Back in Time: Unshackling From Love (Mikayla Davidson)

Chapter 244

Chapter 244

Mikayla had been in contact with Taylor and was familiar with his working style. He would never solemnly. Seek any top–secret information.

He was looking for her probably because of Irene.

She remained silent before asking, “Was Ms. Sullivan not stimulated enough? What else do you want me

to do?”

“You’re smart,” Taylor said, “She found out that you’ll be working at Mocato Investments next month. She wants to join as well.”

“So?”

“You probably need an assistant.”

“No, I don’t!”

“That’s all!” Taylor hung up the phone before she could respond.

Mikayla gritted her teeth. Damn it! Did he think she wasn’t troublesome enough? This text is property of Nô/velD/rama.Org.

Despite knowing Irene’s hostility toward her, he arranged for Irene to be her assistant. Was he crazy?

Mikayla kicked the weeds beside the flower bed out of rage. As a result, the weeds turned against her and bounced back.

She was so angry that she stepped on them. “You lose!”

Suddenly, she heard a chuckle from behind. She turned and saw a man in his mid–20s. He wore casual clothes and glasses and appeared warm and friendly.

She seemed to have seen him somewhere

“Kay, what a coincidence. I didn’t expect to meet you here.” The man smiled and approached her.

Mikayla finally recognized him after receiving his greeting. He was Todd’s grandson, Carl Young. After a few years, his youthful appearance had matured. He looked gentle.

Carl was four years older than her, so Eduard let him treat her as his sister and address her by her nickname.

It would sound weird if an unexpected person addressed her like that. But they got along well. Even though she hadn’t seen him in years, she didn’t feel embarrassed or unfamiliar.

Mikayla didn’t hesitate and greeted him warmly, “Hello, Carl!”

He smiled gently. “I heard from Grandpa that you guys arrived yesterday. I originally wanted to pick you up from the airport. But I couldn’t make it because I returned at midnight. I’m sorry.”

“You’re busy enough. Don’t worry about us. We can make arrangements ourselves.”

Carl smiled warmly again. “Grandpa and Mr. Davidson Senior are up there chatting, right? If you have time, let me show you around the hospital.”

“Sure.”

The environment around the hospital was suitable for walking.

The last time Mikayla met Carl was when she was in her sophomore year. Although they had contact Information, they had never contacted each other. But they didn’t feel strange when they walked together.

They soon returned to the ward. Eduard and Todd seemed delighted to see their familiarity.

As Todd had to rest in the afternoon, Mikayla and Eduard left the hospital.

She accompanied Eduard to the hospital in the morning for the next two days. In the afternoon, she would bring him to have fun in some safe and spacious place.

She’d removed the gauze as her hand injury had almost healed.

Jerome hadn’t contacted her in the last two days after calling her that night.

Three days before Wanda’s birthday, Mikayla decided to return.

On her last day in Lakeville, she went for a stroll with Eduard on the historic stone path while enjoying the scenery. She didn’t let go of him because she worried he might twist his ankle
