Wendy was tired of crying, and her eyes were as red as a little rabbit’s. Rex closed the book and said, “Go back to the room and sleep.”

“No.” Wendy rubbed her eyes. “I don’t even know how to answer these questions.”

“We can get some progress gradually. Besides, you’re not so stupid,” Rex said teasingly.
