“Where are you guys?” Brandon asked and Jayden told him they were in a grocery store downtown.

“I’ll be there in a jiffy, ” Brandon said and with that, he ended the call.

A Black Roll Royce pulled in front of the grocery store. Brandon and Liam Alighted the car in a rush to the scene of the fight.

A lot of people were surrounding the both of them taking pictures.

“Shit!!” Brandon said as he made his way inside the scene, there he saw Hannah on top of a woman punching her like she was a punching bag.

“Hannah!!” Brandon yelled and pulled Hannah away from the woman roughly, making Hannah fall to the ground.

Brandon stared at the lady who was on the ground laying weakly, who was now bleeding on her face.

He quickly recognized her.

“Rhoda!” He called out surprised. Rhoda recognized the voice immediately.

“Brandon”, Rhoda called out as she managed to open her swollen eyes.

“Brandon please take me to the hospital, I’m in so much pain” Rhoda cried out and Brandon stared at her with pity and at the same time confusion on his face.

“Oh, Jesus! What were you thinking about, while beating her up? Do you want to kill her? Are you this heartless?” Brandon yelled at Hannah.

“Are you seriously blaming me? She fucking started it. She deserves it” Hannah yelled at Brandon.

“You started it, you beat me up when I didn’t do you anything” Rhoda managed to cry out in pain.

“You bloody liar. I’ll kill you with my bare hands” Hannah yelled and tried moving towards Rhoda but Brandon was quick to hold her and pull her off.

“If you dare lay your hands on her, you’ll regret doing it, I’ll make sure of that,” Brandon said angrily and Hannah scoffed.

“Wow, you are defending her, when you were supposed to defend me. Wow, just wow. Y’all are bastards, go rot in hell” Hannah said and with that, she walked away.

What was she expecting? For Brandon to defend her, it was mission impossible.

“Get in the car,” she said to her kids who were standing outside the car with worried looks on their faces.

The Octuplets quickly got in the car, Hannah ignited the engine and zoomed off at full speed.

“Brandon, please take me to the hospital” Rhoda cried and Brandon stared at her face, which was swollen. He barely recognized Rhoda.

He wondered what must have caused the fight between the both of them. And the whole time, Hannah had so much hate in her eyes while staring at Rhoda, he wondered what had happened. There was more to this fight, he thought as he walked towards Rhoda and carried her in a bridal style from the ground.

He carried her to his car, he entered his car, ignited the engine, and zoomed off to the hospital, not without Liam.

At the hospital, Brandon is seen standing at the corner of the hospital room, with Liam beside him, watching the doctor treat Rhoda.

Once the doctor was done, he turned to Brandon.

“I prescribed some drugs for her, it would help relieve her of the pain and make her heal fast,” the doctor said and bowed his head and with that, he walked out of the ward.

Brandon moved towards Rhoda, staring at her.

“How are you feeling now?” Brandon asked and Rhoda winced like she was feeling all the pain in this world.

“It hurts so much, she’s ruined my beautiful face” Rhoda cried and Brandon sighed softly.

“What caused the fight? And do you two know each other?” Brandon asked and Rhoda pouted.

“Yes, we know each other. We were once friends….” Rhoda paused and continued

“Something had happened between us in the past, which I apologized for but she refused to forgive me.

Today I saw her at the grocery store and decided to apologize again but then she started punching me. I didn’t think she would still be angry after so many years. I was only trying to make things right” Rhoda cried and Brandon stared at her weirdly, wondering what must have happened between them.

“You should rest, I’ll send someone to get you the drugs the doctor has prescribed,” Brandon said and Rhoda nodded in response.

Brandon was about to walk out of the ward but then Rhoda called his name making him turn to her.

“I heard the Donalds are going to hold a party in two days, can I come with you please?” Rhoda said and pouted.

“I’ll think about it, if you are well before then you can come with me. For now, you should rest and focus on healing. I’ll be on my way now, Liam would keep you company ” Brandon said and Rhoda nodded.

She felt her heart leap in joy, she was gonna go to the party with Brandon. She felt so happy.

Brandon and Liam walked out of the ward.

“I will go check on Hannah, if Rhoda needs anything, make sure she gets it,” Brandon said Liam nodded in response, and with that Brandon walked away.

Liam walked back inside the ward and stared at Rhoda for some seconds before moving towards her.

He sat on the chair close to the bed staring at her.

“Stop giving me that look,” Rhoda said as she touched her swollen face.

“That bitch ruined my face, I’ll make her pay for this” Rhoda groaned and Liam scoffed

“What happened between you guys?” Liam asked

“She attacked me first,” Rhoda said as she rolled her eyes and groaned in pain.

“The both of you know each other?” Liam asked and Rhoda hummed.

“Where’s Brandon?” Rhoda asked

“He’s left, he’s gone home,” Liam said and Rhoda frowned.

“Wasn’t he supposed to stay with me, I’m the girl he slept with years ago” Rhoda said and Liam shot her a deadly glare.

“Don’t give me that look. Fine, I know I’m not the girl but at least to him, I am the girl. He’s supposed to be by my side” Rhoda said and Liam stared at her without saying a word.

“Whatever! Do Brandon and Hannah know each other?” Rhoda asked

“Yes, they are….. friends” Liam lied and Rhoda nodded in response.

“You should be careful next time and try not to get into a fight with anyone.

It puts both of us at risk. What if Brandon decided to go into your case himself because of the fight between the both of you?

If he does, we are both dead.

You are trying to expose us, Rhoda.

You should be more careful”
