“I know, that’s why I’m going to protect her. She’s my responsibility now” Brandon said in response and Liam nodded.

“Is the car ready, I need to get to the company” Brandon said

“Yes…. Mrs. Mackenzie is going to the company too right? Why don’t you guys both go together” Liam said and Brandon then stood up.

“I’ll go check if she’s dressed already. You should use my car, the chauffeur will drive both myself and Cinderella to the company” Brandon said as he walked out of his study room to Hannah’s room.

He walked inside the room, without knocking…. There he met Hannah struggling to zip up her gown.

“Jesus Christ, ” Hannah said in shock as he turned and noticed Brandon watching her.

“Shit you scared me, you should knock next time,” Hannah said with a frown on her face.

“I’m sorry, I just came to see if you are dressed. I would want us to drive to the company together” Brandon said and Hannah stared at him without saying a word, but then she finally spoke,

“I’ll meet you outside, I need to get dressed,” she said and Brandon nodded, still staring at her. Hannah raised her eyebrows and gave him a questioning look.

“What?” She asked

“Let me help you with the zipper,” Brandon said

“No, I’ll do it myself,” Hannah said in response

“You gonna ruin the zip, let me help you,” Brandon said, after much pressure, Hannah allowed him to help her.

He moved towards her, standing behind her. He moved her hair from the back and placed it on her shoulder.

He held the zipper and zipped it slowly while staring at her flawless skin. When he was done he moved away from her before walking out of the room.

Immediately, he walked out of the room, closed his eyes, and opened and quickly shook off whatever dirty thoughts were going through his mind.

When Hannah was done getting dressed, she walked out of the house and walked towards the car, where Brandon was standing waiting for her.

He opened the car door for her and she entered. He walked towards the other side of the car, opened it, and walked in.

He wasn’t the one driving the car today, the chauffeur was.

“Where to sir?” The chauffeur asked

“The company,” Brandon said in response and the chauffeur ignited the engine and zoomed off.

The drive to the company was a silent one but then Brandon decided to break the silence.

“Where did you get all the information about Mr. Donald?” Brandon asked and Hannah rolled her eyes.

“Does it matter, what matters is that it’s all over and everything is fine?” Hannah said and Brandon hummed softly, just then he heard his phone vibrate, he brought it out and started operating it.

Meanwhile, Hannah on the other hand brought out her phone and sent a message to her mom, “Thank you for the information Mommy, I love you” Hannah sent and then smiled.

She switched off her phone and put it in her bag. She remembered her mom calling her last night to complain about the company and suddenly said something that involved Mr. Donald.

She asked him if he knew her and she said yes, they were once almost business partners and then she didn’t know he was a mafia lord and a drug lord until she found out. She gave Hannah all the necessary information and asked her not to partner in business with him.

Hannah felt so grateful, she was going to forever love the woman called Arianna Mackenzie, she’s helped her in more ways than she could imagine.

The car came to halt in front of the company. Both Hannah and Brandon alighted the car. Brandon walked inside the company with Hannah trailing behind him.

Just a female figure is seen running toward Brandon and immediately she got close to Brandon, she hugged Brandon.

“Rhoda, what are you doing here?” Brandon asked as he pulled away from the hug.

“Ain’t you happy to see me?” Rhoda said with a smile on her face.

“No no, it’s not that. Why didn’t you tell me you were coming?” Brandon asked

“I just wanted to surprise you, since you left the hospital, you didn’t come to check on me or call me and I miss you,” Rhoda said and pouted. Hannah who was standing behind Brandon stood watching the whole scene.

Rhoda turned and noticed a familiar figure standing by Brandon.

“Hannah” Rhoda called surprised to see her at BRC. co. She wondered what she was doing at Brandon’s company.

Hannah stared at her without saying. Word.

She shook her head and walked past them with both Brandon and Rhoda staring at her.

“Welcome Mrs. Colby” Hannah’s PA yelled as she rushed towards Hannah and took her bag from her.

“Mrs. Colby?” Rhoda muttered as she turned to Brandon with shock on her face. Hannah was Brandon’s wife, that’s impossible, Rhoda thought.

“Follow me to my office,” Brandon said and walked away with Rhoda trailing behind her.

Immediately he walked inside his office, he turned to Rhoda.

“Why didn’t you tell me you were coming?” He asked at once.

“I’m sorry, I felt so lonely and needed someone to talk to,” Rhoda said and pouted.

“You could have called, I would have sent Liam to come to keep you company,” Brandon said and Rhoda burst into crocodile tears.

“I’m sorry, I just keep having nightmares of me being raped. The memories of that night keep disturbing me” Rhoda said in tears and suddenly Brandon started feeling guilty.

“It hurts, I barely sleep at night,” Rhoda said and hugged Brandon. Brandon sighed softly and patted her back and pulled away from the hug.

“I got pregnant after the rape, I had wanted to keep the child but I had a miscarriage, I went through a lot Brandon, I almost lost my life…. It’s so traumatizing. The memories just keep coming back” Rhoda said and hugged him again.

Brandon was speechless, he didn’t know she had gotten pregnant and lost the child, their child, his blood with no one by her side. He felt so much pity for her, she must have gone through a lot.

He hugged her back, and Rhoda smiled as he felt Brandon hug her in return. He had fallen for her lies, she thought with a devilish smirk on her face.
