Everyone present shook their heads, but Gideon at the back felt a sudden jolt of fear, cold sweat breaking out on his back. Could he have been deceived by that vile woman?

Being sought by the police definitely meant trouble!

Gideon forced himself to stay calm and curiously asked, “Excuse me, what crime has this person committed?”

Enzo stared intently at Gideon, finally focusing on the nameplate on his chest and said, “A wanted criminal. If this gentleman has any information, please share it.”

“No… no… I’m just curious…” Gideon quickly shook his head. He hated Addyson to the core; if he had known, he would never have gotten involved with her! If the police found out, it would definitely implicate him!

Gideon thought maliciously that maybe once they set sail, he should deal with her properly…

Enzo frowned, finding nothing suspicious in Gideon’s expression, and left the cargo ship with his team, feeling a bit disappointed.

The inspection of the other cargo ship also yielded no results.

Enzo approached Brendon and Ranita and said helplessly, “We didn’t find her. She probably isn’t on the ship.”

Ranita clutched Brendon’s hand tightly.

“Is there no news from other parts of the port either?” Brendon frowned. Such a large person couldn’t just vanish without a trace!

She wasn’t a deity who could ascend to the heavens or descend to the earth.

“Not for now! We will assign more personnel to continue the search!” Enzo was also frustrated. They had stayed up all night and still couldn’t find where she had gone.

The police had also contacted Addyson’s family, but they couldn’t reach her either; she had completely lost contact.

“We discovered that Addyson did board a ship at the dock. Surveillance around the area shows she didn’t leave, so she is most likely hiding in the port or on a ship.”

“I know that, but several cargo ships left last night.”

Brendon frowned even more deeply. “Enzo, are you sure there’s no news from these two ships heading to Sreah? We can wait for the ships that left last night to dock, but if these leave the country…”

If Ayaan was taken away like this, finding a child in a foreign country would be even harder.

Enzo was slightly taken aback but realized it was a good idea upon further thought.

It would just cost some money.

One of the two cargo ships heading to Sreah was carrying electronic products, and the other was transporting textiles. With the information in hand, Caleb could quickly contact the trading companies or exporters in Sreah.

Under a massive financial incentive, delaying a cargo ship’s departure was a minor issue.

Within an hour, everyone on both ships was notified to disembark and reschedule their departure.

The crew members were quite happy to get an extra day or two of rest.

The only unhappy person was Gideon. He was inquiring about the situation with his superior and hadn’t yet confronted Addyson when he was informed of the delay, intensifying his sense of foreboding.

“Captain, what exactly happened? Why the sudden delay…” Gideon had some familial ties with the captain, who whispered, “I heard from those cops that a woman kidnapped a child, and that child’s family is extremely wealthy…”
