tell Raymond her plight.

“So, how have you been?” Raymond asked after a long silence.

“I’m fine and you?”

“Can I invite you out for lunch tomorrow?” Raymond threw the million-dollar question. He didn’t want to dilly-dally.

He’s wasted enough time before when they were still at home, back in London but now he wouldn’t let their reunion go to waste.

“Lunch? Uh….” Skylar was about to refuse. She didn’t know if Louis would let her go out.

“Please Sky, don’t say no to me, for old time’s sake.”

“Raymond I…..”

“Please Sky, I have a lot to say to you. Let’s meet up tomorrow for lunch.” Raymond pleaded. He wouldn’t take no for an answer.

“Alright.” Skylar agreed reluctantly. “Let’s met up tomorrow then.”

“Where do you want to go? Raymond asked joyfully.

“Anyplace of choice is fine by me, Ray.”

Skylar wanted to speak to Louis about going back to college. She didn’t want to cut her studies abruptly just because she got married. Once he agrees, she can out in the morning and go see the nearby colleges then she can stop by and meet up with Raymond.

Skylar already has the perfect plan for tomorrow but the universe seems to disagree with her.

Louis who was itchy and yearning for her, came in right at this time to hear her speaking to someone on the phone. At first, he thought she was telling her parents of her ordeals out here with him but his head sparked as he heard her say a name.

“Ray?” Louis’s eyes darkened as he heard the name. “Raymond Jones?” Louis repeated.

He wanted to be sure that he heard the name right. Skylar was alarmed. She jumped and turned abruptly to see Louis standing right behind her.

Her hand trembled and the phone fell out of it. At that moment she was like a child who had been caught doing something wrong.

Skylar looked at the door in amazement. It was still locked. She didn’t hear a sound so how did Louis get in?

“I… I….”

She wanted to say something but words eluded her.

Louis picked up the phone and tried to see the number but the phone was broken. He could barely see a thing.

Out of anger, Louis smashed the phone; making Skylar flinch in fear.

“Who was that?”

Skylar shuddered at his voice. It rang like a tsunami and she couldn’t help shaking. Her hands and legs were trembling and almost gave way.

Looking at Louis’s expression, she almost peed on herself. Her heart was racing and she suddenly felt dizzy.

“Didn’t you hear me? I said who were you on the phone with?”

Louis spoke so many words, then which means he is angry. Louis barely talks but whenever he speaks more than two words then he is mad.

“It was… it was… Ray… Mond”

“Didn’t I warn you against talking to him?” Louis slowly made his way toward Skylar.

“So you really plan to elope?” Louis took her silence for admittance.

With that, Louis pulled Skylar to him. In one swift movement, she found herself in his arms. He pulled the robe she had around her and that was immediately sent flying across the room.
